Update: Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Druid Expansion Cards Completed.
Twin Blades Changed for Balance.
Currently im feeling most of the set is balanced there are a couple of power creeps.
Demon Hunter is being fleshed out to be Aggro, Toolbox or Suicide Builds. Blood Dk has had some tools added unholy and frost dk got some cards to flesh out builds and preview future tools. Hunter and mage cards are being worked on currently.
Some thoughts and opions would be appreciated. I'm aware illdari blade demon is high power to cost ratio the idea behind it is that windfury doesn't see enough play currently there are 3 windfury cards that see heavy active play as he doesn't have stealth/charge. I wanted something to make him enticing enough to play without immediate board impact.
Update: Mage Expansion cards finished. Monk Being worked on some cards from the monk base set and expansion will be moved around to balance out the healer burn build with the hero attack build. Monks having a lot of hero power dependency some cards will be adjusted to compensate for it and even out the 3 builds. Changes to core and expansion for monks will be listed below. Expecting a 4-6 card change. Distracting Technique was also changed to balance to flesh out the basic monk set and make it easier to move some of these cards back and forth sets.
Update: Corrupted by the Sha and Walker in the Mists, replaced Pandaren Royal Guard and Wise old master in core set. Who in turn moved to the expansion set.
"Greatsword of the Ebon Blade" -> is that a very shitty truesilver champion ? Needs a buff
"Frost rune" -> really weak. You should make it non random (and only on minions ?) or maybe make it freeze a character instead of dmg ?
"Spectral sight" -> I really like it, hearthstone lacks deck filters.
"Sindragosa" -> dealing some dmg on battlecry and having more hp then attack would be better. Sindra needs more love. My League of Legends nickname is Sindragosa so I couldn't let that be. Her whole fantasy is that she comes unsuspected then she flies over the whole enemy army ravaging them with her froth breath. Then she lands and helps you in the melee.
I actually orignally had frost rune freezing a random minion but felt it was too powerful we did a few tests with it. Found it to be the most balanced version because death knight kind of replicates 3 different hero powers testing with a few people we wanted to make them slightly less reliable also to encourage using them for rune power.
Ebon blade I may toy with it was ment to be kind of mediocre. We are doing rounds of balance testing later after expansion one on magic workstation or cockatrice to see how they mingle into the sets at different stages.
We will be running tests:
Just Core sets, Current meta, Current meta after cycle, current meta plus expansion, expansion after meta cycle to see how the classes play out and needed tweaks. I'm trying to target a 2-3 build viability for all 3 while seeing how they will test with a few play testers to make sure the classes are around even with the current meta sets if i get a 70/30 o 30/70 or better with an average around 60/40 vs most meta decks in tier 2/3 ill be happy. Doing best of 7 tests vs each our biggest issue currently will be working out a yogg factor for dk because dk yogg would clearly be a thing. - may do a adventure and a third expansion to close it out. but it will be after initial testing.
Sindragosa will get some more love as the frost dk expands path of frost was just 1 elemement that will play off free dks will get. Shown in first expansion. While the death rattle freeze isn't great freezing on battle cry is very strong it basically says you have to remove her with a spell or she can reign terror or stall loosing to search for an answer.
I will take note on ebon blade however and we will probably make changes to it for blood dks to have a harder choice between it and sorrows end. which might also get tweaked. Trying to watch them slightly because some dk spells will bolster having a weapon like blood strike. Another spell on the back table is dancing rune weapon which will basically summon a copy of your weapon as a minion.
Update: Changed Fel Glaive, and Burning Glaive Master to make them more unique. Adjusted Twin Blades of the Deciever for power level.
