Seems bad? Well you didnt got the Heal on your hero, but at least you know the Kill Command isnt in your opponents hand, which could be useful information. But i dont know. This mechanic might turn out too strong. And i dont like the reveal x card mechanic. History tells us that people dont like it when someone look in their cards, decks. Its just natural.
So dumb. This might have been a really interesting neutral card to slow down the meta. As it is Paladin already have plenty of heals, and better / more reliable ones.
Trolden is doing to be shooting blanks for months when this expansion rolls out. Wilfred Fizzlebang, Nexus-Champion Saraad, Lock and Load, Effigy, Tuskar Totemic and Spellflinger seemed like lots of fun RNG but sure, lets add Burgle and Jousting cards too!
Wow, more conditional Card for Paladin... As a class Card, this pretty underwhelming. Shieldmaiden is better, even if it costs 1 more. Unconditional, stackable Effect, even when you are at your full health.
Could only see play in Control Pally with heavy Minions otherwise not. Crap Card.
A card suiting one archetype does not make it a bad card. This is by no means "crap" whatsoever. I think it's being overvalued somewhat, but it's certainly not bad.
With all these new "Jousters".. I am curious what a jouster even is.. I am German and dict.cc doesn't know either.. maybe someone could elaborate.
A jouster is a dude with a lance on a horse trying to kill the other dude on a horse with his lance, they often wore other shorter weapons as well for combat when falled off or leaving the horse. This however was combat for entertainment for for actually war, since it was really slow and the "reload" time for each new charge would take a minute or two. If you've seen that movie " A knight's tale" it would be about jousting, here's also a video about it:
On topic though i'd say that this card would be slightly better than antique healbot since if you'd get the lower card then you have no use of the heal and still gets a great body compared to that 3/3 healbot, hence i will start playing this card instead of healbot from now on.
I don't believe the goal was ever to kill the other man, just to knock him off his horse. People did die, but I don't think it was the point.

Ok i agree, saying crap was too much, but its a card that relies on your enemys deck and your luck of rng. And when you want to play Heal Cards you do not play it for its stats but for the heal. So even if there is a slight chance too miss the heal, its wasted mana and most of the times wasted turn.
This is nowhere a Card which Paladin needs. Paladin needs good on-Curve Cards.
This also competes with other 5 Drop Cards such as Belcher, Healbot, Quartermaster, Azure Drake, Loatheb, Harrison which all are unconditional(beside Quartermaster, Harrrison) and give instant Value and doesnt rely on your and your enemies RNG.
So compared to these Cards and as already mentioned Shieldmaiden, its a very underwhelming Card. Never do RNG-Battles.
Oh I agree with most of that, the card absolutely won't see play because it's just too situational. It might start to see use if the meta becomes hyper aggressive but that's the only time I can imagine it happening.
here is my opinion: Do not try to treat it as a healing only. Say, you are playing against agro deck (face hunter), you may become 15-20 in turn 5. Of course, you do not heal immediately. But, playing it as a solid 5 drop, you can keep the board and may get 7 health. That is great. So, there is definitely a room for it in a control paladin, which is not a thing now.
It's a perfect minion for midrange tactics. A 5/5 needs to be dealt with against control and it will probably net you 7 life against aggro. I'll definitely run him.
Plus the illustration is so good that you can't leave him out of the deck. I mean he is riding a Snapjaw.

cheap minions =/= aggressive meta.
Even Wallet Warrior usually runs 6-8 minions which cost 3 or less and around 8-10 minions which cost 4 or more. With Tempo mage it's almost 50% 3-or-less mana. Midrange hunter has over 50% 3-mana minions. I don't even want to start anylising Face Hunter, Mech Mage and ZOO. There will always be plenty of cheap minions all over the place, even if the meta slows down. And to be honest I can't imagine people would suddenly drop cancer decks with high winrates, because the meta won't slow down all that much simply in the face of a jousting mechanic. So, every now and again, the Joustadin will be able to take advantage of a cheap/aggro meta.
This card has potential. And lots of it. But only if you think about it in terms of statistics and laddering. While obviously a lot of the times you'll die, because you lost a joust, but, if your life depended on 7 health while a solid 5 drop did nothing to avert the situation, you were probably going to lose anyway. However, most of the time, a losing joust will simply mean a 5/5 on the board and a winning joust will seal your victory or possibly turn an unfavourable situation into a victory.
I'm gonna go ahead and say that in favourable aggro matchups you're going to win a joust 70% of the time. And in control matchups - 30% of the time. That being said, against most control decks you don't really need tons of healing, Lay on Hands usually will suffice. What you WILL need however is a minion that's gonna kill Sludge Belcher (check), trade with Sylvanas (Check), kill Thaurissan (Check) or kill Shieldmaiden (Check).
I think of this card as a 5/5 - battlecry: "50% chance to defeat aggro". If there's 30% aggro in ladder then this card is +15% to your winrate. You simply have to build a decent deck around it.
Why are we talking about how good this card will be in decks other than paladin ? Isn't it a paladin class card ?
Yeah, but it was only recently revealed to be a Paladin only card. People originally thought it was neutral.
Anyway, this card is a perfect replacement for Healbot. The 5/5 means you can play this on turn 5 and not feel terrible, and you'll have an 80% chance to win the joust against aggro.

wtf, this is only a paladin card.
Play Spellbreaker instead of owl.
Coldarra Drake
Isn't this supposed to be paladin specific https://bnetcmsus-a.akamaihd.net/cms/gallery/sd/SDZAFZOL8OT11438640004073.jpg or is that an error.
yes its a paladin card wich makes this an awsome 5 drop, this should be a auto include to paladin control simular to shield maiden for warrior.

Cheaper Guardian of Kings that might fizzle...Still like it...
I prefer Guardian of Kings over Antique Healbot but now with Tuskarr Jouster there's some real competition.

Wait...this is a Paladin card? That's disappointing.
Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.

Rise of the Fatigue Paladin. Expect super long and dragged out paladin match ups in TGT between this and Eadric.

If weren't a paladin only card
