So..Lucky me! During lunch today I opened a pack and opened Golden Grommash Hellscream (necessary for control warrior) . As a current F2P character, dust is kind of hard to come by ;I only have the first 4 wings of naxxramas and nothing else. Should I dust the precious Golden Grommash so I can get myself Dr.Boom which is necessary in a lot of decks; Or should i just keep it?
FYI, I really don't want to get the other 5 legendaries to make Control Warrior.
To be honest i have like 200 dust atm; I started playing hearthstone back in may. I didn't play hearthstone for a while and started making decks for classes.
You will definitely regret it if you plan to stick around. If you find yourself playing less and less, and need a strong neutral card to reignite your interest in the game then by all means do it.
Ok, I would wait. Play lots of arena and you will be able to get the dust while simultaneously learning better strategies to make that bling warrior deck you'll have someday that much more satisfying.
Grom is one of those legendaries that don't really have a replacement in decks that involves him. If you're playing a lot of warrior then keep him. Midrange patron kinda requires him. A budget control warrior is also possible. All in all, he's a good finisher for all warrior decks.
On the other hand if you're playing across all classes with mostly midrange decks, you really need Boom.

Well, it may seem that way right now, but why not? When you progress in the game you're very likely to change your mind about that. Sure, right now making a control warrior deck may seem extremely difficult but what about in a year?
I think the relevant question that you should ask yourself is: Do you think you'll care about golden cards in (lets say) one and a half years when maybe you'll have all the useful legendaries you want in non-golden form??
I am a free to play player and in your place i would definetely transform that useful (in the future) golden legendary into a useful right now non-golden one! You're likely to be able to get more wins/gold with it too in the short term which will help you craft other cards more quickly.
It's nonesense that you need to dust it just because you don't put money into the game. If you DE golden Grom and you stick around for a long time in this game you will very much regret it. He is an excellent legendary! The midrange warrior (with grim patron) also uses Grom btw. So this would be a cheaper first deck goal if you want to keep him + play with him as soon as possible.
Building up the collection is a painfully slow process at the start but there comes the point at which it starts getting much better. You will get all commons and most rares after you opened enough packs (if you are a collector) and afterwards the dust rolls in fast enough that you get 1-2 legendaries/month if you do your quests. (often more than that if you open more legendaries in the packs too)
Thing is, a friend of mine and I started at about the same time. He put money in packs -> opened about the double amount of packs than I did. Our collections are still roughly equal because I kept everything (which wasn't 3+ for most cards / 2+ for legendaries) while he dusted everything he didn't need at the moment to get his preffered decks as soon as possible. I had a much rougher start than he did but now I have as many cards as he has but spent 100+ bucks less. Now I can also play Handlock and Controll warrior.. So you will get there eventually. I am happy how it turned out and it would have been a very big mistake if I had DE the atm not usefull legendaries. Like allready said, Grom is a good legendary which makes it even worse to DE him.
If we will ever see a successfull aggro pala you can be sure that Grom would also be in there. Most archetypes of warriors will probably add him as core card or at least as a tech card.

Who can take your trash out? Stomp it down for you? Shake the plastic bag and do the twisty thingy, too?
Don't dust it for doctor boom at least, don't dust one good card for one other good card. If you are really new to the game and you got a golden legendary a case can be made to dust it for 16 essential rares to make farming easier, but one card, even one as good as dr. boom, isn't going to change that much.

RIP yogg-saron good things don't last forever :(
True, i really don't want him to be just sitting in my collection gathering dust...
How much dust do you currently have and when did you start?

You can always craft another one for the same amount of dust, not golden obviously, but who cares about golden cards? I dont...
