Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.

Good question. I would assume no, as its a Battlecry with a requirement, rather than the card itself doing something while holding it. Would a minion whose text lets it be summoned from hand count, or is that the same issue?

No, Blackwing Corruptor has the same problem as Twilight Drake. Their conditions are independent of when they were in hand. If Corruptor's text were "If you draw a dragon while this is in your hand, gain Battlecry: Deal 3 damage." or Drake's text were like Bolvar's and were "Whenever you draw a card while this is in your hand, gain +1 Health." then those would work.

Pretty sure no, but the reverse effect would be. The power has to come from the card in hand, not the card played if I read the rules right. I'm actually playing around with the idea myself- I think "reverse dragon synergy" is a natural fit for this week:
You have to let it sit in your hand while the opponent wails on your hero to get a good benefit out of it. Then it turns into a much better card. The beginning card is kinda weak to balance out the strong transformed card.
what you think about that? first i thought to give it to Hunter and give it a Beast-tag, but then i realized, that this will be insanly broken with Tundra Rhino, so i decide to remove Beast-tag completely, since even if it will be other class-specific beast, hunters still have options to get it and to be fair, phoenixes are more elementals in WoW, so this is why i made it a shaman-card instead. But i am realy not sure about cost and stats, i need little help with it.

Because of this, I made it 0 cost so that you can get rid of it easily if you want to draw from your deck, and also to activate combos if you want to. Playing it has no actual effect, though.

I meant the second, and it's by no means balanced. Just used it to illustrate the concept since he brought up the concept of dragon synergy and I was toying around with a similar idea.
Hi guys, I really need some advice regarding the balance of my card and the wording. Is it clear enough that by 'whenever your opponent takes damage, you take damage' you will take the same amount of damage? So let´s say I play Blood Pact and tap, my opponent will take 2 damage. If he attacks me with one of his minions or with a spell for 6, he will also take 6 damage and so on. Does that make sense?
6 Mana for a putting any detrimental card is probably too much. And the detriment you're giving them is absolutely ridiculous. They have to spend almost a whole turn's worth of tempo just so they can safely play against you.

Ok, this is cool. However, what exactly would you Discover? Any random card? And when you pick your Discovered credit card, does that card go into your deck, or does Sleight of Hand? Either way could be protection against emptying your deck.

It needs to be reworded (and there might not be enough space to) because you can draw cards on your opponent's turn.

And yes, I know it looks broken, but here's my justification for the cost:
Charge costs 2 mana and also gives a ~1 mana stat boost w/ its +2 attack, so giving Charge in Warrior costs ~1 mana and a card. Also, for this to function, you need to draw this card, which instantly screws with your entire early curve (imagine mulliganning for a good hand early on and then the card you draw off the top is this guy), so you can't just slap an Aggro deck and put this guy in and smash into the face, and at the same time, super late game greed decks can't really abuse it either, there aren't really any late game cards that have <3 attack.
What do you think about the minion? Is this more suited for a lower cost guy so you can play your curse away the same turn more easily? What about it being a Shaman card? I feel like giving it to an existing mill class would make it overpowered, but I do want the mill option to be a part of the card.

notes: ascendance will probably have overload when I redo the card. for gluth, all cards that are undead (such as zombie chow, flesheating ghoul, and sludge belcher) would have the undead tag. holy defender has low stats because of the fact it gets buffed each time you take damage be it you smashing your face or the enemy hitting you. thinking bout giving earth rager taunt. sinestra and hide of the earth warder seem in a fine place.
The problem i am seeing with some cards here is that when they work like Bolvar and Knight of the Wild, your opponent will know when you have them. I thought it would be more loyal to the game's current state if your opponent didn't know when you had that card. Then i made this.
I had some difficulty with the wording because there were no other cards that had a changing value of overload. Maybe you guys can help me improve it?

Any random card from the Discover pool of Rogues (so any Neutral card and any Rogue class card). Sleight of Hand would get shuffled back into your deck. It gives you insane protection against Fatigue, but the cards you get are unreliable at best, and you miss out on drawing from the deck of cards you actually picked twice (once for the Discover, and once when you draw it again).

A quick, rough update to Sleight of Hand. It now has 5 lines of card text, which I deplore, but I can't think of any way to condense it and have it still be functional, which is a shame. I love the idea though, so I think I'll still go with it.
