Any advice is appreciated. You would think that you would be unable to play anything the turn after you play this, but thanks to Snowfury Giant, you can follow this up with another strong turn.
What would happen if you're already Overloaded for 1, then you play this? You'd be Overloaded for 3, then 5, then 7, then 9, then 11... and because you skipped 10, you'd loop this over and over until you reach the hard-coded limit. I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty certain it's possible to Overload yourself for more than 10.
I don't think anyone would really assume the card would work like that and it wouldn't be hardcoded to work that way, however any possible misunderstanding is rectified by a simple wording change to "you've/you have Overloaded for 10", as in past-tense. It would automatically include any overload numbers over 10 since you "have" already overloaded for 10.
I think Toble pointed out the main "problem" of this card. The card is worded like this only to fulfill the needs of this weeks rules, it will always kill off your opponents entire board no matter what (mby if Inner Fire priest had a gigantic minion and was toying with u it wouldnt xaxa :P), so any additional problems with the card r kinda irrelevant, cause the design of the card is fundamentally flawed.
Better think of something new TheGentleman99, u still have 2 hours ;-)
I'm frankly not interested in that line of thinking, no offense. The nature of this contest is to think up a design within the context of a prompt, and that will inevitably lead to occasional designs that could probably be replicated more or less intact without the prompt. Hell, take my entry for example.
I think it's very distinct for this theme and I came up with it for it, but had I really wanted to make a recurring quest I could easily come up with a different way to make it, including to fit an entirely different prompt. Remember that theme where an effect had to last until the end of the game? How about this:
Dead Magic: "For this game, every time you cast 5 spells, Discover a non-Legendary spell that you have cast this game. Cast it."
Easy. Boom. Completely different prompt, exact same effect.
It doesn't matter if his card could be reworded differently. What matters is does it take on a fitting identity in this competition. The only reason it might not is because you're basically guaranteed 10-15 damage. With tuning to the design, that might not be true. So its worth addressing the card's other problems. It's also worth noting that in a different meta, this same design might in fact be better; if it WERE likely to have more than 6 Overloaded already due to high-overload cards being in circulation, then this card would fit the theme better.
I take your point. I just didnt want to keep the conversation fixated on this card, since i doubt there is any way he can salvage it (and frankly similar cards were done already iirc) and there is not that much time to come up with a new idea ;-)
I'm going to vote for the person with the lowest "number of words" to complexity ratio. for the finalists. What's the term the troll RazorOfArtorias used again?
Oh gods.... There are a few problems with this card.... okay more than a few
The words "Cast this again" seem completely unnecessary. Why doesn't it simply say "Destroy all enemy minions Overload: (10)"? It's much more fluid, and the words seem almost forced to fit the theme rather than the other way around.
Well, it's unbalanced and doesn't feel like a shaman card. I don't think shamans are supposed to have any DOOM!s.
What if you've already Overload: (1) previously this turn? (Due to cost reductions) If this happens, this will trigger 14 times... Which is unnecessary in the first place.
Simplicity is important for this theme...
Just sayin', I love cards that have a great amount of complexity, yet very little text. For example, Whirlwind or Coldlight Oracle.

FYI, you CANNOT use the words "cast it again" instead of "cast this again". I've asked ourlordandsavior ShadowsOfNonsense already.
"KISS = Keep it simple, stupid!" is the term Razor was using. It's a popular game design term; Razor would obviously know it because he works for a game company :D.
Simplicity is a key aspect of game design after all.
Since Explosion! was absolutely destroyed by everyone (just kidding, I appreciate the feedback), I have decided to scrap it and try something else. To be honest I'm struggling with this design topic. Unsure about mana cost and text specifics, but I feel like this one has potential. SO, once again, I present it to the masses for feedback (be gentle). :p

Well...unfortunately...the Submission has been locked, as it usually does Monday afternoon :/
@SilentSecond must have just gotten in under the wire.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3

As linkblade13 mentioned, the submission topic is already locked, so you're too late. It locks every Monday.
It's a nice support card for Quest Hunter, but a) because it doesn't say "random" you're just gonna give the same minion Stealth again and again because you target the same minion with repeated effects (See Brann Bronzebeard), and b) it's stricly worse than Conceal.

First, as I have said, I know that the competition is closed, but I want to spruce up the card before I add it to my personal library. Secondly, I just realized that I forgot to add the "choose" wording to the beginning, so thank you. You are supposed to choose the minion that gets stealth. As for the Conceal bit, yes, it is weaker. But then again, Conceal, was too strong and had to be rotated out. This is like a more balanced Conceal for hunters. Maybe I should reduce the cost of this to 1?

The problem with "cast this again" many ppl had this week is, that they didnt realize how many situations wouldnt work with their card, cause of the spells that require a target. What happens on re-cast? Would the spell fizzle out if target died from the first cast? Would the games mechanics even allowed for such interaction? Would it just bug out? All existing cards that cast a random spell (that means including targetable spells obviously) have "targets chosen randomly" in their card text for this exact reason. The "cast this again" on your card can be basically seen as "cast a random spell", where Hunted is the randomly selected spell ... u have no control over the target of the spell at this point, but since the spell cannot target anything by itself, what would happen?
Your card could be easilly adjusted by sayin "Give a randomfriendly minion ...", but the problem is, that there is no space on the card to actually fit another word in there. Thats the most common issue in card design, when ur trying to make something and u cant fit it in 4 lines of text, that is a clear indication that whatever ur trying to do is overly complicated and should be simplified/reworked.

Also the art is not very good.
Fine, I admit defeat. I guess this just wasn't my week for card design. Thanks anyway for the feedback, no matter how brutally honest it was (my poor ego). :P BTW I liked the card art, but I guess it didn't translate well into a card. Welp, hopefully I'll fair better in the next one.

The card could actually be pretty cool as a 1-cost spell that gives the same minion stealth turn after turn instead, I.E. (if it is a 1-cost minion, cast this again next turn). I also like that art. It's been one of my favorites off deviantART for years.
