While the exact flavor is off, I think I was the closest to predicting Dr. Boom's return with Metal & Mayhem! haha :D

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3

Then we have ShadowsOfSense who's Mount mechanic is exactly like Magnetic. Slightly different in execution and design, but exactly the same base idea. His Ambush keyword is also exactly the same as Quick-Time from my Time Traveler class... and then Explore is just like the Hero Power.

Well, all that's left is to hope. Lots of promising entries in——do we know how many roughly get to the next stage from the number of entries there are?
Strangely they didn't give a time warning as they have with each other big event. At least, I thought they did each past event but maybe I'm wrong here, but I thought I remembered them at least giving 24 hour warnings and I don't notice that here.
*Unless they did and I just read past it like a derp*
... and absolutely no one took advantage of the extra half hour.
Dr. Boom's internship must've caused some unfortunate circumstances to befall them :/

More than half the contestants wants it to rotate and, to be honest, while I can see why it's frustrating, I don' think it's a good idea. It's only good in aggro decks and only in metas that aren't too greedy. So, yes, it's good in the current meta, but aggroladin wasn't a deck at all until Un'Goro (iirc). If DF was so OP as to be rotated out, aggroladin would have been tier 1 since the dawn of Hearthstone.

I edited my layout! So it wasn't all in vain.
About HoF candidates... Yeah, Divine Favor seems to be the number one card people get rid of. The reason why isn't just the metagame, but it's usually called 'Divine Bull****" by your favorite streamers because it's just so unfun to play against. It punishes you for playing an intelligent game with a hand, versus vomiting everything out onto the board until you start topdecking. It's bad design as well as oppressive, kind of similar to how Ice Block wasn't always played in every Mage deck but was often used as a get-out-of-jail free card. Those sorts of cards don't feel good to play against imo. Still though, it wouldn't be the end of the world if it remained in standard.
I actually was thinking about Mountain Giant, but we're just on the edge of new hand-related decks that if I decided to nerf them while also HoFing Divine Favor (which counters them) I'd just be making the game more boring. At the same time if Hand Druid gets as potent as Handlock it'll be hard to justify a bunch of 8/8s roaming around the board for no effort.
Funnily enough, Illidan Stormrage almost had two people HoFing him. I was going to move him when one of my expansions was heavily Demon focused and involved a bunch of Demon summoning synergy.
The idea didn't pan out, but I was concerned that being able to summon Demons so freely would make it too good, so he was getting moved. Once I switched over to the Undead idea instead, there was no reason to move him anymore, so I switched it for Divine Favor instead. I'm not particularly for or against it, it just seemed like a likely candidate for moving - I wasn't a fan of the idea of Ice Block moving for example, but I totally expected them to do it.
There are so many...complicated sets or mechanics that I just don't enjoy, but I guess I'm alone on that. I still think stuff like Red mana is way too much for Hearthstone. It just breaks the spirit of the game in my opinion. The core mechanics of hearthstone has...never changed. 30 card decks, you start with 30 health, Mana is spent on resources and you only get 10 of them, ramping up each turn naturally or through cards in druid largely.
Any board effect states or, stuff like Tide I just am not a fan of at all. Hearthstone likes to keep itself simple and asking players to construct decks with red mana, or remember their 'Dive' status, Or how many Tide ticks they are on just isn't feasible in my opinion. At least, not in the current state of the game as it is. There are some really cool designs in those sets but I just can't in good faith vote for something like that.
I know it's fan creations, I know we're allowed more freedom. We don't have to abide by hearthstones rules. But it still seems out of place to me. I just try and think of things we could reasonably see the team doing and unfortunately for me none of those fit the bill. We're ideally designing things for Hearthstone y'all.
As a whole we seem to have gotten a lot fewer entries than the last few competitions I was a part of. Perhaps because it's bigger, but I feel like we're missing out on some neat stuff. We got some clear favorites early on that definitely I can see why they get what they get.
@CheeseEtc. Interesting statistics. I only swapped in divine favor because a ton of people absolutely did not like me unnerfing innervate and including it in the hall of fame for some reason.
Right, since I'm not competing this time I think I'll try and put out a review of my thoughts towards most of these entries. I quite like a lot of the concepts that were explored here, many did a good job.
Good luck you guys, I'll try to be present over the course of the comp.

And the return of Mechs too! With an actual identity as well! I hope Magnetic becomes an evergreen keyword for Mechs.
Er... was the Hall of Fame part necessary? Because I just realized I forgot to include it in my submission.
Wait I thought the submission would close at the end of the 10th.. welp. RIP me I guess.

I had fun looking at which cards contestants HOF'd the most in their year.
25 (!) contestants
More than half the contestants wants it to rotate and, to be honest, while I can see why it's frustrating, I don' think it's a good idea. Actually, I think that some limited amount of burst damage available to all classes isn't a bad thing.
