In ancient times, there were a city in the middle of the Gourah Desert called Mhokmenjarlt. Mhokmenjarlt was pretty, rich, full of wisdom and powerful enough to put any enemy on it's knee, except for one: nature. In a day like any other, the skies have suddenly turn red and the air become scarce. From the south a giant sandstorm was coming. Mhokmenjarlt was swallowed down by the Gourah Desert, without a trace. Thousands of years after, explorers found their remains under the ground. They discovered many writings of survivors who stayed buried for a few days. One of them were Rhuymenjarlt, the Monarch. But along with it's writings, a dead corpse was inside a magic tomb. They tried everything to open it and got no success. So they brought a mage, who spelled the magical words written by Rhuymenjarlt. After rise, the monster killed them all, his body was harder than a citadel wall. After that, he wanders through the Gourah Desert, protecting his beloved city and trying to find a way of bringing all of his vassals back to life.
Flavor:
Many find funny the fact that he kills anyone who enters in the desert, even those who have the power to help him.
Summon
:
"The sands are the true enemy!"
Attacking:
"Be gone!"
Death:
"I will join Mhokmenjarlt once and for all."
Countering spell:
"Spells are useless!"
Note: Even if he dies, the next spell will be countered, but without the visual and sound effects.
Comment
:
Rhyumenjart is a control card, good against
combo
planning (because of the Counter, wich cannot be canceled). Besid having a great 12
Taunt
body and a Lifesteal bonus. Good at almost any circumstance.
I was thinking what Quest Warrior is missing in current meta, and I think at least
Taunt
with
Silence
would be good, so I made this. 5 mana is actually quite optimal, because you can fit in
Sulfuras
and a Hero Power after playing this with 10 mana. And I think a lot of other less aggressive decks would want to use it instead of usual
Spellbreaker
...
For this week's competition I thought that Hunter could use some love due to it being absent from the meta right now for the most part. It might be a bit on the strong side, but I figured that since you'd have to live until turn ten to even play him the first time, most opponents would either kill you or be very far ahead by that point.
I imagined Hemet, Master Hunter being used with Kathrena Winterwisp to recruit buffed beasts. Best chance would be hitting both Windfury and +3 attack on a Charged Devilsaur or King Krush for a ton of damage. That would be more of a combo oriented type of Hunter deck, or you could load more high powered beasts into the deck and be able to drop multiple huge threats.
Flavor Text: Nobody tells you the extra side affects of going vegan.
Not many of these have been seen around since the last trogg family reunion.
Because of the
Battlecry
this minion stays unusable for an extra turn (you can attack with it on turn 5 if played on curve). However, the adaption triggers regardless so
Taunt
would be a good first choice if board interaction is what you need. Even without it, it's probably not a good idea to let this minion thrive for long.
Control Paladin has lacked a good win condition for some time now so i figured why not give them a bone? Most of the time you're going to be shooting for
Tirion Fordring
but if need be it can
summon
another card like
Wickerflame Burnbristle
.

The trick is of course to pick a spell that does damage:
2 in 1:
Tokens: Pit Snake and Young Dragonhawk .
A tol'vir priest of the sun which is being corrupted by the whispers of the Old Gods.

Battlecry sound: *Roar*
Battlecry sound tokens: "Don't let him get away!"
Attack: combination of that eerie spider/scorpion sound used in movies and a lions roar
Death: sad lion roar

Support for a controlling Dragon Paladin to go alongside Dragon Consort .
