It's not only there to fix absolutely broken cards, but it also can be tech against unfavourable, unwinnable otherwise matchups. As it's cost isn't too high, it can be used against pretty much anything, from aggro to combo. You can choose egg if you hate zoo, or leper gnome, if you hate aggro.
