For me its not about the card being playable or not, its about the card being 100% ripped off from another classes card but better and at a lower rarity. If this were rare or epic I wouldn't be as annoyed. I'd still be annoyed by it, don't get me wrong, but its just so weird they chose to make it this way.
It's like they forgot they even made recycle. I swear, these guys must have alzheimers

HAHA, they obviously were making most of these cards before the TGT meta has settled or I doubt we'd see the Mounted Raptor or 0 new Neutral Taunts or some sort of additional answer to secrets.

To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women.
Seems this card is best for countering strong plays at turn 6. Sylvannas / Highmane are two minions that come to mind here.
You can use this to seal off all value the opponent would have gotten for these, so if you have board you wind up ahead at this point. It costs a little bit more than an Owl + SW:Death, but it only takes 1 card slot. You also can possibly use those cards later to help seal out a game. The downside is that that high cost minion you Entomb could end up being a dead draw as you look for answers later.
It also works well for a powerful card like Tirion, or a Ysera that's immune to your Shadow words. But those are so close to Mind Control turn, so I'd rather use that on them. Entomb does provide redundancy in case you don't draw Mind Control by then, or it costs less so you can still play other stuff on the same turn.
Not a bad card; I'd think that people are going to experiment with at least 1 in their priest decks to see if it fits in.
How did this become a card? A strict upgrade to Recycle, at common, for Priest? WHY?!?!?!?! This card is stupid. Fuck Blizzard is dumb.
Stop comparing cards between classes. Class cards are not comparable, because they are built around specific strengths and weaknesses of each class. There is absolutely zero point in comparing Entomb with Recycle. Apples and oranges.
The more I think about this card, the less I like it. I think it's just too slow and I don't feel it will be played any more than Recycle is right now.
Let's compare this card to our other 6 mana removal, Holy Fire. Holy Fire takes anything out with 5 health or less and restores us for 5. It can also target face and be buffed by +Spell Damage. So, for this card to be included over Holy Fire, the target has to have 6 or more health. Okay, that's not too uncommon.
However, now let's compare this to our other removals, like Shadow Word: Death. Anything with 5 or more attack and this card is far inferior. So the primary targets will likely have 4 attack or less with a lot of health. Anything weaker than what's been pointed out and it wouldn't be worth investing 6 mana to remove and many of the eligible targets could just as easily be taken out by Shadow Word: Pain as well. This really narrows down the list of eligible targets that would warrant including Entomb over the other removals.
Best targets would have to be high health low attack minions, preferably at 4 attack or less. The only somewhat reliable target for this card in today's meta is probably Ysera. While it's true the meta will change but I'm not sure it will make a difference here.
Overall, I say this is a very bad card and even though it's strictly better than Recycle, that's not saying much. Kind of like saying dog crap is better than cow crap. At the end of the day, they're both still crap.
Hello? Deathrattles? Remove a Highmane off the board, ignore it's deathrattle, and I get to draw a Highmane later on? Hello? do you even play this game? Have you ever been in situations where you have to shadow word: death a highmane only to get overwhelmed by the 2/2s and lose the game? If this has never happened to you, then you simply don't play this game often enough and thus we have no reason to pay any attention to your opinion, since it is uneducated and based on a falty, inexperienced perception. Good day sir.

Stop saying we can't compare the quality of cards between classes.
Damage spells: ALL pretty much in line with eachother between classes.
Minions: ALL pretty much in line with eachother, and there is no discerning stat differences between classes.
Because of the extremely strict spell damage and minion stats system, where classes are 1 point per mana in range of eachother, spells have to be in line with each other in order to be playable. Or you will just play a minion or damage spell instead.
... Yeah. No: The damage spell numbers, card draw numbers and minion stats all tell the story of a game where you definitely CAN compare spells between classes, and expect less than a 0.5 to 1 mana difference for the same effect.
And this is an instant 1 of in all priest decks. Purely for the BM factor. The BM factor is the second leading win condition for priest.

I think Entomb just might replace Mind Control. Sure, the swing you get from Mind Control is immense, but so many games are over before you get to play it anyway, whereas with Entomb you have most of the same effect available to you at an earlier point of time, which is always good.
I can't wait to give it a try! It might be what Convert turned out not to be at all (I gave that a chance too).
This card can only see play in fatigue priest. Otherwise it sucks gargantuan balls. In what world do people here think that any class can spend their entire turn 6 removing one minion? The meta will still be filled with aggro. You can't just spend 6 mana removing one minion. Yes, the card is good in control matchups that might go to fatigue, but that rarely happens
How about the world of Mysterious Challenger, Emperor Thaurissan and Sylvanas?
Why do you people judge a card by the meta? Seriously, why, why, why?

Also, can you tell me a better way to remove a shredder ? Would you rather mind control or entomb it ? I'd go for entomb but that's just me.
You're saying this card is only good in control matchups, but entomb is faster than MC (which is made for control matchups), so better for aggro/midrange matchups.
Oh mate, turn 6 entomb a Savannah Highmane. Can't wait to pull that off

Nooo...this REMOVES a card of their and just adds it to your deck. No different than convert + death, instead it goes in your deck. It isn't inhibiting the opponent from their plan in ways they literally can't control (like discarding cards from their deck or their hand from a process YOU started).
Adding things to an opponent is different (ambush, burrowing mine, that new priest card excavated evil). However a HARD takeaway of options they already have is against the design philosophy. Loatheb fits because he's a relatively soft limit and only works for 1 turn.

Haven't read through all the stuff but what people should consider is that this card doesn't kill the target minion. Which means you remove a card without triggering the deathrattle or secrets. The problem still remains that after you opponent plays dr.6 and you remove him, you wasted your entire turn to do so. Then they follow up with a second or Dr.7. Not to mention their remaining board.
Which means you have to establish a board and have this as an answer to the doctors.

Another card that helps fatigue decks! That seems to be the theme this expansion! LOVE it!

Imagine some kind of fatigue priest, and when your opponent plays their last minions, just use Entomb? Sounds pretty good to my ears :p
SOMEDAY, I WILL HIT LEGEND 1.
Oh look! You dropped a Sylvanas. Gimme dat!
can i have that ysera pls? Thank you. I already love it. 1x for sure in my control priest.
