Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
Just to be clear, the fact that we've seen The Boomsday Project's Rogue Legendary spell does not preclude you from making one of your own. Your card doesn't even have to be related to this new expansion at all.
My card borrows from my The Trials Within Us expansion, turning Vanessa VanCleef's token-spell into a standalone:

Not sure about balance, but I like the flavour. I would prefer it in a more control oriented class. This could essentially give all minions on your board windfury to the face, which would seem pretty likely with how rogues can spam the board. Also, i would prefer another classes given that we've already seen a rogue legendary spell ;)
So, I had this effect for a future card in the Big Competition, but it's so perfect. I wanted to post it here:
No, how many of you will get the reference?
EDIT: Now got it to work.
This could really destroy aggro. Not sure if I like it. What would happen if a minion dies in your deck? Would the minion get removed from the deck, or would it die when drawn/played (making it a dead draw)? This is probably a too big deck attack. Also, I don't get the reference :P
Here's my card. I'm pretty sure it's too busted as well.

A minion that reaches 0 Health in your deck would still be drawn and can still be played to trigger effects like Knife Juggler, but would die immediately.

I'm not sure I follow what you mean about the Windfury. The bomb causes the enemy's board to attack itself; it has nothing to do with your side. If anything it punishes the enemy for spamming the board, as that gives you more minions to drive (temporarily) insane.
As for the class...*shrugs* It plays to the Rogue's sneakiness, gives them an interesting board control spell that they lack, and it works with Vanessa VanCleef's flavor; from the wiki: "Unlike her father, she is not especially skilled in close combat. However, she has very impressive skills in making poisons, especially ones that cause hallucinations or insanity."

I would love to see something like this. Also I'm aware that with this card it is possible to "face Lord JarraXXUS" at turn 1, but only if you go second and have a coin + wasn't gamaged for more than 1 health... but this is pretty heavy requirement and not very consistent. And even if you will do this you literally give up your "draw engine". In addition to this wombo-combo it may be very useful to activate Duskbat,Lesser Amethyst Spellstone , Deathweb Spider or even Hooked Reaver or Bloodreaver Gul'dan . Very flexible and seems like 4 damage is just right,

Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.
Aight, so I have three current front-runners, but they've got the sorts of effects that are tough to balance, so any and all help is appreciated.
Which one do you like most? And should I go for a more Mech-y feel to fit with the expansion?
Warcry, i love it, it's a holly piece for a minion based deck.
The warlock one, i don't know, feels slow, but at the same time you can just, make a deck with a lot of heavy tools, discard them with cheap minions or spells, and have a turn 4or 5 Mal'Ganis. but seems inconsitent at the same time, you need to discard your heavy stuff to make this card shine, and as every discard synergy card, you have to be luck and, do not discard it xD
Soul Swap, this card terrifies me, just control a little bit the board, but let your opponent attack you, and bum, Soul Swap + Mind Blast + Holy smite, and its game, the other side, is that against control, it's useless, or game defining, this can be the winning card on fatigue game, or just a dead draw.
I totally forgot about Illusionist :) But wild is wild and even there this combo won't be that oppressive. With Illusionist spellstone, duskbat or spider won't be activated. Sure you can play whole your hand with it, but only one card like Twisting Nether, Vanish or Brawl is needed to deal with all stuff you played last turn. This is like High risk - high reward card. Early in a game you won't have full potential of this and on later turns your opponent most likely will have something to deal with it.

Definitely not Soul Swap. It creates this unhealthy game where your opponent can't damage you for fear of getting hard punished. I like Warcry the best.

In terms of Wild, my concern would be Coin -> Coin -> Violet Illusionist -> Coin x Infinity -> Mal'Ganis/something huge + Bloodreaver Gul'dan and/or the rest of my hand, all on turn 1-3. If your opponent lacks a way to remove the large target(s) immediately, that's a huge swing in your favor. Even one solid hit with a giant minion can be game-winning, and most won't be prepared for such a tactic on turn 1.
My other concern is that such a spell would mean that Blizzard has to remain cautious about the Warlock until the end of time. They now have a means to gain infinite mana, and any future card could theoretically abuse that.

I see your point... then is there a way to change text in a way where receiving a damage is a requirement to receive a Mana Crystal? English is not my native, so maybe I can't clearly formulate a sentence. Maybe something like: Deal 4 damage to your hero THEN gain 1 Mana Crystal (this turn only)." Would this be clear that receiving a damage is a requirement?

I think that's part of the card's inherent problem, though: tying the potentially-infinite mana to taking damage. Damage can be mitigated (or prevented outright, as we've noted). If you want to give them mana, it has to be tied to a truly limited resource, like minions on the table or something.
Just off the top of my head: "Echo Destroy a friendly minion to gain 1 (or 2?) Mana this turn." That maxes out the Coin at 7 uses, lets you trigger Deathrattles and/or you can just pick off your crappy Imps.

Basically puts up to 7 minions from each players' deck into play, then destroys them all. It favors you if you have no minions or have deathrattles. Note this might be OP af, so give some feedback, thanks :)

This version still has problems with making a cycle, say Summoning Portal, Phantom Militia and Knife Juggler is still infinite damage. Something like "Destroy all friendly minions. Gain 1 Mana Crystal this turn for each minion destroyed this way." without echo would be closer to your intent.
For the original idea of turning life into Mana and avoiding an infinite loop we really need to avoid the echo concept. I would suggest simplification:
"Deal 10 damage to your hero. Gain 1 Mana Crystal this turn only for each damage dealt to your hero this turn."
This wording would avoid any concerns about with going infinite or becoming immune. It does have a disadvantage of not being clear that you can never have more than 10 mana at a time.
