Congratulations to our finalists! Despite how "messy" the theme was, we received a plethora of submissions; 195 in total. Not bad considering The Witchwood is right around the corner.

Card Design ChampionOk, I don't want to start a theater, but I think that Zukuu deserves this place more than me. I mean, just look at this - Book of Specters outshines my card in every possible way. In wild people still have Coldlight Oracle in their disposal, if they don't want to discard spells in their combo decks.
Zukuu's idea fits the current theme pretty nicely. His card gives zoo some viable support for the cost of health (this reflects perfectly warlock's thematics), while not making the card unbalanced. It will give zoo an edge over the other aggro decks - for the cost of health the warlock can fight for the board, they will regain control over it and thus win the game. Not to mention, that Zukuu figured out this card pretty early. I think he deserves some credit.

Card Design ChampionCompletely Professional Review 7.14: Son of a Witchwood
Ew two cards that go to 5 lines and a “you win the game” card. Also I don’t think “Victory” works as a quest reward. Would it? Can a quest just bestow victory? Eh. I really don’t knkw what to vote for, I’m not super impressed by anything

Card Design ChampionThis week had surprisingly many entries, even though the theme doesn't feel very "hearthstoney". Many forced concepts that do not really make sense flavor wise are the result of that. Too bad, I actually wont vote for any card this week...

Card Design ChampionI'm so confused by the front page posting habits. Two weeks of no front page post for the submission thread (and comparatively few entries) followed by front page posts for the final vote. This week, we get a post for the submission thread (and, as always, that gave a ton more entries) but nothing for the final vote. Hoping this evens out once Witchwood is out.
Voted for Kazzak and Time-Travelling Goblin but overall pretty unimpressed this week. I think we proved there is a reason why Blizzard doesn't actually print cards that play around a fatigue mechanic. You either create a card that is kind of worthless for 99% of the game (100% if the game doesn't go to fatigue) or you create a card that causes fatigue damage early, in which case it isn't really "fatigue" damage, imo, it's just regular damage.
Also, I like that the poll turned Kazzak into Kazakus. Fun to think that they are the same character. (=

Card Design ChampionWow, WTF is with those votes? We had so many people submit, and yet like the lowest turnout ever for the final poll relative to the number of finalists. I don't think I've ever seen a finalist with literally no votes.
