Oh dear god, this card was designed for my deck (Cling to life Paladin with many high cost minions, my lowest minions are 3 mana, and I have three of those).
I am definitely going to run this guy IN ADDITION to Healbot to add to my health pool.
Wow, more conditional Card for Paladin... As a class Card, this pretty underwhelming. Shieldmaiden is better, even if it costs 1 more. Unconditional, stackable Effect, even when you are at your full health.
Could only see play in Control Pally with heavy Minions otherwise not. Crap Card.
A card suiting one archetype does not make it a bad card. This is by no means "crap" whatsoever. I think it's being overvalued somewhat, but it's certainly not bad.
Ok i agree, saying crap was too much, but its a card that relies on your enemys deck and your luck of rng. And when you want to play Heal Cards you do not play it for its stats but for the heal. So even if there is a slight chance too miss the heal, its wasted mana and most of the times wasted turn.
This is nowhere a Card which Paladin needs. Paladin needs good on-Curve Cards.
This also competes with other 5 Drop Cards such as Belcher, Healbot, Quartermaster, Azure Drake, Loatheb, Harrison which all are unconditional(beside Quartermaster, Harrrison) and give instant Value and doesnt rely on your and your enemies RNG.
So compared to these Cards and as already mentioned Shieldmaiden, its a very underwhelming Card. Never do RNG-Battles.
This is a card meant to beat aggressive decks. A 5/5 is better than Antique Healbot and against Face Hunter you're almost guaranteed a heal since the biggest thing they could get is Wolfrider or Arcane Golem and you would have to get a Knife Juggler or Shielded Minibot. And if you're up against a control deck, it doesn't matter if you dont get the heal because you're probably already at high health. Even against a control deck this card is good because it gives you information about their hand even if it misses the Joust. Most non-aggro Paladins already run Antique Healbot so it doesn't even have any competition. This beats it out 100%.
Every deck runs plenty of 2 and 1 drops. Druid has the least, but Druid still needs low drops to deal with mirror entity, and then there is the new wild growth autoinclude minion.
Sure, people will resort to statistics, saying how most of the time it makes opponent angry, but the fact is YOU WILL LOSE GAMES BECAUSE YOU WILL GET A 2 DROP, AND YOUR OPPONENT WILL GET A LEEROY.
As a face hunter, I approve of a heal that recoils back at the cheater playing it.
I think this will be in all control paladin decks. Its has great stats even if you dont get the effect off.
Edit: Also I think people are underestimating the joust mechanic also. This gives information on a minion NOT in your opponents hand. Facing a Pattron warrior and Emperor comes out? That is highly valued info
Very solid card - and incidentally, generally when you actually need the heal (against rushier decks), you'll almost surely have the odds in your favour.
We know how solid 5/5 for 5 is, so hopefully this card can help slow the meta down a bit.
Are you sure it's neutral? Cuz it kinda looks like a paladin class card..
For the first few hours on the site they had it listed as a neutral, so the first few pages might be people thinking it is neutral. I sure thought it was.
Now that it is a Paladin card though, seems.... risky. Paladin generally doesn't like playing RNG cards.
TBH Paladin deserved a heal that was better than Antique Healbot, and that's where my problem with this card comes in. If you get the RNG to work it will be better than Antique Healbot, but if you miss on the RNG text, it will be much worse. Paladin invented the Battlecry: Heal hero text. They deserve to have the best hero heal on a minion. Antique Healbot creeped out the Guardian of Kings, and Paladin deserves the creep to take it back. Antique Healbot, a neutral, is still better. UNFORTUNATE.
TBH it really seems like Tuskarr Jouster should have additional stats or remove the RNG component. Simiilar to Master Jouster's problem: too much of the value of the card is put on a RNG roll. If Master Jouster only had the Divine Shield on RNG roll and Taunt was guaranteed, it would be much, much better and similarly, if only half of the Tuskarr Jouster text was on RNG it would be more appropriate, such as heal 4 guaranteed and heal 4 more based on the RNG roll.
With so many cards seeming to be 1-2 stats under or missing something, it might be a sign Boom and PShredder will get nerfs. Eadric the Pure seems like a pretty good card, I like it alot, but like with most of the cards from this set, it really feels like it could have 1-2 more stats to be balanced. 4/8 is completely fine in a world where Boom exists. I mean even if Eadric was 4/8, Boom would still be stronger, and this is a recently released, 7 mana class card. We all know class cards are supposed to be stronger than their neutral counterparts. So if Eadric the Pure stats are a 3/7 and Boom doesn't get nerfed, well that's just messed up. Blizz got some 'splainin to do.
I find this card horrible. If you need healing, a -chance- to heal 7 is ridiculously bad.
I do not like Jousting. Its a terrible mechanic. Roll the wrong card and lose the game, is essentially what it says. But thats when its against fast decks. Those techs are so bad against slower decks its fucking laughable. Have fun trying to heal for 7 against a Druid. Guess that combo will get you.
Those cards are honestly ridiculous. You CANNOT rely on it. It can ALWAYS fail. Its never CLOSE to guaranteed. How can THAT be good?
At least this one has decent stats, but thats not saying much.

5/5 for 5 is still great and your opponent has to trade his minions to deal with this, its a perfect control deck card mark my words. shield maiden doesnt do much against druid eather half the time, you got other cards in your deck for that like equality. this card will help you survive to the late game against aggro decks, and still has a solid body against other control decks.
If you think the card is horrible because of rng maybe you need to reevaluate piloted shredder and recombobulator. How good this card is depends on the % chance the heal goes off. If this card went off over 70% of the time like you said that would be insane and massively increase paladin winrate over face hunter. Any card that increases your overall winrate is a good card, so just because rng exists on the card doesn't make it bad (see rag sylvanas dr.boom). Also paladin does not have a higher value heal than this card. Holy light, guardian of kings and lay on hands are all over costed compared to this card.
Ok that makes more sense :)
... Does this seem underpriced to anyone else? Cool mechanic, but when it fires it is going to singlehandedly kill early leads. ):

They're clearly trying to slow down the meta and weaken the power of things like Face Hunter.
I'm more than okay with that.
Its a paladin card.
Favorite Art of the set for me so far.

Yeah, I was thinking that a 5/5 for 5 on top of the effect seems a bit much. The stats seem like they should be more around the 4/4 range.
It will be great in holy wrath paladin deck :D
Three words, guys:
Holy
Wrath
Paladin
No one wants to joust the Molten Giant!
I don't know how to feel about this.

The color suggests it's a pally card. Am I wrong?
