Shaman does a pretty good job at beating paladin. Pally has pretty restricted options in terms of removal and Shaman is good at flooding the board and maintaining board control.
At the same time it provides all the answers needed to deal with the other big threats like Tirion Fordring, Dr. Boom etc.
I am using a modified version of this deck at the moment and having great success against paladin.
Nice!! I kinda suck with Shaman, Im playing Druid wih double combo. I was Rank 1 yesterday and now back to Rank 3 :- (
Really any class can pretty easily get past this since it is pretty much a one trick pony deck. As has been mentioned Warrior, Rogue, Shaman are more suited to the early removal answers, but Warlock and Mage can wipe their board before and after the Quartermaster as well. Priest and Hunter have answers but less direct ones so they are a little less suited for the matchup and another Pally (especially a non-mirror) is probably the worst. I really enjoy Paladin but until it has more than just Muster/Quartermaster and Tirion to be viable it is out of rotation for me.
since i got legend for first time this season with pally excuslively ill try to answer this the best i can, first of all shaman is a free win vs pally i would say its 80-20,
the classes that give pally the hardest time is mage (ping, flamestrike etc) and rogue. Really difficult, rogue have burst and can aoe pretty effiently, you as the pally would need to rush them down asap.
druids aren't a problem altho heavy taunters can be a issue.
Aoe in general. Control warrior for me isn't a problem cause I usually play around whirlwind and wait till I can combo. I find handlock difficult to play against as a midrange pali, shadowflame and hellfire.

This. Burst and well timed boardclear kills paladin. I think the success of paladin is due to the fact that not many people know how to play around their stuff.

Which I really don't understand because (as much as I like playing Paladin), Paladin tricks are super easy to play around.
They are now, that every streamer and his dog have played Muster/Quartermaster. On GvG release, my Silver hand recruits used to be the last target and my trip to legend was much much easier than the second GVG season.
Right now Paladin isn't at all that strong. It's just a deck with the same game plan against every opponent. Meaning that it's consistent and if it gets the cards right, board control happens and is hard to lose.

Roque is the best counter imo, the backstabs for your knife jugglers and the fan of knives / Blade flurry for the musters is pretty sick. Also the things that spawn from Violet Teacher counters the paladin dudes as well.
This. I've been playing a ton of midrange Paladin this season and the only matchup I am not comfortable with is Rogue. Between FoK, BF, Backstab, Deadly Poison, Sap and all their other goodies they just answer the threats Paladins have better than other classes. Not to mention that their Hero Power 2 for 1's the Paladin's.
Actually I've seen that the thing that really seals the deal with Rogue is Sap. I can struggle for board control early on, grab it. Then go back and forth with clears and when Tirion/Boom/random biggie enters the table....boom--->Back one turn.

Maybe I try Rouge... lol :- ) But I think I suck with that class...

If midrange Paladin bothers you, you should. Honestly one of the main reasons the deck is doing so well at the moment, besides being a super solid deck, is the fact that the hardest matchup for the deck (Rogue) is probably the least played constructed class these days.

Hi, I want to know your experience and if you know what deck recks mustard pally.
Thks!
Control warrior. Lots of 1-dmg aoe to keep the recruits down.
And what are your stats agains hunter midrange?

Control Warrior can halt their board presence and Tempo Rogue has a lot of ways to slow them down and clear their board.
I am Ozymandias, King of Kings

Warriors aren't even close to the hell that Rogues and Priests are for the midrange pally. I'd say that Rogues are almost an autoloss.

Good point!
I agree here, those are definitely the hardest matchups.
