Your entry for this competition will not be a card at all! Instead, you will select one of Season 3's winning cards, and then you will write flavor text for it.
A NOTE FOR VOTERS: The object of this competition is flavor text, not the card itself. Please judge the flavor texts on their own merits and try not to let your feelings towards the selected cards themselves influence your judgement too much.

We have whittled down ~50 valid entries to just 10 of the community's favorites. Wow, kudos to the format of the Finalists page, it's really simple and easy to read!

I quite like Hippogryph Rider, Guardian of the Grove and Raid Boss. They feel like something that would be in-game definitely.

Not getting 2nd Leap of Faith's flavour text though. :o

It's a reference to Counter-Strike's cheat-code for infinite ammo in game. :P

Pressing [~] opens up the command window.
Typing sv_infinite_ammo 2 grants the players infinite ammo, yet they still have to reload.
(which is the theme of the card, since you technically get infinite cards, but you still have to play it.)
Pressing [enter] enters the code.

I wanted to do a command line like hs_infinite_cards 2, but I think the reference would've been lost, so I kept it that way. :o

Don't get me wrong I think FrostyFeet did good, though the problem I find is that Poisoned Blade is from TGT while the Raid Boss card is using a classic symbol, meaning it's impossible to reference that card in the flavour text.

I also just figured out Nurgling's flavour text and it's hilarious.

I think you're reading too much into the set symbols. People put the Classic symbol on by default, often without truly intending for their card to be a Classic card. A lot of the times, at least for me, if we had to choose a set for our cards, it would be "Future unnamed set", which isn't an option when choosing a watermark.

I think the difference is in the emphasis. You have TRI-fl-ing vs a-MA-zing, if it's worth any.

I would have made it to refer to a Classic card but couldn't come up with a weapon bad enough :D.

All are fantastic, creative text entries, but my favorites were Wassculaire, Zukuu (first thing I thought of when this competition showed up was using "Guardian of the Groove" lol), Sylicas, Jhamel, MarioToast, & FrostFeetEU.

I enjoyed the others as well but felt that these ones stood out just a little bit more. Congrats and good luck to everyone!:)
