I've been working on a new hearthstone set for a while now and I encountered a potential keyword in the game that I feel should be addressed. Many tokens in the game read "Do X. Draw a card. Cast this when drawn." It seems to be exclusive to tokens...for now, but I like to think that someday cards in your deck might act like this too. I, therefore, propose a new keyword, Topdeck. Topdeck works in the way mentioned above where when you draw a Topdeck card, the effect triggers, the card is burned, and you draw a new card. I remade some of the cards already in the game with this keyword below to help show the idea a bit better:
I had this thought because of a card I'm considering adding to my own expansion that feels more streamlined with this keyword:
The card would otherwise read, "While this is in your deck, your first minion each turn costs (1) less. Your minions cost (1) more this turn. Draw a card. Cast this when drawn." which is far too long for a Hearthstone card. The card already feels fairly cramped as is.
Anyway, that's just my idea, I know it's not important now since it only applies to tokens currently but in the future, does anyone see this as a viable mechanic?
Love the idea, but I would add "Draw a card." to the Topdeck text. Allows you to not assume it happens, some could be draw two cards, etc. Some keywords are better off as shorthand for events or triggers but not assuming subsequent actions, those are usually best listed explicitly.
I would rather the keyword be Autocast. I don't know about you, but 'Topdeck' for me only refers to the first card drawn naturally at the beginning of a player's turn. If that player draws more cards choosing to find their answer, I don't say "Dammit, they topdecked it" because it wasn't on the top of their deck when the turn started. The word topdeck also has a negative connotation with most players in the game anyway so I wouldn't recommend it as a keyword.

Cool in theory, but the mechanic only appears on uncollectable cards, so I doubt they care very much
