First of all i hope someday i find a postr about a competitive decks ( lets say tier 1 or 2) that someone dont hate or call it unfair, boring or autistic. :)
Second, i play all types of mage decks and, if i dont like it, think that kezan mystic is a balanced tech card aganish secrets. ¿ i like more that she destroy the secrte besides stole it? right ¿ that harrison should stole the weapon and dont draw cards? yeah. But that are personal preferences. Thay are tech cards. If you are a good player should have to live with them.
PD: Still waiting a tech card aganish ARMOR. A card that stole armor, destroys armor o bypass armor ( ill love that for example "arcane blast" read " targed minion or armored hero" But that is a personal preference. ;)

Well a reasonable armor counter, without just killing warrior would be a minion which just deals double damage to armor. Or a Flame-Elementar like creature which similar stats and mana cost which just can hit armor with it's Battlecry but for something like 6 dmg.. Everything which goes over that would just suck too much for warriors, unless other classes also get hard counters against them. (The secret counter isn't a hard counter against mage since mages could also be viable without secrets.. warriors without armor can't since it is their hero power)

Who can take your trash out? Stomp it down for you? Shake the plastic bag and do the twisty thingy, too?
yeah, you can, and doing damage with minions too ( i suppose at least ;) ) I simply state that i like ( a personal preference) that someday there will be a tech card aganish armor. That way some decks wont throw all the armor they can at one time and will reserve some in case of these tech cards. Also i ( as personal opinion also, i speak for me not in name of any comunity) hate when a deck does a shield run and ends like 18/20 armor ( with trueheard champion maybe more) in a couple of turns.

well argumented. only one thing to add. mage and Druid also have armor (druid mostly but not only in his hero power and mage in ice barrier) Even if it will affect warrior more than those two it will be a tech card not only aganish one class. Same as kezan is most punishing aganish mage for it has the most secret use but also punishes hunter and sometimes paladin
On a side note, so many people whine about Mad Scientist but the fact is that before he was introduced, secrets where almost unplayable (Except for Hunters who were already playing Explosive and Freeze Trap because they were cheap and near impossible to play around) because the loss of tempo when playing a 3 mana card (For Mage) that did nothing for you the turn it was played, combined with how easily most secrets can be played around, was too significant.
Personally, I think a better solution to make Mage secrets more viable would have been to alter Kirin Tor Mage to 'The next Secret you play costs (0)', this would mean the Mage wouldn't need it in hand at the time, making it more viable but they'd still need to actually draw it to play it rather than it just being fished out.
imo is not mad scientist... Its people dont like decks like freeze mages.. common people like aggro! "I dont like that freeze mage, all they do is just stall and then kill you in two turns." People dont realize you have to plan 5 turns ahead... they just see your alex.. they think freeze mage is as dumb as aggro
Or like miracle rogue.. in miracle rogue you had to rely on planing and topdecking so fkin much.. but topdecking was esier becouse of insane card draw :)
No, the majority of people think that freeze mage is extremly boring and annoying to fight against. Only a few plebs think that it is an easy deck but it doesn't mather how difficult it is to play. It still sucks to play against Freeze Mage. A hard to play deck can still be non-interactive for the other player, like freeze mage.

Nothing wrong with Kezan Mystic. Except when played against Mage or Hunter (and the occasional pally) it is a dead card in hand, just like a Harrison Jones against a Priest. Your opponent is taking up valuable slot space just to account for your deck. I think that that alone makes this card balanced as shit. People who complain about a card just because it is a hard counter are what makes me hate getting on these forums. "Change this because it hurts me!" Sack up and stop complaining.
I don't know why, but there's a certain kind of person drawn to 'asshole decks' in this game. Patron warrior, freeze mage, miracle rogue - the type of deck where you don't give a shit what your opponent does or plays, it's all about your own draaws and their order. You are not playing your opponent, you are playing your own luck.
When people say these deck are hard to play, what they mean is 'how good are you at not taking the bait' - your ability to just effing ignore anything your opponent does, ignore your impulse to start playing a game.
Thank god for cards like kezan mystic, that force these people to, just occasionally, react and play.
Risk: Inconvenient stats if you HAVE to play the card on an empty board in topdeck mode Reward: You instantly win the game
... Not everyone plays cancer decks, and when not playing a cancer mage deck like Freeze or Mech -- getting your Duplicate or Mirror Entity stolen by Kezan Mystic ends the game; You can just concede.
That's the problem with the blatantly OP counters like Big Game Hunter, Kezan Mystic and other cards: The game is won and lost on a 3 mana tempo advantage -- and Big Game Hunter and Kezan Mystic typically cause 6+ mana tempo swings.
kezan is not OP at all,it's a card that kills a single deck(or nearly kills it,since there's still the offside chance you win as a freeze mage after they steal your secret) and is slightly useful against maybe one or two decks.it's still extremely annoying to play against.i'm just glad most people above rank 5 know better than to run the card.
I'm playing this game since dec 2013, I have almost all cards, so I'm not an exclusive mage player, I play all classes, preferably control and midrange decks. My point is the same as with all-around popular "bgh ruins the game" thing, that Brian Kibler popularized. Harrison Jones on Doomhammer/Jaraxxus is almost an auto defeat, Kezan on Ice Block also, as TBK on Ancient of War/other big taunt.
I simply hate cards like those that outright decide the games by taking out huge tempo and value advantage, there is no strategy and smart playing there, only brutal power of one card.
I've read Brian Kibler's 'The Problem of BGH'. You, sir, are no Brian Kibler.

As a freeze mage player, I'm glad a card like Kezan Mystic exist. Yeah it's a hard counter to my deck. Yeah it sucks when my iceblock gets stolen. But it's also a card that forces freeze mage out of the meta. If everyone starts to play it, then the meta shifted a little bit and that's a good thing. Maybe everyone will be playing taunt decks then TBK will jump back into the meta. I'll go play a different deck for a while and eventually Kezan Mystic will fall out of the meta and freeze mages will come back. It's how the meta cycle works. Playing a certain tech card is part of being ahead of the meta. If you're not ahead of the meta, well that's probably one explanation for your current rank.
Honestly, if people are having problems with freeze mage. Play a card that hard counters it as well as being useful against other decks. A card like Ragnaros. Freeze mages will run for the hills if he's back in the meta.
-Establish great board on turn 2, Lowly Squire & Boneguard Lieutenant -Play Mirror Entity on turn 3 against empty board -Get Khezan Mystic'd -Deck filled with high quality minions, can't play into Mirror Entity, lose tempo -Lose -Cry

Simple solution :
- Step One : Delete Kezan Mystic.
- Step Two : Delete Mad Scientist.
- Step Three : Add more Secret-synergy cards, like Kirin Tor Mage or the new (and great) Mysterious Challenger.
- Step Four : Profit.
Sry mate but i feel 0 empathy towards freeze mage players.
From our perspective you are in the same bracket as old miracle rogue players was.
There is no empathy towards playing secret decks.
Blame mad scientist. That card is one of the worst cards in the game. If that card didn't exist there wouldn't be a need for Kezan Mystic perhaps.

True it makes it hard for a comeback, but this is typically a ONE OF card that only hits hard against TWO classes.
There is no worse feeling than having this F******* card pop up in almost EVERY game against droods, warriors, rogues, etc.
I just wanted to apologize for my rude behavior. That is all.

I just drafted a beautiful mage arena deck, and drew into a beautiful curve:
Lowly Squire (1)
Boneguard Lieutenant (2)
Mirror Entity (3)
Mechanical Yeti (4)
Cone of Cold (4)
Spiteful Smith (5)
Boulderfist Ogre (6)
Ogre Brute (3)

-Lose
