The weekly card competitions are a good way to get the same kind of feeling with less time investment.  They're a good way to learn design too which will in turn make you better at the larger competitions (in theory)  

 I've read several of them, thanks, but it's not a matter of improving or not. (I know my submission was pretty bad in the end though)

I really don't have time. I mean, I've been reading hearthstone news on this site for like 2 years? But I've never found the time (or the motivation) to post. This winter I found myself pretty bored by hearthstone (and games in general), so I thought to use the time I would normally spend on the game in a different way. Since I've now renewed my will to play, I guess I won't have time for this site anymore until I get bored again (and that's going to take some time and several games). Thanks for the help though.

After some thought, I realized I need to slightly change my hero power (starting next phase) due to cards like Elise the Trailblazer and Marin the Fox.

By class spell I mean any class spell. If you get a Fireball somehow as a Scribe the hero power will still work with it. However neutral or unplayable classes (Death Knight) spells like Un'Goro Pack cannot be generated by the hero power. Do you think this is clear enough?

Edit: I also have no idea why the new version has smaller card name text. I'll fix it later haha.

Just seems worryingly strong as you can Un'Goro Pack then hero power to get your pack back, repeating for essentially infinite cards. It would be a menace with Death and Decay or Ysera Awakens. I guess all things considered there are far worse things out there so why not!

So, update. I started college today, and it has long days (I left shortly after 8:00 AM and I got home at about 5:30 PM). So, I definitely will have less time to compete in these, but I'm not dropping out because I'm absolutely positive I can still do this and I'm only going there on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I'll still have plenty of time to come here.

But you still have to pay extra 4 mana for each cast (hero power + the increase). I think its perfectly fine.

I've finished my classic set already (will change/move/scrap cards depending on challenges) if anyones interested in taking a look!

• Artist by Phoenixfeather (#39) - This class is made by chickens.
• Broeck1's Illusionist (#6) - It's got an interesting, although a little on the complex side, hero power along with synergistic ideas flavor and balancewise. In addition, I really enjoyed reading the interesting clandestine activities done behind the scenes of the CCC... Although... I'll be sure to keep an eye out for any vote manipulation. (Yes, I'm looking at you Heinibrother!)
• Heinibrother's Spy (#45) - Which brings us to our next class. Oh gods do I love this. Despite a lack of flair, I love the concept of using cheap and petty tactics to win. Unknown Messenger to figure out your opponent's archetype, Destined for deathrattle synergy, and Anarchy, to -well- be annoying, are all awesome cards (imo). Trading to draw cards... draw cards. draw cards...
• Toxovent's Scribbler (#46) - Well... other than the fact that you drew every single card... And that the ONLY thing I dislike is the powercreep on Paper Ninja... Yeah... Well done. You shouldn't have bullied Deathwing that much though. You should have tried to befriend him. Or in the case of the next class, do a little more than befriend... try dinner.
• Mewdrops's Harbinger (#17) - It hard to ask from more power than through these cards. Oracle's Prophesy is an interesting way to receive card draw. It's got a balanced 10-drop (unlike a lot of sets), and... It just feels super destructive and powerful. And the anime art? Well anime is generally awesome... So yeah.

Same here. RIP my classic set. I even did the Old Gods set. And the Karazhan cards. And the Un'Goro cards. And the Knights cards. And the Kobolds cards. 

Opinion: Phase I and II should've been merged together; or at least, we should only have to show the basic set in conjunction with the classic set, as you can't forge a consistent class identity without the classic set cards and keywords/mechanics available. Imagine how shitty Hearthstone would be if all the classes only had their basic sets??
