First of all, thanks for the feedback. Here are some new cards I came up with:
Mark of Kathra'Natir: I realized originally it would be hard to meet its condition, so I wanted it to have some wild effect. I figured it would probably end up being pretty bad but you're right – it doesn't need to be a dead card most of the time. So here it's very close to Shadowform with a rewarding condition. You can still play it alone, and Rogue can benefit from a hero power change later in the game. I balanced it thinking the most consistent way to pull it off is turn 9 with Illidan Stormrage, so it's worth around the same as Lord Jaraxxus's hero power. Of course there are some differences, but I think it's close enough. Also, should I bother making tokens for the hero powers?
Meryl Felstorm: Kind of a tech card. I liked the idea of attaching the effect to a minion, and I came to this. It's a little far from my original card but it still has the same idea. I tried to balanced thinking somewhere between Hemet Nessingwary and Cabal Shadow Priest. Although I think it makes a lot of sense I'm not too big a fan of it just because it can go form being a 7 mana 5/5 to a 7 mana 5/5 that steals Mal'Ganis. Maybe it should be cheaper with different stats like Light's Champion or Mind Control Tech?
I'm trying to focus on one card to work on. I've got it down to these two ideas:
Anyone like either of these two cards? I think they could both be useful. Cold Shoulder is a good control card. Maybe a little complicated? War Hound would be solid for aggro or keeping board control, if you can get some beast synergy.

I don't know how good (or bad) is Cold Shoulder, but you can probably get rid of the "After", don't think it provides anything to the tooltip and feels like unnecessary text. As in "The next time you attack...".
As for War Hound, I left my thoughts in an earlier post, not sure if you read them (or if you cared :p) but overall I think it may just be too good in the standard use-case:
about War Hound, the problem with Charge minions is that their cost is exponential, based on Attack. If you manage to trigger the effect, you basically get a 5/3 Charger for 3 Mana which is huge value - compare to Reckless Rocketeer (6 mana, and less health) or Wolfrider (same mana and charge, but much weaker). Sure, they're basic cards but you get the idea :P
Its basic stat profile, 3/3 is just below curve, so nerfing it would be a bad idea (making the card total garbage) so probably better to tweak the bonus. If you lower it to +1 Attack, it's basically a Kor'kron Elite (for 1 less mana) which is still decent, possibly erring on the weak side.
I know Beast Warrior isn't a thing, but the 5/3 seems simply too much. It's the sort of card that would be overpowered enough to support a whole archetype by itself - Beast Warrior would exist because of it. Same way Secret Paladin solely exists because of Mysterious Challenger.
I still like War Hound better than Cold Shoulder (even if I'm suggesting a nerf!) simply because it's more straightforward and the art looks super cool.
Yeah, I totally missed your previous post. I'm not sure I need to balance the card against Reckless Rocketeer, since I think it's just bad. However, giving my card +1/+1 isntead of +2 attack would be an easy change and would hopefully alleviate concerns. That would only be slightly better than Kor'kron Elite, which I think is a good power level for activating the synergy.
I think +1/+1 is more fair, it basicly becomes Druid of the Claw in cat-form, which is 5-mana card. And if you look at Druid of the Fang, having a beast on board gives exactly two more mana value, cause it transforms in basically War Golem with beast-tag, so i think +1/+1 is perfect.
Here is my idea for the card design competition this week. I think I have a good idea but wanted an opinion on the mana cost and the wording of the effect.
Class: Shaman
Taking the card control mechanic from the priest class.
Clarification of the effect: At the end of your turn (including the turn this card is played) one random enemy minion will swap sides of the board, thus reducing the number of usable minions on your opponents turn. After the opponent ends their turn they will get their minion back again.
If Charm totem is destroyed before returning the enemy minion, that minion will stay on your side of the board.
Positive Effects:
- Can help the shaman slow the game down and gain some control of the board.
- If a Taunt is stolen it could clear the enemy board, or prevent heavy damage.
- Could prevent and effect from occurring during the opponents turn.
Balancing Effects:
- The totem itself has a weak body and can be removed by most spells.
- Since it is RNG it could potentially steal a weak minion, giving it less value.
maybe someone can help me understand this. I'm not salty that I'm losing to this card since I doubt either of us are going to win second page anyways, but, why does thunderfury (pg2 sub topic) have so many votes? its a 3 atk 1 dur rogue weapon with windfury. first off its kind of over stated. hero powers would cost 0 if they were cards so a 1/2 weapon is 0 mana.a 3/2 weapon is 2 mana base. so a 3/1 is balanced at base, but is over stated with windfury. also it has one supporting card, that being captain greenskin. so it's over stated and has almost no supporting cards? sure rogue has a lot of atk buffs but that does nothing for the windfury without a second durability. it just bothers me for some reason that people like an over stated and under supported card. maybe it's cause it's called thunderfury.

First of all, it's 10 votes to 8. I don't know why you are getting all worked up about losing by 2 votes out of 10. That's within the margin of uncertainty, if you treat the votes randomly. Also, both of your cards are losing by quite a bit, so in reality, not many people like either one. The reasons you brought up could be exactly why it has 10 votes, less than 1/7 of the top card on the page. And there are probably several reasons why people aren't voting for your card, too. First, the art isn't good. Don't ever use screenshots as art. If your art isn't good, you're gonna lose votes. Second, you don't really give any justification for why you are giving Warriors Windfury. Third, people probably just aren't very excited by the effect. People already don't use the Shaman cards that give minions Windfury, so they probably won't use an expensive Warrior one, especially if it costs 5 mana.
I think this is a really interesting concept. My only suggestion would be perhaps making it a permanent effect (give minions in your opponent's hand...) and cost more mana? There aren't really any spells that have a one-turn effect. Good idea, though!
Rogue with a Druid Choose One mechanic, as well as a Priest copy mechanic similar to Burgle.
Tokens..
thoughts? I am a die hard mill fan, so this is sort of a sad attempt to give it love. haha.
I think this is great as it is. Might seem like it could be worth a little less but I think it's solid at 4; it's pretty flexible and powerful and rogues need more 4's haha.
Hi, any thoughts on whether this type of effect would meet the rules of the competition? Its a little unclear whether by Freeze effect, a "frozen" minion would be acceptable.
This is perfect for Muradin lol. Don't know if it needs to be 'Permanently Frozen' considering you can un-freeze him with healing. Definitely one of the better Muradin concepts I've seen.
Edit: Realized after posting the purpose of 'Permanently Frozen' would be opposed to minions un-freezing after one turn, as the freeze effect does. Whoops.
To elaborate: Because it's an Enrage effect, when this minion either gets healed to full or dies, the warrior cards will change back to their original warlock counterparts except for the cards that were used during the effect. Warrior cards will be different everytime this effect occurs, but the warlock cards will stay the same they were before the effect took place.
This is a really cool idea, especially for Mannoroth. I think he could use one more point of stats given that enrage doesn't synergize so well with warlock, but it's fine as it it. Warlock does have 9-mana cards where Warrior has none, but I don't think that's something you need to worry about.

I would suggest making this less mana, I think it would still be balanced at 3. It does need the low health with its effect, and Tuskarr Totemic is a thing. As for the wording I think it's solid, I'd just put a comma between "end of your turn" and "take control". Really cool concept!
Can you guys comment on what you think about the power level of this card? I think it could fit in the game as Shaman is weak right now and their hero power is thought to be the weakest as well. This could work well with Justicar and also some inspire cards, while also being a good turn 3 play. Definitely OP as a neutral, but I think it works as a Shaman class card.
You have combined Maiden of the Lake and Coldarra Drake in one card, which is very powerful. One is a 2/6 for 4, the other is a 6/6 for 6. If the combined card is a 2/5, it is way too cheap at 3 mana. 4 is already pushing it. I would make it a 3/5 for 5 mana, and epic, not common. Enrage is a bit of a limitation, but not enough to count. Enrage doesn't really fit the card anyway, it feels tacked on to comply with the rules of this competition round.
Unfortunately the standard shaman hero power cannot summon the same totem if it's already on the board, so by default, you're limited to using your hero power 4 times a turn. However, Sir Finley Mrrgglton, Charged Hammer, Sideshow Spelleater and Majordomo Executus provide ways around this. Dropping this card when you are Ragnaros is downright insane.

First of all, it hardly has any votes.
As for why it has the votes it does, I imagine that a lot of people don't remember that Rogues only have easy access to one card that buffs Durability. Additionally, it would be a pretty damn good card in a Pirate Rogue. 1 mana 3 damage is nothing to sniff at, and the Pirate synergies are great. I'd love this card in a Pirate Rogue. I'd love it even without the Windfury in a Pirate Rogue. In fact, without the Windfury and with a shifted theme as well, I'd love the card. Its objectively over statted, but those are reasons you'd like it.

I actually didn't think about pirate rogue. I feel stupid since I listed a pirate as its only real synergy. Thanks for the insight.

What is your problem? You were asking the wrong questions, so I gave the right answer. There was no need to talk about Thunderfury, because you already gave the reason why people weren't voting for it, which is what I said. It didn't make sense to ask why people like a card that they did not in fact like, which is what I was telling you. I was trying to put the votes into the proper perspective for you. I was just trying to be realistic and tell you what about your card people probably didn't like so you can make better cards in the future. I could have simply said "You're card sucks, and Thunderfury sucks" which is typical for feedback in other parts of this forum. When I did ask for criticism I got one reply. Also, I didn't ask the wrong question. I saw it had 10 votes meaning 10 people liked it. I want to try and understand why they do. I can also take criticism but I wasn't asking for it. You decided it'd be a great idea to answer my question on why some people like it with why people don't like mine. I know mine is bad. I made it that way. I want titans grip as a card and I saw windfury to synergize with the idea. You simply wasted time by telling me why mined sucked rather than answering my question.

What do you guys think?
I'm trying to focus on one card to work on. I've got it down to these two ideas:
Anyone like either of these two cards? I think they could both be useful. Cold Shoulder is a good control card. Maybe a little complicated? War Hound would be solid for aggro or keeping board control, if you can get some beast synergy.

Hey;
Thanks for any feedback.

maybe someone can help me understand this.

Don't know if it needs to be 'Permanently Frozen' considering you can un-freeze him with healing. Definitely one of the better Muradin concepts I've seen.I would suggest making this less mana, I think it would still be balanced at 3.
You can find me here! Good luck everyone!
