This week's Card Design Competition Theme comes from nobravery, whose Conscription was the winner of our "Rage Rebound" competition.
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
Design a card. The card you designed, together with other existing cards, could form a combo that could deal lethal damage to your opponent when they're at 30 health (OTK). You can use Emperor Thaurissan to reduce the cost of the cards necessary for the combo, but always assume that Emperor Thaurissanonly stays alive for one turn. Coins are not allowed for the combo.
You should also provide the other cards that make up the combo in your submission.
As always, you may not delete any posts you make in this Submission Topic. Message one of the Fan Creation moderators if you've posted here in error or otherwise would like your post removed.
Remember that, although HearthCards is awesome, you must host your card somewhere other than Hearthcards, such asImgur or Photobucket.
General Competition Rules
These are the rules that remain consistent from competition to competition.
First, these are the rules about Posting:
You are allowed to submit only one entry. An entry normally consists of only one collectible card, plus any necessary additional material or commentary (explained below).
You are allowed to post in this Submission Topic only once, only to submit your one entry.
You may not delete ANY posts you make in this Submission Topic, not even accidental ones you may make over your one allowed, such as by double-posting or by accidentally posting something here that you meant for the Discussion Topic. If you do accidentally post more than once, inform any of the Fan Creation Forum moderators via PM, and we will handle it.
Speaking of the Discussion Topic, that is where any discussion of this competition should go. This thread is for submissions only. If you want to discuss your card or ask questions about the competition rules or process, you can find a link to the Discussion Topic at the top of this thread. Plenty of folks there will be happy to help you out.
Once you have submitted your one entry, you are allowed to make only minor changes to it. Minor changes are things like correcting typos or making balance changes that do not alter the spirit of your entry as determined by we the moderators. If you want to make any changes and have any doubts as to their legality, ask us first.
These are the rules about your Submission:
Accompanying the image of your card, you may offer some minimal additional commentary to explain its design, balance, and/or other qualities. Flavor text is also welcome.
You may not submit any Gold cards or animated cards. (It's just a cheap attention grab tactic that makes it unnecessarily difficult to determine what class your card is for.)
Your entry must be a card of your own creation. We've been doing this for a while, so if you blatantly rip off somebody else's idea, we will know.
Remember that, although HearthCards is awesome, you MUST host your card somewhere other than Hearthcards. Save it and upload it toImgur, Photobucket, or some other similar site. HearthCards has a limited server space and will purge cards after a few days, and nobody wants your card disappearing part-way through the finals. We understand that there are some HearthCards memberships that will allow you to save your card there for longer (and you should totally get one of those just for general fan creation purposes, by the way), but we don't know who has those memberships and we can't tell from the URLs.
Fun and even humorous entries are perfectly allowed, but "troll" entries will be disqualified. If you're worried that your card may be misinterpreted as a troll card, contact a moderator before you submit.
TIP: Though not a rule exactly, we highly recommend that you insert your images using this icon on the bar above the post text editor: . Just click that button and put in the URL of your image. Cards that are uploaded and attached to your post are not disallowed, but in our experience they will not do nearly as well, so this is for your own benefit more than anything.
Finally, know that manipulating votes in any way is strictly forbidden. Any violators will receive an official warning, and will be banned from this and all future HearthPwn Card Design Competitions.
Competition Process
Preview Phase (Starts Now! Ends 19:00 UTC 4/August/2016) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic is made available, previewing this week's competition theme. Entry and Early Voting Phase (Starts 19:00 UTC 11/August/2016, Ends 17:00 UTC 15/August/2016) During this Phase, the Submission Topic is made available for your submissions. You may also, of course, feel free to give early up-votes to any submissions that you like! Voting Phase (Starts 17:00 UTC 15/August/2016, Ends 17:00 UTC 16/August/2016) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be locked, so no more entries may be submitted. Instead, use this time to browse the submissions and up-vote your favorites! Final Phase (Starts 18:00 UTC 16/August/2016, Ends 18:00 UTC 17/August/2016) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a new Poll Topic will go up. Discussion will be allowed to continue in the Poll Topic, and it will also include all the qualifying finalists and poll to decide the winner of the competition!
How do we determine the qualifying finalists? First, we'll pull up-vote data from each submission using the formula detailed below:
(ab) / (c) = x
Where, a = The total number of submissions on the same page as the submission. b = The total number of up-votes that the submission received. c = The total number of up-votes on the same page as the submission. x = The submission's final score.
The formula basically measures which cards stood out the most, with the necessary assumption that each page is about equal in overall submission quality. It will be the entries that receive the highest final scores that move on to the Final Phase.
The bottom line is that, although entries on the earlier pages of the Submission Topic are much more visible and thus receive many more up-votes than entries on later pages, you don't actually have to rush to get your entry in as soon as possible because the up-votes end up being weighted by what page your entry ends up on in order to determine its final score.
But wait, there's more! During each Weekly Card Design Competition, each Fan Creation Forum moderators will be given a Wild Card, which they can use to advance any one entry that they feel was initially overlooked or under-appreciated to the Final Phase, regardless of its final score. Wild Cards are our way of spicing things up a bit, but please don't ask to be given one or be upset if you aren't given one. These are just supposed to be fun. (Also, it should go without saying that, while we moderators are allowed to participate in the competitions, we are not allowed to benefit from Wild Cards.)
Rewards
Bragging rights are always awesome, but as usual, we do offer a couple of HearthPwn site rewards to competition winners: Their card forever immortalized in our Winners' Gallery! They will be allowed to select the next card design competition theme. And a unique Avatar Border & "Card Design Champion" Title, as depicted below!
New Tool for Freeze Mage. The combo entails one tick of Emperor Thaurissan (as in the rules). Play Alexstrasza for 8 mana, Darkness Reclaims for 2 mana, it restores 9 mana to you. Then you have more than enough to Fireball, Roaring TorchFrostbolt and Ice Lance your opponent to death.
I'm pretty confident there are other OTK's, that's just the one I thought of designing this. The reason it silences a minion is to stop abuse with Sylvanas Windrunner and other deathrattle cards. Also negates Cycle from Gadgetzan Auctioneer.
So since the team this week is more or less "broken" I went with something as near balanced I could muster anyway. First I made it as a Mage card but realized it would be way to easy to trigger. So I went to the more semi "mage" classes, Warlock.
The damage made by the card grows as the games goes on and the spells you use(that does damage). Which makes the OTK possibility a lot more diverse than just one way.
Combo: Stack damage on the card by using other damaging spells like Soulfire, Mortal Coil, Shadow Bolt, Siphon Soul and so on. Spell damage on lesser spells would boost it faster. Keeping Malygos alive for one turn.. well.. gg.
Combo: Emperor Thaurissan onto the staff (and some discard cards), equip next turn and using a combination of any three discard cards that add up to 6 mana or less (Succubus, Darkshire Librarian, Soulfire...), discard three cards that will add up to 30 mana or use two soulfires on the enemies face and only discard 3 cards that add up to 22 mana. Also pray that rngesus is nice.
This combo does require rng, but any combo that will always ensure a victory isn't always good for the game. This card does not have to be used for a 30 health combo, but as a powerful took for the discard warlock decks.
On its face, this is a priestly version of Archmage Antonidas- designed to be a big-ish body that will get you a copy or two of one of your more versatile spells before your opponent uses up their removal to get it off the board. If your opponent can't kill her, she can heal back fully whenever you want. Not meta defining in a vacuum, but playable in some fun variant priest deck somewhere probably.
But couple it with Wild Pyromancer, Shadowboxer, and a no cost spell (along with one total emperor deduction), and you have an infinite combo. Summon the minions, cast the spell, set off the pyro, get a Circle of Healing, cast it, Shadow Boxer does 3 damage, pyro goes off again, get another circle, cast it, Shadowboxer goes off again, and on and on for a very long time until your Shadowboxer kills your opponent.
It's hard 6-card combo: 2 feral rages, 1 savage roar, 2 claws, hero power and druid of the wing. With taurissan - 9 mana and 30 damage, but this combo very flexible.
First I planned to make it 3 damage, but i think it's even enough with 2 for mill rogue
Combo works with Gang Up, and discount from Emperor Thaurissan We play this card, then skip Opponent gets 2 damage on his turn Then we play Brann Bronzebeard and Coldlight Oracle x3 or x4, then skip If we played 3 murlocs, we dealed 24 damage and 2 after skip. Combo with 3 murlocs cost 8 mana and if we use Dagger Mastery it would deal 29 damage after all. If we played 4 murlocs, we just dealed 32 damage for 10 mana. GG Sorry for that long text.
Here is my submission for the week. This week was tough because any card that easily enables an OTK would be considered OP. Nevertheless, I aimed to make a card that would be relatively balanced and could remain competitive even without its ideal combo.
After playing this guy, you get a OTK by forcing your opponent to draw 7 cards for 28 damage, meaning they die at the beginning of their next turn. Forcing your opponent to draw 7 cards can be done with the following combo: Grove Tender --> Naturalize the Grove Tender --> Coldlight Oracle --> Naturalize the Oracle. Combined with Old Timbermaw King, that is a 14 mana combo, which can be accomplished with 2 x Innervate or Emperor Thaurissan. Pulling off the combo would be very rare but this card would remain viable even without the stars aligning.
Note: I know Furbolgs have chieftains, not kings. But this is a "one turn kill" challenge, not an "over the counter" challenge.
Traditional Feast of Winter Veil gifts include small wisps, irate elementals, and fireballs aimed at the recipient's "loved" ones.
TheCombo: Great-Father Winter, Lord Jaraxxus and Sacrificial Pact. With all costs reduced by Emperor Thaurissan, play Great-Father Winter and follow up with Lord Jaraxxus, Sacrificial Pact your now Jaraxxus'd opponent (which does in fact work!), spam "Happy Feast of Winter Veil" to taste during the portrait explosion.
This is the Submission Topic. The Discussion Topic is here.

Good Luck!
You can find me here! Good luck everyone!
So the combo is: Emperor Thaurissan any one of the cards -> Wisp > Purify > Unicorn of Purity > Power Word: Shield > Divine Spirit > Divine Spirit > Inner Fire = 32 Charge damage
Check here for my new cards!Pokemon HS class! All the Pokemon as HS cards!
Emperor Thaurissan + Mark of Nature and Ravenous Whelp
There are other ways to do it but this method is the least reliant on draw.
Edit: Reworded effect for clarity.
Emperor Thaurissan + this card and Menagerie Magician or Zoobot
Depending on your results you can have lethal.
One result is if the beast is Grotesque Dragonhawk, the dragon is Deathwing and the murloc is Murloc Knight and then use Menagerie Magician and Zoobot then you win.
2 Turn Combo:
1st: Make sure you have minions with a total of at least 10 Health on you next turn. You can play 2x Stranglethorn Tiger for this.
2nd: Play Auchenai Soulpriest (3 Mana), 2x Divine Spirit (2 Mana) and then use SW: Sacrifice on your opponent for 30 Damage
Edit: Changed order of events as previous version would not work.

>>>Check out my Latest Card Design Competition Entry<<<
Impsy + Violet Illusionist + Brann Bronzebeard + 2 Pit Lords + 2 Flame Imps (All discounted by Emperor Thaurissan) == 32 damage.
illusionist is important so you don't die as well.

Works with Spell Damage. There is the turn 10 combo of Potent Growth > Jungle Moonkin > Astral Communion.
Also works on smaller scales with Innervate, Wild Growth, and Nourish. It costs 2 to facilitate these more realistic interactions.
It's hard 6-card combo: 2 feral rages, 1 savage roar, 2 claws, hero power and druid of the wing. With taurissan - 9 mana and 30 damage, but this combo very flexible.

We play this card, then skip
Opponent gets 2 damage on his turn
Then we play Brann Bronzebeard and Coldlight Oracle x3 or x4, then skip
If we played 3 murlocs, we dealed 24 damage and 2 after skip. Combo with 3 murlocs cost 8 mana and if we use Dagger Mastery it would deal 29 damage after all.
If we played 4 murlocs, we just dealed 32 damage for 10 mana. GG
Sorry for that long text.
Flavor text: "Who knew the miller's daughter would teach you this poison"
OTK combo: Brann Bronzebeard + 2 x Coldlight Oracle (Emperor Thaurissan procs once on all)
Let me change your mind
Cards that get affected: Backstab, Blade Flurry, fan of knives, and Shadow Strike.
After 1 effect of emperor
Combo with Malygos (8) + Preparation (0) + Critical Strike (0) + Preparation + Shadow Strike (0) + 2 Backstab (0) + Shadow Strike (2) = 34 damage
Play Emperor Thaurissan with Bloodmage Thalnos, 2 Lightning Bolt, 2 Lava Burst and 1 Storm rage in hand. Next turn 30 dmg combo spending 7 mana crystals
make no mistake...

OTK 22 damage in Paladin deck - Emperor Thaurissan + Molten Giant + Big Hat Wolf + Holy Wrath.
In other decks, it allows you to play an Old God on turn 7. Drawback is that it sort of skips you a new draw next turn.
Traditional Feast of Winter Veil gifts include small wisps, irate elementals, and fireballs aimed at the recipient's "loved" ones.
