Hello everybody! This topic is for discussion of our "Pump You Up" competition. To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.
So, without further ado, have fun and get creating!
I've decided to try and make a counter-C'Thun card, that dissuades your opponents from going forward with their C'Thun gameplan. I have a couple of potential designs right now.
One is a battlecry effect, while the other is an ongoing effect. Which one is better, or should the idea be scrapped?
I like the first one more than the second one. The second one can be easily be counter by just killing it before you play C'Thun cards. The second one will only receive full value if the enemy have no minions on the field.
What is the correct term for a tribe? Is it called the Beast tribe, the Beast tag or something else entirely?
Yrel: This feels a bit strange and weak. If you have a full board, you would want to invest 6 Mana, in which case, this is way to similar to Mukla's Champion. In general i would not see this as a legendary effect.
This week's Card Design Competition comes from HS_XxShrekxX, whose Eredar's Hope, Jaraxxus was the winner of our "Pawn Shop" competition.
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
Your card must give a keyword and/or a beneficial enchantment (often colloquially termed a "buff") to a minion in play. This may be permanent like Mark of the Wild, temporary like Abusive Sergeant, or even an "aura" effect like Wee Spellstopper. If the "buff" also comes with a downside, like Power Overwhelming, then it may only be applied to friendly minions.
As always, you may not delete any posts you make in this Submission Topic. Message one of the Fan Creation moderators if you've posted here in error or otherwise would like your post removed.
Remember that, although HearthCards is awesome, you must host your card somewhere other than Hearthcards, such asImgur or Photobucket.
Existing Examples:
Defender of Argus, Master Swordsmith, as well as the top examples are all examples of things we're looking for. I'm not going to list them all out, that'd take forever.
I have a question about the rule. Is the rule giving enchantment to a minion in play a must? Because if it a must then is it okay to give approval to C'tun buff that is special to wherever he is? Just a question for clarity reason.

So is a variation of that effect allowed? Maybe like this card for example:
Or only C'thun acolyte can use this? Because if it is allowed I can think of an Idea that specialise in enchantment of a specific card.
My submission this week. A simple little card that can help you preserve your minion, or steal powerful enemy ones.
Compare with Ancestral Spirit (This one requires you to play the Mana Cost again) and Convert (This one requires to you actually KILL the minion to get it), hence the low Mana Cost. Feedbacks appreciated.
Man this community showcases its inability to think for a second before voting for a vastly OP card again and again.
Varok Saurfang on page #2 is leading, but that it shuts down your opponent ENTIRELY if you place it next to ANY taunt, doesn't seem to be grasped by people. Unless you have a silence or hard-removal you have lost by turn 8. #Balanced.

I already regret having my entry on page 2.

Edit: I decided to go with this light-hearted card.
I'm not thrilled with this week's contest. It seems way too open ended.

Submission rules question! Do C'Thun buff cards (give your C'Thun XX, wherever it is) count for this competition?
My submission this week. I took some liberty from Forbidden Spells, but this one only spend up to 2 more mana. Do you guys think it's good?

My entry for this week. What do you guys think?
I not sure if this would be game breaking like Blood Imp use to be or if I need to change it to +1 Health.
Here's my submission for this week, let me know what you think! :)

How does this concept look? Should an effect this instead be relegated to an Epic or so minion? Should it be a 5/8?

Here's my submission this week. Let's create some chaos!
