@VictorThell What's the first card? It's not showing up anymore.
My bad, I deleted the old ones and they disappeared from here as well…current versions are here:
As for your card, I initially thought it was busted, now I just think it’s borderline busted ala Misterious Challenger against classes that attack a lot with their hero, but I love it’s design overall
You must remember that standard is coming out soon and that means aggro decks may see less play. I really like this card design and I think you should go with it.
Hey, that's a good art suggestion! Thanks. I edited my other post to show both arts side by side. What do you think?
Tough call, I mean the hexamorph does show two different animals so wild (random) polymorph does work but the reaction of the thing changing is nice too but less overall "aesthetic".
Btw, we were talking about making valid beast entries that have some synergy with Mage and the top voted entry so far is a 1 1/2 with a power that parrots your opponent's emotes LOL. Class Mage parroting emotes ftw?? /facepalm And I am pretty sure that was an idea previously on this forum to "buff" Captain's Parrot.
Yeah. I'm pretty unhappy with that "Magician's" Parrot. Magicians don't have parrots... Even from the art, it is very clearly a Pirate's Parrot.
Still, it's such a funny card. But I agree, it would be better as a neutral/rogue. But if I were him with that idea I would have submitted that aswell because who knows when you get another chance?

The way I see it, it's like submitting a Sword and Shield as a weapon for Hunter. All other aspects of the design besides the class are irrelevant, because you have utterly failed to make a card of the correct class.
I have a more serious idea but I thought this was fun enough to show off. Thoughts? If I would get great feedback I would probably submit this. The 1/1 Rabbit wouldn't have any card text btw.

This card (unlike a few of the others) fits the idea of fitting the mage class. While it is an rng card it definetly feels balanced. You could play this card and ping it if you needed card draw and hope for the best. I think that a 1/1 is a little weak and it could be changed to have a little more attack (2/1 maybe). Other than that I like the card and the idea of a magicians hat is awesome.
I agree with some of your sentiments. I was trying to think of a way to make beasts or beast synergy a thing with mage and conceptually I just couldn't think of anything which worked so instead came up with the Magician's Parrot. Beasts are simply not things which are associated with mages.
I'm happy to get a few laughs but I've come up with better cards and I'd be surprised if I won. But I wouldn't complain if I did :)
Tried to balance it into an early game tool that will help remove minions or keep a strong board presence at the cost of some health. Think of this choose one as a deathrattle effect that really isn't a deathrattle. Its death automatically would bring up a choose screen where you'd pick between paying for its revival or allowing it to die. inherently you could make this a death rattle effect, but it avoids things like "destroy deathrattle cards, or gain effects off death rattle cards"
What do y'all think of this card? I think I balanced it pretty well against Resurrect - to compensate for the restriction on what it can summon, I gave a small boost in power to the minion. It's really meant as a tech card to allow for variation in Mage decks - maybe with this card you might choose to run Stranglethorn Tigers, or maybe Maexxna might see some play. You'd obviously be more inclined to only run a few Beasts to maximise the potential, but that's quite thematic, a Mage having one true Familiar. I'm open to balance suggestions though, as I might be biased given when and why I designed this card.
I really like this idea –– think it's perfectly balanced as well. Awesome!

I'm having a tough time figuring it out, but I think the upside outweighs the downside. Something like you either overpay by 1 mana or underpay by 1.5? Although, I think this might be as balanced as it can be. And then of course the hero power comes into consideration. I can't say if it ending up as 3 mana draw two cards is still fair, comparing like Explosive Sheep to Hellfire, but this is still pretty different, so I think it might be. Tough to think about, very interesting.
And as for what I came up with:
I was thinking epic spells at first, then I thought about rare, then I looked at the collection and it turns out there aren't actually that many of either. I don't think the specified rarity should affect the value of the discover effect, but that's just me. Thoughts?
So, the Idea here is that you are channeling your spells through this minion, imbuing it with arcane energy to make it, and subsequently your spells, stronger. Additionaly, this minion might damage an enemy, and discharge that arcane energy as an attack (think Yennefer's raven, in the witcher 3 trailer.)
I'd prefer if the effect procc'ed after every spell, but that would step on Mana Wyrm's toes just a little too much.
I priced this card where I did because you need to use the inspire effect to stack it, and simply attacking the damn thing with anything at all will get rid of those pesky buffs. Yes, that means Druid and Rogue in particular laugh at this card.
This card is inspired by the way the Phoenix functioned in Warcraft 3. You summon the Flame Phoenix first, when it dies it turns into an egg. When the egg hatches a new Phoenix rises.
Players could easily deal with a 4/3 target. However, having the egg still in play can cause a potential threat towards your opponents board clears. This will make the Phoenix a constant threat if not being able to silence it.
This could be potentially a good card with Flame Leviathan, too bad it is going away in Standard. What are your thoughts?
Phoenixes don't count as Beasts in WoW. The mods have said things that don't count as Beasts in WoW won't count here, giving a Phoenix as a specific example.
The thing is that the card is delayed and potential draw. Loot Hoarder is a 2/2/1with 1 card draw as a Deathrattle, this card's deathrattle means that in 50% of the cases you will draw 0 cards. I think it balance wise could be seen as an average of 1 card draw. This in turn means that the card sacrifices 2 stats to be 1 mana cheaper thanLoot Hoarder (while at the same time being a class card with 0 attack value which means it's harder to proc its deathrattle)
And about your card; It's too vanilla for my taste and I don't really see how a librarian has much to do with magic and why a cat would be able to give anyone spells (it can't fetch things like a dog). Also 3/2 stats feels wrong compared with more dangerous minions that already exist. A cat isn't that threatening. Balance wise: Sure.

I can't find anywhere where they have stated that.
I did figure out I shouldn't post things like ''thoughts?" though, my bad.
Asylum says it here. Note that Al'ar is the name of a specific Phoenix.
I know everyones doing cats and shit but i think this is an interesting idea. Good early drop to counter hard aggression now that zombie chow and mad scientist will be gone. it will simply die for good when its died 3x(sorry kitty no 9 lives here) chances are that you will get a nice little boost from it being on the board as it combos well with freeze mages doomsayers and can hold off x/1 drops very well. Best it can be is a 1/1 with 2 spell damage giving you a chance to use maybe a 5 damage forgotten torch :)
Another silly idea I have. The flavor is that the black cat brings bad luck. When the effect triggers, the noise of a mirror getting broken would be played (in my fantasy). I'm wondering if I should submit one of the silly ideas or my serious one, hmmm....

Damn :'D My serious idea was kind of Phoenix based.
However, as it's enough if "Beast" is mentioned in the card text...
GGWP. Really funny idea, crasyherbz

Ok, so I've got 3 ideas which I like. Balance comes later, but I'm wondering which effect is the most interesting?

Thoughts about the art? Any of these better?
So I think I have it finalized. What do you guys think?
