My favourite from this season is Treason, Then which I would love to play in a rouge deck, and it would make for a good AOE.
Other great cards Leech Archer, and Selective Harvest but I have a little problem seeing how it works with Fandral Staghelm.
With Selective Harvest, Fandral would cause you to draw and discard your deck. Obviously not something you ever would want to do but its also something that is 100% in your control so you can simply choose not to do it. It's definitely not ideal, but I still felt the card was worth submitting since this downside is easily avoidable and can't be used to screw over your opponent. There are lots of combos that already exist in the game that can really screw you over if you make the mistake of playing them. (E.g., Unlicensed Apothecary and Forbidden Ritual)
@cheese the reason it costs 3 mana and has the cost reduction is actually because of Fandral. Original version of the card was 2 mana and just gave a choice of "keep it" or "discard and redraw." But I was concerned that Fandral trying to "keep" and "discard" the same card would break the game. By increasing the cost by 1 and then refunding it back, Fandral is a horrible combo with Selective Harvest but at least he doesn't break the game's logic.
I'm not expecting to do terribly well in the finals but I was happy to finally get my first win with the card. Thanks to everyone who voted for it in either round.
Not really incredible. Leeching Poison is a WoW Rogue talent which does exactly what both cards do.
Also I only voted for myself anyway.
Isn't voting for yourself, like, the most pathetic thing you can do?
I didn't really read any rules on it, but I'd imagine even if it isn't forbidden noone would do it out of courtesy.
Not voting for yourself is the most pathetic way to potentially lose. It's happened.
I don't see how it's pathetic to lose just because you'd rather vote for the exceptionally good entries instead of voting for yourself because you happen to gain immense satisfaction from winning.
We've actually changed winners in the past because someone lost by one vote and hadn't voted for himself. Right or wrong, voting for yourself is standard practice. I think/hope most people also vote for other cards as well.

You can do both? You don't have to just vote for yourself. This idea that it's wrong to vote for yourself is just silly. It's clearly in your interest to do so, especially since it has no effect on your ability to vote for the cards you think are best, because there's no mutual exclusivity in voting. It's basically a given everyone will get one vote, since you can vote for yourself, so if you choose not to, you're handicapping yourself in a really stupid way.
If my card is at the finals I vote for it and other cards, like 4 more cards. Because I remember losing one because for one vote and I didn't vote for myself. That was hard as a newbie.
The only time I didn't voted for myself was at the Custom Expansion Finals and the extra WCDC about my Expansion's Theme. I really wanted that one to be the community who chooses their favourite.
How Mind Flay would work with the actual fatigue damage? It increases the Fatigue counter?
Let's say the minion attacks 2 times, that means 1 damage and 2 damage, when your opponent reach fatigue will it take 3 damage and if the minion attacks again will take 4 damage and so on?

I voted for myself in the Class Finals. I really wanted to win.
Stealing a Kazakus potion from a priest would be downright hilarious. Stealing Tirions from Stonehill defender players (particularly Paladins) would be amazing. It works well against Murloc Paladin, Quest mage, (Primordial glyph) Deathstalker Rexxar, and tons more.
Its good against mage, warlock, priest, paladin, taunt warrior, but bad against everything else. (Tempo rogue, Shaman, and Druid, very popular classes, don't really run discover. This is a dead card against them.) It is a balanced card because its matches are so lopsided.
I feel like it is extremely hard to play around cards that have been discovered, and this gives you a chance. I would never run 2 though. 1 will grab you enough wins, but two is excessive. Really good sideboard card if sideboarding was a thing.

Thx, was my thoughts, just wanted to be sure. And those suicide combos can be fun. I still remember the first time I did the Auchenai Soulpriest and Mistress of Pain combo to accidentally kill myself back in GvG. Damm was I confused about the interaction at first .
Calling it: Tourist Trap will win by a fucking large margin. High Horse second. Selective Harvest third. Everybody else waaaay behind.
I think you're right, except for High Horse :P Noone besides Zukuu even mentioned it. But I appreciate it. I think Mind Flay is a good candidate to take the price as well - not my favourite card, as I think it's too abuseable, but still a cool effect.
I really like Mutanus the Devourer. Comparing it to Justicar Trueheart, I see it has backwards stats, one less mana, but it has an obvious drawback of not allowing you duplicates, and it seems very inconsistent as it can give you some bad hero powers(like death tap), and it can also give you some very powerful ones, like soul tap, which is clearly better than the Justicar version of the warlock hero power. I'm not sure if warlock is the right class to receive a card like this, but nonetheless, it would be a really fun card to play in arena.
I can't believe no one sees a balance issue with Selective Harvest. It's literally Computer Search. You can actually just search your deck for any card you want AND gain information about what's left in your deck as a bonus.
Custom cards :
CLASSES : Alchemist (CCC#5 | Phase V) | Chef (CCC#4)
EXPANSIONS : Year of the Scorpion (Year Comp)

They were all pretty good and I mean it. But in the end:
I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
I voted for Tourist trap.

I think I know what I'm talking about.
I vote for Ironsight Rifle, it seems like such a cool concept to me.
Murlocs FTW!!!!
