- The card is designed to have a built-in aoe cap. This card deals 1-4 damage to all minions, as whirlwinds. - The tank up effect is really strong, but it's a deathrattle. I tried to imagine common cases for the card: i.e. : opponent's board full of minions with 1/3 (low cap); imagine a post warlock DK turn. With this, you would gain 3*7 + 3 = 24 armor. Almost broken. But try to figure out other cases.
Ideal case: Opponent's board full of x/4 minions. You gain 7*4 + 4 = 32 armor. Board cleared. Broken. Doesn't happen very often. Against 3 x/3 minions, you gain 3*3 + 3 = 12 armor, and the board is empty (for 6 mana). Happens often (as above). Against a board with 3 minions (x/x, x/x, x/2) minion, you gain 2*3 + 2 = 8 armor as deathrattle , and the board is not cleared (!!). Happens often. Worst case: Opponent's board full of x/x minions , and one 1/1 minion. You only gain 7 armor as deathrattle, 1 minion cleared. May happen with play arounds.
Obviously, most of the time the board is not full, so the effect is 'under' these parameters.
So, the card is supposed to punish thoughtless overcommitment. You can actually play around this card effect (easily too), but if you don't, the effect is broken.
As you can see, the card is not easy to balance. Don't kill me, try to suggest balance tips :). It could be a 3/3 to cut down the potential snowball, for example.
A great counter attack against aggro decks but even useful overall. Like you stated, good against low stat and high stat minions. It could be overpowered but only if there are minions on the field to hit with the Battlecry effect. Without that, the Deathrattle wouldn't be useful. I would use in an anti-aggro deck, but since its only limited to Warrior, chances of using it are a bit slimmer for me. Great card overall. The stats are low so that should balance it out. If it would also have taunt it would be a god card lol.
Wow, in case of full board of big minions (or minions with 4hp) you can get 54 armor..
If the whole board (yours and your opponent's one) is full of x/4 minions...i mean. I think i never saw a board like this in these years. In that case, you clear your board too
I don't think it'd be op. I mean, during hs games i'm trying to imagine how would it be to play this. Most of the time the effect is ruined by opponent's minions and so on; the potential effect is really rare. (At least it has to be setted up)
Here's the thing. There are a lot of OP cards in Hearthstone. It's being able to use them at their full potential that's rare. Yes, I agree it is balanced.
Ye. The most immediate use, after Guldan DK, should be like this: - 2 Voidlords - 5 Voidwalkers
You pay 6 mana and: - You kill the Voidwalkers - Voidlords are 3/6 now - Mur is a 3/1 Deathrattle: gain 24 armor (can be silenced and so on)
Yes you are on the right path there. I hate/love the voidlord. Silencing him is like one of the only ways to end his effect though because it would still activate before even a secret could destroy him right? Or do secrets act first when activated? Talking about your card on the last part, not voidlord.
A better name for the card would probably be Sargeras (that's the name of the character who's art it is). You don't have to change it if you don't want to!

I mean, it would be a nice idea, but the focus was on the effect :)

Key word. IF.

Id imagine Blizzard's balanced text for the card would be:
(Mana Cost= 5)
Battlecry: Deal (2) damage to all minions.
Deathrattle: Gain (1) armor for each damaged minion.
This would leave you with a maximum of 13 armor - 7 enemy minions + 6 on your side (preferably Enrage or Death rattle minions)
