So most of my techs despite maybe the Kezan Mystic are just as useful in any other deck. The trick is to play a deck that can beat it easily (midrangey type of deck) and put in techs that will help. Except for face hunter The Black Knight gives me value in every matchup (thanks to all decks having a Sludge Belcher usually) and Harrison Jones is more to solidify my win against secret pally and control warrior. Silences, however you choose to put them in your deck, will always give value as long as you know how to play them, and when you should save them for a bigger card. Most of what helps me win against secret pally is knowing how to pilot against it. I still think it should be nerfed, but it is not quite as OP as you people are giving it credit for. Lowering it's body would be the only valid option in my opinion but 4/4 is too small and 6/6/ is too big, and 6/3 doesn't fit the Paladin Archetype so I believe a 5/5 body would be most beneficial to still keep secret paladins in the meta, just not the most prominent part.
I guess you play double combo druid? I can assure that not all decks can afford to play 2 or 3 cards to tech against a single deck.
Your secrets cost (0). Whenever you play a secret, draw a card.
It's a bit shocking that that is actually a nerf, as it still seems really good to me, but it reduces consistency and allows for fun interactions with other cards like Faceless Manipulator.
I can assure you I had to remove a few cards to allow myself these tech choices, and I don't play combo druid at all. I play midrange and with how popular secret paladin is, midrange is the only thing that reliably can beat it. I think it deserves a nerf but as I said, it is not as strong as people are giving it credit, if you handle the MC turn, then the rest of the game is fairly simple. Although the suggestion by BrokenCycle is I think one of the greatest ideas, it requires they have secrets in hand has some interesting plays involved.

This would be great,it would force the secretards to hold their secrets in hand and not just dump them to fill their already super strong curve, kinda like lock and load.I like this,it would make the deck interesting to play not scrub friendly.
Combo druid centers around early aggression and card draw to lower the opponent's health and then use the ridiculous combo. They run two Force of Nature and two Savage Roar. I run only one Force of Nature because my goal is to take control in the midgame and snowball with my board to victory. They are completely different decks.

so you basically play the midrange druid from 5 months ago, claiming to be something completely different ...

That's also how "combo druid" works, the combo is simply your finisher. You are simply playing a strictly worse version of the deck and claiming you are playing something different.
I assumed you knew that midrange, combo and fast druid are essentially 3 names for the same deck.
I find Mysterious Challenger a horribly designed card that makes me question the devs sometimes.
If they wanted Paladin Secrets to be viable, they should've just released multiple minions that synergies with Secrets instead of just one. Something like a minion with 'Whenever you play a Secret, draw a card' or 'Costs (2) less for each Secret you control'. Releasing a single minion that allows you to ignore the fact that you have about 8/10 Secrets in your deck is just bad.
I'd honestly be happy with a Mysterious Challenger nerf as long as they release some cards that actually synergies from PLAYING Paladin secrets instead of just having them in the deck.
But mayhaps I shoudn't worry. It's been about 3/4 moths since TGT, and a deck gets nerfed roughly around 6/7 month after a card is released anyway.

The card currently prevents new secrets from being released, so he will be fixed by the time they create a new one. When that is, ./shrug
They don't know what the fuck they are doing. They did great with LoE, maybe is a good sign of change, but still... IT'S SO EASY TO CHANGE A CARD. Go, do it. The ENTIRE community is asking for this. SOOOO LAZZZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

@ Genow24: And it was a barely playable one. Why? Because of the existence of Mysterious Challenger, Blizzard cannot reasonably create a correct secret because it becomes instantly overpowered.

if it's coming out time: me neither, in case somebody didn't notice ... btw and @sithlord: everyone in HS or at least in this forum is "the community" - this community thing must be some weird kind of federal state, I suppose...
Making it legendary is the hardest but the most proper fix in my opinion.
Everyone who already have it will get a legendary for free and those who don't they will be able to craft if for 1/4 of it's cost so yeah it's tricky.
Blizzard certainly needs to take some action, getting 2 MCs back to back it's absurd
It will surely kill the deck. It's really hard to build a consistent deck revolving a single copy of a card. I think lower stat line 5/4 or higher mana cost 7/8 is a fair way of balancing him or anything that reduces his effeciency like lower number of secrets to 2 or 3. Toshley has same statline (12) and mana cost gives you 2 cards (which are not actuall spells) and is a legendary and somewhat usable too, but he sure looks shitty compared to to Mysterious Challenger he draws you 4-5 secrets and plays them without paying for it. He gives you 10-11 mana value for 6 mana on a solid 6/6 body plus he removes those cards from your deck so that you will not draw them on the following turns. So the value you get from him for what you're paying is pretty OP.
I propose this nerf:
6/6 for 6 mana
Your secrets cost (0). Whenever you play a secret, draw a card.
