So there is my idea: a mechanic to improve some cards with interesting effects but with a RNG-spread too big (inspired by the difference between Volcano and Spreading Madness).
Here is, for instance, a list of card changes suggestions based on that very idea: http://imgur.com/a/rfRaV
EDIT: if the word unit bothers you, imagine there is target instead ;)
Giving Misdirection priority to enemies means that your hero or minions would never get hit unless the opponent has no minions and triggers the secret with their face.

Yep, that was the idea. Might not be balanced though, so perfect for Blizzard :D
Great idea. The reason I like it is it makes rng more controled.
Imo all 4 wording are approximatly the same clarity but I voted no 1.
Some cards will need extra balancing if it gets implemented because they would become OP.
Also for some of them I think it's better not to do it. Like Barnes would be abused so much to get ragnaros or malygos. if you only put 1 legendary outside of barnes you can guarantee it :s
Well at least that would be more cool then pirate warriors everywhere so +1 for abusable barnes. Make miracle great again xD
I think I prefer your idea over a stale meta anyway. So I'm definitly for even if it breaks some cards. Ideally the game would be patched at a faster speed. We shouldn't assume it is patched every 3 to 6 months

Barnes was suggested by a friend, because it fits very well flavor-wise. Ragnaros rotating out would balance it a bit, but I didn't think of Malygos, you're right. My bad ^^
Good idea. But why is it limited to random effects? You can also have normal damage/buff/transform effects that simply can only be used on the priority target if one is present. Like you must attack a taunt creature.
Priority: Targets only priority characters until none are available
And HS-terms are to my knowledge minions ( Mind Control ), heroes ( Mind Blast ) , enemies ( Arcane Missiles ), characters ( Spreading Madness )or no specific target ( Fireball ). "Unit" seems not fitting to the other cards (which doesn't necessarily mean much

Well, spell taunt is an old idea that never got implemented, but yes, there could indeed be extensions of the keyword with effects like a minion's battlecry being "add/override [next] enemy's spell[s] priority with priority to this minion".
The initial word I picked was target, but then that word appeared twice, so I removed it for aesthetic reasons. Thinking back about it, it might have been a bad idea :/

Horkinger's suggestion:
Hmmm, I tested one edition and ended up with a bad OP. So I will repost. Can a moderator delete this thread ? (or allow me to edit the initial post)EDIT: its fine now.

It would be a Kind of spell taunt, but defined by the spell and not by
another minionthe target. For exampleflameball
deal 6 damage
priority: stealth
or double the restriction
priority: murloc or Charge
There are countless possibilities how you could restrict the Card via such a keyword. That's why I like your idea.
True :)
