I am currently working on two expansions- a time themed set and a greek themed one. Today I want to share with you guys a mechanic from my Greek set, and I want to hear your opinion about it.
The mechanic is called Favour. As an aspiring champion, you try to do heroic deeds and go on great quests. The gods watch every step you take, and if you impress them enough, perhaps they will save you in your time of need.
There will be many cards in the greek expansion that will earn you favour. Some will do that as an enter the battlefield trigger, and some will do that if you do a certain thing. when you earn favour, its yours for the game, and the number of favours you earned will be marked near your hero portait, with a laurel symbol. here are some cards that can earn you favour
So, what is favour is for, you ask? Meet Hades, god of the underworld:
Hades starts off very weak, but if you earn his favour he could make your opponents life, well, HELL.
The 9 gods of this expansion (1 for each class) gets upgraded when you earn enough favour. It doesnt matter if they are In your hand or deck. They will become stronger. Also note that the gods need six Favour to transform all the way- 2 for the first upgrad and 4 for the second.
The gods should all be amazingly powerful in their final form, but you need to build your deck around them, kind of like a C'Thunstrategy. Because they are an important part of the expansion gameplay, every player gets a random god for free when he logs in.
Also, meet Artemis, goddess of the hunt:
I need to know what you guys think about the Favour mechanic before I continue working on the expansion. Do you think a build around mechanic like that is something you want to see in game? Also, do you think more cards should be upgraded with Favour, other than the gods? And lastly, what do you think about the example cards I came up with? I would love to hear your perspective.

It feels very similar to the upgrade mechanic that each class got like for the spellstones, but in the form of a minion. I have nothing useful to say, but wow great work.
Wow, this is really cool! The only thing I could say is that Hades is a tad bit weak (I would compare it toDeathwing who sees no high rank play) since Deathrattles are not extremely popular at the moment. I know that Deathwing discards your hand but it is a 12/12 and it does not require you to include Favour cards. I think Artemis is perfectly balanced.

The mechanic was inspired by the Spellstone mechanic :P I hope I can make them feel diffrent enough.

I will change Hades. I was toying around with him somehow keeping the souls of the minions he kills, so perhaps I would go in that direction. Maybe I will just increase his stats though.

Being from Greece myself, I love the concept and the design. However, I think that your Gods are way OP. Balance them up a bit and you will be spot on.
The cards are way too OP. Artemis is basically "if your opponet do not have taunt and have less than 19 life you won".
Also, the Hades - what if the Deathrattle is "Draw a card" - you will overdraw? A bit clunky. Getting 6 favors look quite easy.
You have to save the favors for when you have one of the gods in your hand which, in my opinion, makes it perfectly balanced if not a little weak.
Actually the original description says "when you earn favour, its yours for the game, and the number of favours you earned will be marked near your hero portait, with a laurel symbol" so no, you do not need the gods in your hand.
