While I don't think that Mage needs more mass board clears, this would be such a fun card to shut down certain decks (e.g. murloc paladin, basically all shamans and warlocks, and aggro druids). The aftershock is basically a soft doomsayer that clears all minions below 5 health.

Please stop with goddamn boardclears. Especially ridiculous ones. Seriously, soft doomsayer? You can't kill or disable this "aftershock", unlike doomsayer. Card just reads "i win" in 99% situations.
Corrupting mist introduced this unstoppable kill mechanic into the game. This card would just bring the concept pro.
Ah, no. Corrupting mist is partly an untargetable doomsayer, however you can still play minions on your side of the board, which won't die, because they won't get the corruption debuff. One more thing to mention, is that the corruption doesn't resolve immediately - you have to wait a whole turn to kill the enemy minions. So, no, you can't compare mist with your card.
edit: i like the flavour of your card and also the art (a star explosion), but it's really too powerful
the card is too good, but i dont think for the reasons OP stated. Against those decks this card is to slow, if ur not dead by turn 8 against aggro u probobly won, and few times does this save u where à flamestrike ond turn earlier wouldnt. Many of those decks dont have many Cards left in hand by turn 7-8 so the aftershock wouldnt do much,

This seems like it would be better in another class
Shaman with Overload 3 would be more balanced.

Corrupting mist doesn't affect the board on a turn it's played. And it doesn't affect anything played after. See the difference?
