Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

Similar to Spell Damage, you can see a Secret's upgraded bonus while it's in your hand and after it’s played. Once an upgraded Secret is played, the bonus remains even after Musa dies or leaves the battlefield.

interesting idea, but too ambiguous, like how does one know what the upgraded secret looks like? i'd just say "add one to all numbers on the card text"
my first idea, open to balance suggestions and art:
Wanted to do something involving Health manipulation and healing, which is the major thing I associate with trolls in fantasy in general, not just Warcraft. The alternative name was Bloodscalp Scavenger, but the art was too...burly for it.
Of course, he immediately goes for a different game's take on trolls...
@AngryChicken - Plus, there's Misdirection. All the other Hunter Secrets have relatively easy to guess upgrades (3/4 Poisonous Cobra for Venomstrike Trap, 4-Cost minion for Wandering Monster, a minion costing (3) more with Freezing Trap, etc), but Misdirection's harder to guess. Will it always go to their face? Will it target the (next) strongest minion in play?
The cards sparkle and the upgraded portions show up in asterisks (like Spell Damage bonuses) while it’s in your hand just as explained and shown above. The examples I gave is how it looks in your hand and in play.
Yep, got that covered. Changes “random character” to “random *enemy*”. It’s a weaker buff than say Wandering Monster and 4-Cost but the Secrets themselves have varying power levels too.
This is my first idea. Probably will be making a few more cards, but I wanted to post this to get some advice vis a vis balance and flavor. These cards are based on the Voodoo Loa Baron Samedi, a loa of death and resurrection, and his more violent and brutal aspect, Baron Kriminel. Samedi and Kriminel seemed to fit best in Warrior. Kriminel's wording seems clunky to me, but unsure how to change it while retaining the effect.
This is what i have in mind, not sure about the name tho.
Was looking over the Zandalari wiki page, so there's some ideas for alternatives to "Elite..."
Zandalari Madcap - Rogues that embrace madness, chaos, and unpredictability, sowing mayhem in the enemies of the Zandalari. Would be fitting for its random nature, especially in a Deathrattle Rogue archetype.
Zandalari Augur - Trolls with divine sight, casting bones and reading leaves for insight, and knowing the mojo of the elements. Would be fitting for the refined artwork, since the Augurs were so revered.
Okay, so here is my first idea. Now I've never played WoW before, so I'm taking everything here based on internet sources.
His art makes him look like a Rogue, but he's actually more like a Druid. He transforms into several different forms while fighting. When you play him, you transform him and you pick between a set of 5 options thrice and he becomes a new form. Kinda like a smaller Galvadon. Some examples:
Some notes:
Unlike Adapt, all 5 options actually appear at once to choose from rather than choosing from 3. In the past, we have seen the ability to choose out of 4 before (Kalimos, Primal Lord is one such example). Never 5, though it might be possible.
Zul'jin has a Bear Form, Eagle Form, Lynx Form and Dragonhawk Form. The difference is purely visual and chosen at random.
The annoying part will be making the tokens for the choices.

I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
Love it.

Oooh, a more thematic contest this week, I like it, I like iiiiit!
See the examples and explanation. It shows the upgraded word/stats.
so how does it show the stolen DR on target? Disappears?
This is what i have in mind, not sure about the name tho.

So I have an idea, but I'm not to sure about the balancing on this idea. I would like to hear what you would do to balance it.

1) Maybe this was already discussed, but why didn't the winners get any banners?
2) AngryChicken- that's a super interesting card. GL with it.
[edit] Here's the list of all hunter secrets. How would you upgrade Wandering Monster (4-drop?)
