Anyone had a chance to test this guy out yet? I feel like he would go really, really well in my Token Druid, but I'm trying to hold off on crafting anything until the meta slows down.
Yeah same. He has been amazing for me. It's a huge tempo play and I pretty much always had the board. The only complaint against him is that in games where you are getting wiped he is like a dark iron dwarf which is not terrible. I also find that I ended up using his power on face more than for trading because I often had the board and there was nothing worth killing. I did have one nice game where I ended up winning on turn 5 because I was able to answer an Azure Drake with a coin Knife Juggler Gormok.
Decent card if you run two implosions and haunted creeper. Good in token druid too. Still not sure whether he is worth to keep or not. In a way, he is very similar to Sea Giant.
Much harder to have 4 minions on board AND having the card in hand on higher level.
rofl you obviously never played on "higher level" just by reading this. on any level it is easy piece of cake ot have 4 minions while playing zoolock, shaman, paladin or token druid.
i can't say how many hundred of times i have board full of 1/1s or totems (playing around rank 2) also gormokk himself is good even without the battlecry.. he works like dark iron dwarf most of the time, but a bit more flexible.
You know you're full of shit when you say its easy to have 4 or more minions on board.
Or we must not be playing the same game.
Also when you say "work like iron dwarf most of the time", you're practically implying its hard to have an attackable minion on the board.
Last I check its easier to have 1 minion on board than 4.
lmao man, really?
First, it is easy for some decks.
Second, you don't need to have already 4 minions on board to play this guy, you add some cheap stuff first (like in zoo) to the board with already let's say 2-3 minions and then play Gormok... it is not that hard... give me a break.
You don't have to play all your shit on curve, specially in decks like zoo...
TEsted it extensively in zoo. I didn't bother with other decks because zoo is the best archetype for this. I replaced imploision for it in my testing. Imploision is better. There's no space for it in zoo. The curve becomes to high if you remove a low cost card for it. Gormok to my disappointment is not worth it.

You want to create a board where you want to have MANY minions and replace IMPLOSION? Wtf dude.
Yep, great synergy with most paladin decks and it's the 4 mana card everyone is looking for in between muster for battle and quartermaster. Considering that you have a minion still surviving from turn 2, of course. Gormokk's battlecry also offers a good clear at 4 mana.

I know that this post is from two weeks ago and same people have already replied to it, but... are you serious man? Do you understand the concept of sinergy? How could you remove Imp-losion from the deck and then change it for Gormok the Impaler when both cards are supposed to work togheter to make Gormok actually good in zoo; and then, you said that Imp-losion is better than Gormok?... WTF dude, just WTF... I can't even... OMG
This + Unleash the Hounds or Imp-losion?
Don't worry guys he's got your back

So I've been able to pull off the combo a lot in zoo, pretty much all the time . What now?

Sleeper :)
Time is money, friend.
ik this card would be sleeper OP
this card and murloc knight are both sleeper OP
i play this card in midrange paladin, and its so good
My soul is painted like the wings on butterflies, the fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die. I can fly, my friends.
sleeper op? this card is absolute garbo.
reynad severely overestimate this card.
Maybe good in low ranks.
I don't see how this card is magically less good at rank 20.
The card is by no means OP, for that it would have to had no requirement. As it is it's a situational card with a great upside and little downside.
Much harder to have 4 minions on board AND having the card in hand on higher level.
You're funny

Well he was played twice today in team legue, both times underwhelming i would say.
He's easy to play in the right sort of deck. Zoo runs cards like Argent Squire, Nerubian Egg, Haunted Creeper, Imp Gang Boss, Imp-losion. I'd even go as far to say that he is easy to play on curve, especially when you have the coin.
