Hi guys! Today i'm super excited to show you my newest expansion- Myths of the Pantheon.
This expansion is inspired by Greek Mythology and is all about the battles, stories, monsters and wonder of this ancient world.
This is a world filled with Monsters and Magic, a world created, shaped and ruled by gods- the gods that will help you in your darkest hours... But only if you will show your complete Devotion in them first.
Themes and Mechanics
*Favours and Gods-
The gods rule this world. They hold in their hands powers that could wipe out full Polises. But the gods, being immortal and extremely powerful, will not come to help meek mortals easily. They have to be devoted to them in their lives and death, and try to earn their favour in any way possible.
Favour can be earned by cards, both Neutral and Class specific. It can be collected from Strong Hoplites that bring glory to their gods, or by doing certain tasks, like helping Hermes with his many deliveries, or joining Artemis on a legendary hunt. Some examples of cards with Favour are:
Once you earn Favour, its yours for the rest of the game, and you can't lose it. Favour count will be marked by Laurel icons near your portrait. Cards that are upgraded when you earn Favour (more on them below) don't need to be in your hand when you earn the Favour. The mechanic acts similar to C'Thun and NOT like Spellstones.
So, why would you bother earn Favour? Well, lets just say that the gods of this expansion are VERY POWERFUL. Let us meet Hades, lord of the underworld:
The gods start off very weak, but as you impress them more and more with your deeds, they start to show intrest in you. And if you are able to fully earn their Favour, they are simply insane. To upgrade a god once 2 Favour is needed, and for the second upgrade 4 more is required, so to fully upgrade a God you need 6 Favour in total. Each class gets its own God as one of its two Legendaries (9 in total). The god of each class is supported thematically and mechanicly by many of the other cards from that class. There are no neutral gods. Each player will get a random god as a log-in gift when the expansion releases.
* Buffs and Targeting- A minor theme. You will see more buffs than usual in Myths of the Pantheon. You will also see minions with the words: "When you target this minion with a spell for the first time..." in their text, giving you a one time bonus when buffed.
* Big minions- The ancient greek world is filled with monsters, and this expansion tried to represent that. There are more big minions than usual, even at lower rarities.
I Guess you want to see some cards now, so without further ado, here are the full collection of cards:

That's it guys! I have had a blast designing the expansion, and I hope you enjoy the cards. Please, tell me what you think in the comments below, and may the Pantheon favour you!
Astonishing. That's the first word that comes to my mind. The whole idea for the story, the Gods and the favours is awesome, and the class cards fit the identity really well. Out of the ~100 cards (no idea how many are there, just guessed), there are only a few which I find slightly unbalanced. Once again, very well done, this thread/expansion should definitely get more attention!
I have always been a fan of Greek mythology. Since there are tons of cards to view, I will do it tomorrow. But I doesn't hinder me to say - you have cool cards, you have hit the nail on the head regarding their flavour and their place in the different classes (Hades - God of Death, warlock, and the ability to rise the souls of the dead.)
One question - how would this card work? If when it's played, then shouldn't there be a battlecry keyword? Or is it at the start of the game? Or something else?
Now I see. I got confused, because I thought, that those 7 Dark Chanters also have to be in your deck, in order for the effect to work. Ok, thx for the clarification.
Love it. Love it, love it, love it. Most of the cards seem pretty balanced, but I do have one issue. Ares makes all your weapons cost zero, but by the time you play him, you probably won't have many weapons in your deck. Also, having a lot of weapons in your deck is never a good idea because most of the time extra weapons are dead in your hand. Also summoning a magma rager is pretty funny, but of course not that amazing. I think you should make it two magma ragers so your opponent has to use aoe and minions to clear both, as mage, druid, warrior, and just about all classes can easily remove magma ragers from play. (I love warrior, and the flavor of these legendaries are great, but I just want to see Ares go toe to toe with the other gods, like hades, whose power level is insane.
Honestly, the whole set seems pretty balanced. It's strange to see this getting so little attention. Maybe add "custom hearthstone expansion" to the title?

I agree, I will think of a way to change them and post it soon :)

You can put as many copies of this card in your decklist as you want.
If at one point during a game you control 7 Dark Chanters, they all die and you recruit 3 Demons.
The card is pretty complicated, but making it an epic is cruel to FTP players because of the amount of copies needed to get good results from it.

Absolutely great work. Love every single class you designed!
Is it right that full upgraded Hestia only can be killed through cards like Twisting Nether and Psychic Scream?
