IMO Mysterious Challenger is a card that makes shine the poor secrects of the paladin. If you want to set 6, 8 or 10 slots of your deck with 1 mana spells, and you want that your topdecks will be so horrible is your decision. In exchange you will have a really good combo when you play the Mysterious Challenger. The problem is not the Mysterious Challenger, but, what's up when you have not a problem when you flood the board with low cost cards because you have Divine Favor?
Thats my point. The problem with that deck is Divine Favor. I know that not all list run 1 or 2 Divine Favor. The midranges versions not run but, that versions are slow and you can pick your responses 1 or 2 turns later, and you are not dead like when you face and agro version of the deck. IMO the problem with secret paly isnt theMysterious Challenger, is the Divine Favor.
Same with Frothing Berserker, is a really good card, and well balanced, the problem is the Warsong Commander, that gives charge to it, and then makes it able to oneshot 30 hp.
After that, what do you guys think about nerf that type of "OP" cards? i think that if they change the Divine Favor, we meaby stop seeing 2/3 games a aggro secret pala flooding the board and refilling his hand.
i do agree, if i have my way, warsong commander would be a 3/2 for 4. and divine favor would have something like "you can only play this card if it's the first card you play this turn."
There are no OP cards, mysterious challenger is mediocre at best since you fill your deck with garbage secrets for 1 mana. Look at all the pre-TGT player analysis of the cards, pretty much every one except maybe amaz and strife cro said Challenger was bad, the other 2 said it has potential. Paladin is not over pwoered and secret paladin doesn't need a nerf. Also factoring the deck has a high skill ceiling you'd only decimate the deck as it's struggling at the moment to compete in the meta. It's slightly on the strong side but paladin is far from overpowered.
Most of the time there are easy counters to the "OP" decks like specific cards you could tech to counter or just change your play style for that one deck to win.
I think myst challengers decks are far too easy to play. Aggro pally and facehunter both require far more piloting decisions to maximize in efficiency, and they're not exactly brain teasers to begin with.
I'm actually open to the possibility of a simple bot doing a "play cards by this order of priority" heuristic could reach upper ranks 5 easily with an aggro secret deck. I don't think any other deck could do this.
Mysterious Challenger can sometimes get out of control, when he pulls the whole christmas tree. It's true that if Divine Favor didn't exist the secret pally deck would be nigh unplayable, but i believe that if any nerf was needed, that would be to put a limit on the amount of secrets that can get pulled. If Dr.6 could only pull up to 3 secrets, the deck would still be viable, but less swingy. That being said, i'm not convinced yet that the deck does need a nerf.
As for the Patron Warrior deck, in my opinion the real offender is Emperor Thaurissan. The deck itself is a good and difficult combo deck with strengths and weaknesses, but it's the Emperor that not only allows it to be completely unpredictable, but also makes crazy 80-damage turns possible, essentially giving it inevitability when facing control decks.
I really don't understand the arguments about not nerfing warsong because she wasn't op and it's only the combination of cards that works good, and the same goes when some nerf to frothing it's proposed (like change him in "whenever a friendly minion take damage.."). I mean, i honestly don't think that Leeroy for 4 mana was op outside the miracle rogue combo, but he was nerfed because of the combo possibility, then why it's so strange or atrocious to do some little nerf to commander/frothing because of the absurd otk combo?
Hi guys, first of all, sorry from my bad English. Im Spanish.
All time i read a thread that says "Mysterious Challenger is OP" or "Frothing Berserker is OP" , that says that they need a nerf, it makes me sad.

There are no OP cards .... just good players ;)
I do not study the DIVINE to imitate what they do

There are no problems, only solutions you haven't found yet.

I would make both OP cards cost 4 mana. Divine favor punishes your own card draw and it's a reason I cut out Azure drakes from my priest.
