It's probably been asked a gazillion times, but what would you say are the most useful giants in general? Or which ones do you think work best for specific heroes? I had all of them, but dusted some to help toward crafting legends. Right now I only have the molten giant, I thought it was the best one, am I wrong?
I put Sea Giant on top because its doesn't matter who's dominating the board, the cost goes down. The enemy having that one to many minions could be the start of a great play. The other two I just find more situation based and differ on deck styles while Sea Giant is the most universal. By the time you are able to play Molten, it might be to late, and by the time you draw Mountain, you may not have a big enough hand for the cost decrease to matter.
Pretty much what lahs said. Sea giant can be useful in any class whereas the molten giant is most useful in weapon classes and warlocks (because they reduce their health by themselves). Also the sea giant is playable in every game (provided it makes it past turn 10). If you're in the lead and have high hp a molten giant is a dead card (granted in that situation it doesn't really matter) and in top deck wars a mountain giant is a horrible draw.
Sea Giant is great as it's one of the few cards that can swing a bad board back into your favor. A cheap giant combined with Sunfury Protector can save you handily. Plus it's the only giant that is naturally playable without invoking its card text.
Mountain Giant can be awesome for early game rushing. Getting a giant out around turn 4/5 is pretty devastating. The problem is that late game this card becomes difficult to impossible to play as you must have at least two other cards in your hand.
Molten Giant has some potential for swinging the game just like the Sea Giant but faces the problem of requiring your health to be low. Against some classes you could still be dead (Mage!) and even then it could still be too late. Plus it is impossible to play until you are at least at 20 health making it a poor card when things are going your way.
Moved this to Card Discussion where it belongs. :)
Thanks, but as it wasn't about one card in particular, but 3, I wasn't sure ;)
I think I will switch to Sea Giant over Molten, it makes sense going on the posts here. I kind of thought as much, as Molten just never works out for me.

Good luck! I also want to mention that while Sea Giant is the best giant it's also the one most comparable to other cards high value. This is why it's kind of rare in constructed decks as while it's good - Ragnaros the Firelord is better in almost all situations. Mountain Giant and Molten Giant work well in decks that take advantage of their gimmick and so show up more often. Amongst the giants though Sea Giant is best giant.
What characters would suit the sea giant best? Thinking Paladin and Shaman would make good use of him, with the totems and Silver Hand Recruit adding minions to the board
It's interesting to see the consensus #1 being Sea Giant considering how rarely it's seen in Constructed. The only decks I've seen attempt to run him are Hunters who combo him with UTH. I feel that since minions in Constructed are usually removed right away that you're practically forced to try and use a combo to play Sea Giant in one turn (Hunters). If you don't have a combo, he'll most likely sit in your hand while you try and play minions to gain back board control. If you don't have board control and your opponent is flooding his side with minions, playing Sea Giant won't make a difference since you're likely already way behind.

I mentioned this earlier but the issue with Sea Giant isn't the giant itself - it's that things like Ysera, Alexstrasza and Ragnaros the Firelord exist. Given the opportunity to pick big scary end game minions you'll usually gravitate towards the very best over what's just pretty good.
Conversely you do see a lot of Mountain Giant and Molten Giant because of their gimmicks which cannot be replicated by other cards. If you are playing a giants warlock you can replace Alexstrasza or Lord Jaraxxus with Sea Giant and still have the deck function the same. They're interchangeable - but you can't replace the Mountain Giant and Molten Giant cards without breaking the deck.
Wow. This is just wrong. Alexstrasza and Jaraxxus reset your life total to 15 which the deck needs to stabilize after dropping the Giants. Sea Giant doesn't do this.

Obviously it doesn't - but it is interchangeable as just a big drop which if you don't have Alexstrasza or Lord Jaraxxus the Sea Giant becomes a good substitute. In fact in most decks that run big late game legendaries you can usually replace them with Sea Giant and do alright.
I run molten giants in my paladin deck because of the healing the class offers it can sometimes catch people off guard. Never thought about trying sea giants, although he is the only giant I do not have 2 of. Though I do have enough to craft a 2nd....
Should have enough dust to get the Sea Giant today see how it goes. I was going to get rid of molten to speed it up, but I think that might be worth keeping also. I don't think the Mountain Giant would suit me personally, as I'm always running low on cards in hand.
Sorry, TruePoindexter, but Brioz is right. Sea Giant is not a suitable replacement to Alexstrasza or Lord Jaraxxus in typical giants warlock.

Just replacing a vital function card with Sea Giant doesn't work. Now, if you wanted to say you could replace any big late game legendary with Loot Hoarder and do all right, well - sure, you *could* do all right. But there's a reason one card goes in a deck and not another.

If you find my posts to be rude, objectionable, or whatever, well, I got tired of writing polite TL; DR (Too Long, Didn't Read) posts at crybaby whiners. So now I just make it short and nasty.
If you find that funny, well and good. If you find that sad, that's even better.
In Druid token, Sea Giant's a target for Big Game Hunter and Faceless Manipulator (which otherwise are pretty dead cards) plus Sea Giant doesn't attack the turn it's summoned. Since your focus is on protecting your token generators and generating tokens, and getting synergies off tokens, Sea Giant doesn't do a lot. If you're winning by a lot, Sea Giant shows up for the free beer; if you're losing by a lot, Sea Giant sulks in your hand and won't come out to do any work. Obviously you want a timely Savage Roar or Force of Nature, over Sea Giant, but really, even a timely Swipe or Claw is hard to sub out.

The giants for quick reference:
Molten Giant
Sea Giant
Mountain Giant
Cheers.
Id say 1Sea Giant
2Molten Giant
3Mountain Giant

Sounds logical enough. I have found that by the time I play Molten, I'm in deep trouble anyhow! Might consider the Sea giant.

For me it goes Sea Giant, Mountain Giant, Molten Giant.

Perhaps this explains why the only Giant I am missing is the Sea Giant. *BlizzardConspiracy*
I like Sea Giant I own one, but I have never seen one played apart from arena.
