Mysterious Chest
Revelation
Definitely a tricky competition theme! =D
The key here is that it was a two-fold challenge. The theme's premise was something that you didn't want Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, to cast, but the spell itself is also collectible and should make as much sense as possible as an existing collectible card.
To that end, I think that Soul Drain ended up being my favorite. It strikes a perfect balance, I think, of being super interesting and balanced enough in theory on its own while being just terrible to get from Yogg. Supercharge also ended up a close second. I think that it's undercosted, though, and would be much more balanced as a higher-cost card.
Cards that I didn't think came out so hot were Memory Booster and Revelation. Memory Booster was sort of on the edge for me where I could decide whether it was sort of like the Totemic Might example that we used in that most of the time it's not actually bad it's just going to do nothing. And then Revelation I just kind of don't get as a stand-alone card.
Overgrowth :
Love it, very druid - a card like this is exactly what I want to see out of blizzard. It may be a biiiiit on the powerful side considering Miracle Druid is a thing and you can easily use this turn 1 and only end up discarding 1 or 2 of the cards you drew on average, but still. I really like this one.
Supercharge :
Cool design, though it seems a bit too ristrictive overall. I would say "Malygos Shaman" but you can't play Malygos on the same turn as all of your free spells. I dunno. Whenever I tried running the scenarios of this card on paper, it always resulted in "meh" results. A very unique idea though - it creates an interesting type of tempo-trade off, where you get to do a ton of things on 1 turn, but lose tempo the following turns.
Blood Transfusion:
I don't think this card fits the theme of the competition. It is too often a "do-nothing.". Yes, it kills you if you have less than 10 hp. But what if you don't.
Soul Drain:
This card is broken, no. Really really broken. Molten Giant sais hey. There's a reason dealing damage to yourself is not free for warlocks. It always costs mana. This is wrong, this GIVES you mana and deals damage to yourself. Dealing self damage is a resource of warlocks. This card is pure upside. There was a card in Hearthstone Alpha that made you take 1 dmg whenever you moused over it. There's a reason that card was scraped, mostly it was mechanically awkward, but also, it broke Warlock in half. No. Bad card. The Yogg interaction is hillarious, but not a full downside! I mean, yes, you could die. But what if you're above 20 health? Yogg could heal you before casting this. Then, you've probably got a hand full of cards drawn by Yogg, and 10 mana! AFTER already using 10 mana! That's basically pure upside, you don't need that 20 health when you got to take 2 turns in a row!
Mysterious Chest:
I love it. Old RPG style card. Pure downside with Yogg, but actually playable without it. All of my yes, good flavor, fun design.
Memory Booster:
This card gives me a MTG vibe for some reason. I like it, though. It is very interesting. Turn 7, use it with Arcane Intellect and you'll get a free sprint at the start of your next turn. I would call it too strong, but, you're using your entire seventh turn. So, actually, looks good to me.
Revelation:
I really like this card. It has a very smooth design. I like risky cards. How far will you go for power? I especially like seeing them outside Warlock, which has done them to death. This card alone can spawn a Molten Giant rogue variant. Amazingly well done Yogg-disadvantage.
Oblivion:
I like the idea, but I think it feels too "Warrior". I mean think about it. When you attack a minion, you destroy it, and take damage equal to that minion's attack. So this card basically reads : "Attack all enemy minions with a really strong weapon". That feels really Warrior or Druid to me. Even a bit Rgoue. Why make it a warlock card? Also is the downside -really- that big when you Yogg casts it? Yha you took damage, but you also cleared the board. That can be desirable.
TEMPO MAGE
I love all entries except Blood Transfusion, what is the point of this spell exactly ?

Ah yeah, I didn't think about that. Still pretty slow though.

I like Mysterious Chest but what is the downside with Yogg that wouldn't be there without him? Yogg isn't really meant to be played when you're at fatigue anyway.
Revelation just seems like it was made purposely for this contest. Its downside is severe even without Yogg so there isn't much difference imo.
Memory Booster is a dead card in your hand once you've played 4+ spells so I don't see it ever being played normally either.

Oh nice my card made it. Anyways I do enjoy the concept of Mysterious Chest as well as Overgrowth so they earn my vote.
The Nexus comes to the Inn with my set of Heroes of the Storm Legendaries!
Congrats to our first winner! ^_^
And Mini-Competition #2 is now up! =D
So "Overgrowth" made it into the Boomsday project yet Yogg-Saron has been rotated out of standard.
Your necromantic talents made a good impression on The Lich King. Have you considered joining the Scourge?
