Not playing the game, is not a change of strategy, its specifically a lack of strategy.

The big problem is not the damage, is the card draw. You can get 3 to 4 cards for 4 mana, and then get even more cards until you have no mana. So, if you a lucky guy and get 2 unleash you get even more cards and the odd's of getting Hunters Mark is very high, that card, takes out everysingle card in the game.
My opinion is simple, you dont nerf anything, not mana cost, not ability draw. What you need to change is, when Unleash comes to play it summon's the dogs, but the dogs can't be a beast. So, if they are no beast, they can't draw cards. Prety simple.
So completely nerf the card into inplayability? Look im all for killing hunters and watching them burn, but the point is to delay the dumb combos / weaken them, not make the card unplayable. Increasing the mana cost to 4 solves all problems. Without taking away from the mid - late game combos such as big card draw / a big hyena / board clear / burst. The problem is quite literally, it comes out too soon. Say turn 6 you play buzzard + unleash..... you draw half your deck, oh look you get the second unleash, draw the other half of your deck. Clear the board, or win w/e. Now we all know turn 7 for mages, and we choose not to play alot on that turn for fear of skillstrike, But with hunters, as little as 3 mana is when unleash can come out, imagine if it was "Turn 6" for hunters that you played around, where buzzard + unleash was almost assuredly comming out, because unleash was now 4 mana... Strategy could be formed, rather then playing minions and face racing their hero ability while hopping they just dont have the combo.

theres a difference between adapting your strategy depending on class/deck and knowing that regardless of how dominant your board position is, if you continue to play out your cards, he will throw down buzzard/hyena/uth/hunters mark and your board will be swiped while he'll be left with a buffed hyena.
look at it this way: flamestrike - 7 mana, clears your board.
buzzard/hyena/uth/timberwolf/hunters mark - 7 mana, you lose the game.
The buzzard could draw a card whenever you play a card (including spell) which results in a minion. Then UTH buzzard would give a single card but animal companion would not be nerfed. This would balance the situation because they would need to spend two cards to get a replacement card before you get the chance to fry their bird.
Lead dev just said it was the top card they're looking at.
Want the true? They just said that because of people complaining (This is solely my opinion and is based on what the development team said and they are not responsible in any way to what I think or say). They are not planning to change it, they have already mentioned that they are going to introduce other cards to balance things for everyone.
If they were going to change Unleash the Hounds they would have done that long long ago and for me there is no chance they will change it now
I don't necessarily think that UTH is overpowered. However, it does seem to go against the whole rationale behind nerfing some of the OTKs, which was that essentially Blizzard wanted the game to be about minion combat, not that you would ignore the board state until you got your combo cards and then win. UTH encourages you to play as few cards as possible while still being at the mercy of Deadly Shot every turn.

Sorry kids, the designers already said they aren't changing buzzard or unleash.
They never said that at all. They simply said that they would prefer not to change cards at this stage and to let new cards be the panacea for difficult deck archetypes. They did say that Unleash the Hounds was card they were closely looking at. Which means that if they feel it is necessary, they will change it. The likelihood of a nerf might be slim, but they in no way ruled out a change.
Finally! Im still not sure this is the right way to nerf it, but we will see.
Changing up Starving Buzzard or Scavenging Hyena probably would have been too big a hit to the class. There's no problem with having a big draw engine (look at Miracle Rogue). And a super-buffed Hyena is easily countered with a single silence (not to mention other cards).

Blizzard already said they are happy the way the card works.
It was on the first page few weeks ago and also there tweet account. No matter how many topics you create about the card it will NOT get changed.
Blizzard thinks is balanced and Blizzard does what ever they want.
Personally I wanted the card removed from the game, not changed....

i figured out the best nerf for starving buzzard.
make it so the draw effect can only trigger up to 2 times per turn. i think it would be fair with that
