Your card's artwork must clearly depict either an Elf or a Dwarf as its central figure.
Your card must produce or positively interact with Weapons or Armor.
We have whittled down ~140 valid entries to just 16 of the community's favorites. Check out all the finalists below and vote in our poll (vote for as many or as few as you like) to help decide the winner and be sure to check back after the poll finishes for the announcement of the winner and the start of a new theme!

I'm pretty disappointed this week...a lot of the cards are really unoriginal or overpowered. Magni Bronzebeard even made it, and there's a Hero with the EXACT same name (Magni Bronzebeard). Could've at least given him a different title, like they did with Deathwing, Dragonlord.
Reload - 3/5: Simple, but effective. Not much more to say.
Darnassus Soothsayer - 4/5: Creative. I don't know about viable, since Druid has a hard time gaining a lot of Armor. But its probably fun.
Daedorn Cinderbeard - 1/5: Not creative at all, pretty much a Kazakus rip off. Not only that, he's overpowered as crap. Kazakus has -3 stats from vanilla, and has the no dupes condition. This has -2 stats from vanilla, has no condition, and only costs (1) more overall.
Weapons Smuggler - 5/5: Some pretty cool interactions here. Some worth noting are Spirit Claws, Gorehowl, and of course, Cursed Blade. I like the way it makes your Hero Power better, but not necessarily better.
Hokut, the Forge King - 4/5: A pretty hefty price, but could be game-winning. I also like how you can disrupt it.
Dwarven Defender - 2/5:Thing from Below. Although it's not exactly the same thing, being notably smaller, I really don't like things that can cost (0). Nice try though.
Backstreet Barber - 3.5/5: Again, costing (0) is problematic, but the condition is a lot harder to fulfill. Reminds me of the old Molten Giant, but as a standalone card. +0.5 for the Handlock flashback.
Ural the Grey - 1/5: I can see this being extremely overpowered. You're guaranteed at least a Fiery War Axe worth of value from Lok'Thar, and Ural the Grey has a vanilla 4 mana body with the most annoying effect in the game. I would put this around Dr. Boom's level of power.
Metal Merchant - 1/5: No more coins for Rogue please. I hate seeing twenty minute long turns. It would probably be fine if Gadgetzan Auctioneer wasn't a thing. It would probably be fine if it was a battlecry, so it would only ever grant one coin.
Grimestreet Sentinel - 4/5: I really like cards that emphasize hand-buff in ways other than raw stats. I also named the gun, so creds to me :D
Forge Trap - 5/5: I honestly thought this through pretty hard. It can be teched against (Rogue Hero Power, Cursed Blade, other small weapons, Acidic Swamp Ooze). Similar to Mirror Entity, it costs (2) because not every class has full access to weapons (Medivh, the Guardian is a thing though).
Ranger-General Sylvanas - 2/5: It's a bit too complicated for my liking, since it's composed of three cards with text. The only thing remotely close to that is Kazakus. Also, while Hunter does need a buff, I think this is falling into the Shaman trap.
Ah, I gtg. I'll finish this later. Alright, back to it!
Aurae Moonblade - 1/5: Stealth minions should not be able to accomplish anything without leaving stealth. This essentially grants infinite value if your opponent doesn't dump AoE on it. Imagine if something like Gadgetzan Auctioneer had PERMANENT stealth. Yeah, it would be broken.
Magni Bronzebeard - 0/5: Oh boy. For only 3 mana, you get a 2/6 (already over par), the equivalent of a full heal, an upgraded Hero Power, and enough Shield Slam ammunition to kill The Ancient One. Plus, the name and art are exactly reused from the actual Magni Bronzebeard. I struggle to see how this made finals.
Muradin Bronzebeard - 2.5/5: This feels really forced. It's balanced, but I don't feel like interacting specifically with Fatigue should be in the Warrior class. We already have Violet Illusionist if you want anti-fatigue.
Ranger General Sylvanas - 2/5: It's a bit too complicated for my liking, since it's composed of three cards with text. The only thing remotely close to that is Kazakus. Also, while Hunter does need a buff, I think this is falling into the Shaman trap.
I totally agree that my entry is mad complicated. Another good comparison is Elise Starseeker... I actually had a much simpler entry in mind (see below spoiler if you're curious, stats were TBD) but I decided to go with the hunter version simply because I love me some hunter. But yeah totes agree. ;D
I have to say, trying to make my own "Craftable" card was a lot harder than I expected it to be, especially balancing ALL the costs and effects and finding a way to present the choices in a grokkable format. It may not be perfectly balanced to live, but I'm just glad people enjoyed the direction I took with it.
Wowowowow, made it to the finals :) Well done, and good luck to all the finalists.
Just a quick note about my cards (Darnassus Soothsayer) that you may have not thought about- even if you Hero Power for 1 Armor, you can still save your minions from one attack, so you don't need masses of Armor to make it good.
The fact Magni Bronzebeard made it in here disturbs me. He is mind boggling broken. One of the most unbalanced cards I've ever seen on this forum and he made it to the finals.
First off, he's magnitudes better than Reno Jackson. He effectively sets your health to 31 and since 30 of that is armor you become immune to Alexstrasza, can use her on yourself to get to 45 health, and get super powerful Shield Slams. Not only that but the effect doesn't even have the no Duplicates requirement. So if that wasn't broken enough it then gives you a similar effect to Justicar Trueheart on top of everything else so once you fully heal you can then heal even more. He also comes out earlier than both Reno and Justicar. Now surely given his effect is mind bogglingly OP it comes at a massive state loss? Well as it turns out no. It comes at no stat loss. In fact he has the stats of a 4 drop with that effect.
Just makes me worry a little seeing a card like that make it into the finals.
Oh man it happened again... I was on the same page as three of the finalists were... sigh.
Still that aside, there are some really nice entries this week. I just wish we heard the announce for the expansion sooner. It may have helped to create some more unique ideas based on that new keyword.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My Entry for this week's Card Design Competition - Season 8.16:
It's true that there aren't many ways Luna can be used right now but it might in the future (or in wild) if Blizzard ever decides to print good weapons/weapon buff for rogues. Right now I can think of a 8-mana, 4 card, 15 damage combo with Luna, Shadowstep and 2xDeadly Poison.
Also even without synergy, a plain 3/2 Pirate with charge can't be bad for rogues.
Reload, Darnassus Soothsayer, Weapons Smuggler, Hokut, Dwarven Defender, Metal Merchant and Grimestreet Sentinel are all cool cards I'd vote for if I weren't among the finalists as well (with Reload and Soothsayer being above the others).

Oh, so you're one of those... xD I still voted everything that I rated 4 or higher just because I don't want the worst designs to win.
And the issue with the Luna combo is that the Leeroy combo is 7 mana, 3 card, 14 damage combo (with Cold Bloods). The concept is cool, but in practice, not so much...sorry.
Grats all for the making the finals, page 1 was pretty frothy alright, Zense :)
I actually like quite a few of the entries:
"Reload" by Mewdrops "Darnassus Soothsayer" by JaffaCakeJam "Weapons Smuggler" by AngryChicken "Dwarven Defender" by larvashu "Backstreet Barber" by Zanywoop "Luna Moonsail" by CheeseEatingSurrenderMonkey
I agree with everyone on Reload@Mewdrops being succinct, really spot on, but I'm drawn to Darnassus Soothsayer@Jaffacakejam as my fav. Something nice about the hero being able to gain Taunt on inspire/spell. I think it could make for some interesting choices/gameplay.
@Dxiled ''Metal Merchant - 1/5: No more coins for Rogue please. I hate seeing twenty minute long turns. It would probably be fine if Gadgetzan Auctioneer wasn't a thing.''
Heyheyhey, what the hell!? :D 1/5? That's some kind of low blow Mr. Just based on your bias Tomb Pillager is out of next standard btw. Either way it's not 1/5 in any book. It's not even my favorite card that I created this week, but it's a fair design for mechanic/theme/stats :/. Boooo I say! :P (EDIT OOhhh, I see, just cuz I beat you on page 1 dxiled, you'll pay for this!*shakes fist* :D)
I voted for Reload for the design (but hate the broken up text) and for the potential absurdity that a card with a Human on it wins the Elves vs Dwarves contest ;)

Wellllll I also had a question about your card.
I totally get that you wanted to help Rogue with it (which is why it is where it is), and the flavor is spot on.... But why did you make it a Rogue minion instead of neutral? Not only would it have fit the flavor of the card more, but also added versatility to other classes. Felt a bit weird seeing it singling out Valeera
I didn't considered it as a neutral at all, but you're completely right it would've suited it better. It would be a nice arena option for 5 classes, vague possibility of viablility in a Yog/spell Shaman/warrior? darn, *sniff* I shall never again look upon it in the same way ;D

hahah! That's the cool thing about this, we get good feedback and learn for next time. Wow is that corny or what. :P

I swear, I thought it was an elf. I even asked in the discussion topic but nobody said anything.

Woo!
before I even look at these I wanna congratulate Dxiled for making it to finals with me and Hereharehare!
The first page was so intense! Here was always ahead but me and Dxiled were really close the entire competition.
I'm glad the mods brought all three of us over :D
I'm so used to being on pages not visited as frequently so seeing that many likes was incredible, ty
I really think mewdrops deserves this one. Simple, elegant and flavorful. Maybe it should cost 4, maybe it's fine as is - it's great nonetheless.
Excited to make it to my first finals!! :) just happy to make it this far, I'm in good company with these entries. c:
My favs: Reload, Backstreet Barber (might be too good but I love the idea) and Grimstreet Sentinel.
"The Slayer" custom class
"The Great Thaw" expansion competition finalist
Definitely Reload. Is that art actually an Elf, though?
