Just make him a 5/7 or give the flames charge. Either change would work.

Yeah both would be great for rogues especially.

If you see a post that you find objectionable, report it, it helps keep the forum clean. But be aware people are allowed a lot of latitude.
If you find my posts to be rude, objectionable, or whatever, well, I got tired of writing polite TL; DR (Too Long, Didn't Read) posts at crybaby whiners. So now I just make it short and nasty.
If you find that funny, well and good. If you find that sad, that's even better.
Blizzard wouldnt give the flames charge, it would turn into another rogue OTK deck. You could preparation, eviscerate, cold blood, use a flame to attack and shadow step it and then attack again with it which creates two more flames. Theres a lot of combo cards which would make it really strong
I've been using him in a miracle rogue deck with little success. I've tried to use him as a late finisher if I had to use all my spells to maintain board control and Leeroy won't be enough.
It was fun when it worked, but generally it looked like this whenever I played him:
Play turn 7 Illidan Stormrage, use Conceal, or coin into it on turn 6. Leaves you with Illidan and a Flame of Azzinoth. Now what will you do? Your opponent will either cast something like Flamestrike and a spellpower minion right away and get rid of them, but everybody knows that's not important. He just has to drop a big taunt minion, because each flame Illidan will create on your next turn will be exhausted and unable to attack anyway. So that leaves you with just enough damage to trade for an Ironbark Protector or really any 4-8 mana taunt drop. After that turn he will happily wipe your full board with a 1dmg AOE spell and kill Illidan with a regular nuke or just spellpower Swipe. Whatever. That's it.
I've also played him in Hunter decks with mediocre success. He can kinda turn a game around when played with Unleash the Hounds and another 2-drop on turn 10 to quickly fill the board and gain momentum. But then again: One AOE spell and you are done.
Have to try him in a mage deck, yet. Might work rather well if you can protect him with an early Counterspell.
I just find the Flames of Azzinoth way too easy to handle. Giving them charge would be obviously broken, but I'd say make them 2/2 at least. Or 1/1 Divine Shield.
He rarely gets to do his thang as most legendaries do. He gets killed. The reason why other legendaries top him usually.is that they have an immediate effect if not sheeped or hexed. Ysera nets you a card to replace her..plus 12 health is huge. Sylvanas nets you a creature to replace her, Cairne takes a beating to get rid of 10 toughness over 2 creatures, Rag is going to do 8 damage no matter what, Grommash is gonna swing..that's why this is pretty much only 1 deck with him...and its a deck that has multiple spells that enhance ALL your creatures..and that is druid.
How often do you get to swing with your Frothing Berserker, Druid of the Claw, Unbound Elemental etc...maybe 10-20% of the time? They are just lightning rods for removal..and thats why they get played..because they need an answer...you can't say they suck because they never get to attack.
I use him in a giant lock deck with demonfire and sense demons. He is not "WTF OP P2W" like some other legendaries but he is better than other 6-drops for the deck, so.. I think he is viable.
i just think the game needs a slight balance to the legendaries, these are all hard cards to get and you wont pull any very often. and as someone mentioned before in another thread, you should be excited you get one, not disappointed because it isnt one of the other ones.

in MTG...mythics (which are pretty much Legendaries) are hit and miss too..you can't make every single card played. Think you will ever see War Golem in a Tier 10 deck?

Tier 10? There is probably a whisp/war golem deck in there ;)
But yeah, I completely agree that trying to make all cards played is an exercise in futility

I'm so glad there is prejudice against playing hunter/zoo/[insert FotM deck here]. People like that make the life so much easier for those of us who play to win.
nah i wasnt insinuating that, i just meant in most card games, every card has at least SOME utility and can be used somehow.. quite a few of these are well... bad lol.

The legendary rank 41 deck for Season 3 with Illidan was something like this.

another plausible solution would be to make his card read whenever a card is played(owner or enemy) summon a 2/1 flame.
