An example of a card that would not fit the theme might be Sir Finley Mrrgglton, because he permanently replaces your Hero Power.
Inspire effects generally do not meet the requirements, as they benefit from but do not change your Hero Power
We have whittled down ~122 valid entries to just 12 of the community's favorites. Wow, thanks for the wild card, Mod or theme creator Asylum! First time!
I'd like to say that I came up with basically the same idea as Vilegloom independently. No one realized the similarity until after I submitted, unfortunately. I chose to make my card Jade Lotus, because people expressed reservations about giving my card to Mage. There is also a OTK with Priest using Aspiring Alchemist. If you've used Raza the Chained, you need Auctionmaster Beardo out plus Embrace the Shadow, Auchenai Soulpriest, or Shadowform. Then you just keep using your Hero Power to do infinite damage. I purposefully avoided this combo, plus the stuff with Flamewaker and Archmage Antonidas, by giving it to Jade.
Quite a week! Normally we don't do this, but I'd like to get into some detail about why I chose the Wild Card that I did. I thought the effect of Jade Spiritualist was interesting, and if it simply hadn't made the cut I might not have given it too much thought, but then I noticed that Aspiring Alchemist did make the cut, which had a similar effect but was available to classes for which it would prove much more problematic and for which I know Jade Spiritualist specifically avoided for the sake of balance. That being the case, while I think Aspiring Alchemist is certainly very cool and very well themed, especially how it expands upon the Kabal's potion theme, I just wonder if the folks who liked it would consider Jade Spiritualist as a more balanced alternative.
EDIT: Oh, looks like nurgling beat me to it, haha. Anyway, I can't get into too much more detail right now since my lunch break is about to be over, but this week I voted for Spore Trap, Undaunted Spirit, Patient Sniper, Tanglewood Horror, Wild Engineer, Knifey Wifey, Sageri Soulpriest, and Jade Spiritualist.
Dang, this is what I get for posting on the same page as Spore Trap...
Anyways, my votes go to Spore Trap and Tanglewood Horror because they troll the opponent's Hero Power directly, which is something that I wanted to go for with my card. No matter how creative beneficial effects are, they're no match for real counterplay, which is something that Hearthstone lacks.
EDIT: Vilegloom, if you see this, can you send me the art for your Aspiring Alchemist? It's really hard to find good art for my CCC Class.
Well three of the cards that are here were on the same page as me... though that said they all have got my vote for this final vote, as well as a few of the others.

My Entry for this week's Card Design Competition - Season 8.16:
What flavor does it have? The name to the art? It has no correlation to its effect at all. Murladin is normally a reference to murloc paladin decks, Gillidan would have been better. Yeah, I'm a little bitter I lost to a lazy murloc design. Throw those stats and that effect on any other art and it gets 1/4 votes.
I honestly thought my card had a unique effect and tried to tell a story. The doctor advertises being "affordable" (low cost) considering the high quality services (stats) he boasts. But it was too good to be true and now he is under investigation for negligence and malpractice and so his license is suspended, (so he can't use Lesser Heal on any patients), pending the findings of the investigation. But yeah Murladin is oozing with flavor.
I voted Tanglewood since that actually had flavor between the name, art, effect and association with Druid.
Want to give a shout out to Dracossack's card, but it just doesn't come together without the flavour text. Still a good effect, but it's just missing that little kick over the line, bring it all together.
I personally thought SWGolgoth's Tanglewood Horror was the most unique take on this week's theme. I also really appreciate Xiaxiangde and benneton's design.

Or Illifin.
I was kind of mad that I lost to that too, but it was just Spore Trap being on my page that did it.
Also, last week, a card I made early in the discussion thread was very close to a card submitted by another player before I had submitted one and it made it to the finals. I guess I need to make a bigger fuss next time.

Thanks at least for appreciating the reference ^_^ that's all I wanted this week haha

Silvermoon Spirit Healer seems like a fun Priest card, quite similar to Onyx Bishop, but as the effect can be used again, high priority target to kill. So it costing 6 mana in total to use the effect seems fair, and otherwise you have a 4 mana 3/5 which is decent.
I like the effect of jade Spiritualist a lot and it seems better balanced than Aspiring Alchemist. Very cool design :)

Wow so many good choices this round. Not sure if I should vote for all the ones I like or just a few so they have a better chance of winning.
I'm voting Tanglewood Horror and Aspiring Alchemist
You can't stop the signal.

Should you craft/disenchant (Golden) Sylvanas or Ragnaros?
