Trying to decide which golden legendary to craft next. On the one hand, I want to craft a new legendary, instead of crafting a golden version of a legendary I already own. On the other hand, I want to craft them in order of usefulness, because it takes such a long time to collect them. I have most of the good neutral legendaries like Boom, Sylvanas, Emperor, Loatheb, Rag, Alex, Ysera and Harrison so that's why these are my best options.
I want to craft Leeroy Jenkins because I play a lot of Face Hunter on ladder. Leeroy would be put to good use and he's one of my favorite legendaries in the game. His downside is that I can only really use him in one deck. I would disenchant my normal version for it.
I want to craft Bloodmage Thalnos because he has been one of the best legendaries in the game from day one. I don't play a lot of Freeze Mage or Rogue, but it's definitely a card I'd like to own at some point. I would disenchant my normal version for it.
I want to craft Tirion Fordring because it's the best legendary in the game. I play Paladin, so he would be a nice addition. I do, however, prefer crafting a neutral legendary over a class legendary. I would disenchant my normal version for it.
I want to craft Chillmaw because I don't have her and she looks really good. The problem is, I don't need her because I never play dragon decks. Perhaps in the future though. Should I craft her now? Or wait? It's probably the best neutral legendary I don't already own.
I added a poll. I'd like to hear your opinions on this as I can't seem to decide on my own. If you choose other, please post your explanation.
Because I'm a collector. I also own most of the cards in non-golden so I've come at the point where I save up my dust for golden cards. And because I don't want to pull duplicates from packs I work my way down from the top.
On the one hand, the most reasonable thing in this case would be to craft a Legendary that you don't own already. You have a golden Legendary and you get a new Card to Play with. And chillmaw can be pretty useful.
On the other hand, I am uncertain whether I consider crafting a golden legendary without having a full collection reasonable at all. But who am I to judge, and since you likely want to play with your golden card, maybe you should go for the legendary you use the most...
why would you ever craft a golden legendary and not craft a new instead, or for that matter 4 epics? personally i don't see the point in having any golden cards except maybe if i get one in a pack and i don't need anything else with that rarity, but maybe that's just me
My reasoning is that in time I will pull the missing trash epics and legendaries from packs. But I probably won't pull the golden ones. So I've decided to start upgrading early. It's not only from a collector's point of view. I really like the animations and I like playing with them.
Then it's between Leeroy and Tirion. I play with Leeroy the most, but Tirion is Tirion. Leeroy is just as restrictive as Tirion is so it's close. Still not sure.
even if you already own these legendaries with the standard art, you're basically getting 1 legendary for the cost of 2, that's questionable. imo i rather craft chillmaw or thalnos. thalnos can be used in a huge array of decks, same with chillmaw, if you want to try dragon decks. dragon decks, i think, are currently very good (with priest, mage, warrior and even rogue). all of these 4 are very consistent for me with high win rates. give it a try :)
I have decided to go with Tirion. Although crafting Chillmaw would be nice and give me a new card to play with, I believe I should go with Tirion because I use him in my paladin deck and he looks amazing. He's also going to remain a staple legendary in the years to come. The fact that the poll's results are so one sided made my decision that much easier.

Why would you want to craft a golden legendary?
My custom Expansion: Wrath of The Lich King
"In this world some people born are like keys that move the world and exist having no connection to the social hierarchy established by man."

How about crafting a golden Alexstrasza or golden Dr. Boom? Or do you own them in gold already?
There is a lot of steak here...
Yeah, I have both Boom and Alex already.
