I have a tradition of crafting golden versions of my favourite single card for each expansion upon announcement.
Sludge Belcher - Shieldmaiden - Emperor
I'm on a pretty good streak so far I think, and so far, Darnassus Aspirant is my gold choice for GT. THIS IS BASICALLY A SURE THING. Sort of. Not really. Shaddap.
I like, too bad its not a beast though. Along with funny shredder moments this will make your opponent think twice about playing mind control tech, especially relevant in arena :-)
On turn 10 it's a 2/3, draw a card, lose a mana if it is killed. This is vastly different than novice engineer, which can draw a card on turns 1-9. So yes, it is very possible that this is the case and you do get a card on turn 10. Stop being so delusional and ignorant.
Not to argue whether it will draw a card, but simply to point out that "lose a mana if it is killed" is not a drawback. You do realise that if you go to 9 mana, you go back to 10, right?
Could be really solid. At worst it's a plain vanilla 2 2/3, at best it's a wild growth for free for a couple of turns. I'm assuming you can use the mana crystal it gives you immediately, so you could turn two play this then coin wild growth?
This synergizes extremely well with Taunt-giving and buff cards. This is a card that your opponent REALLY does not want to Silence, so it is the ideal target for cards like Mark of the Wild and potentially Mark of Nature
Really awesome card. Lots of possibilites with Silence. Even if you can't silence it, it basically forces removal from your opponent. and If your opponent can't kill it, the value gain is actually insane. This could complement or even replace Wild Growth in a lot of decks.
I also like that this is a bit of a hidden nerf for Piloted Shredder.
For example, against Face Hunter, when you coin this out on turn 2, it threaten to kill your opponent's Mad Scientist for free and have 4 mana to play Keeper of the Grove (to silence Mad Scientist or kill Knife Juggler. The best part is that the only answer current Face Hunter deck has is Quick Shot. If Hunter doesn't have it, then he probably just lost the game.
you know, even if you lose it on their turn, its not bad.... I mean, you play it turn 2, you get a crystal, they sent a dood into it and trade you are still on turn 2, they sent a removal to its face, even better, now they are tapped out for the turn and you take a tad of damage early game......
however, any time from turn 3 to 8ish, this card kinda blows.....
this not only would be played in ramp druid but also might introduce a tempo druid built.....
People suggesting this replaces Wild Growth are a bit daft - because it definitely definitely doesn't. It can however be used in conjunction with it as another ramp option - the only problem is, what do you drop? I don't think there's enough room in combo/ramp druid to put in 2 copies of this AND 2 Brewmasters or Wailings (unless your whole deck is a silence deck, Watchers etc.). So you just play this, and drop...something.

It's not a River Crocolisk. No one feels compelled to remove a River Crocolisk from the board ASAP. This card baits removal.
combo whit Youthful Brewmaster maybe see some play i dont know
Druid plays Darnassus Aspirant
Mage triggers Mirror Entity -> spawns Darnassus Aspirant
Druid kills Darnassus Aspirant,
Mage triggers Effigy -> spawns Darnassus Aspirant #2
Druid kills Darnassus Aspirant,
Mage is 2 mana behind.
This is almost as dangerous as a Mechwarper really, but only for early game.
Still, demands instant removal.
Legend Rogue, druid when lazy

Ibn Fahd.

definitely gonna make a deck with this and Baron Rivendare
Finally an answer to replacement to wild growth. Druid now has solid turn 2 play.
This card has a lot of potential against aggro.

Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.

Mirror mages are gonna cry getting this minion ;)
not really, i run mine with recombulator just in case shit happens
Just cut zombie show when meta is control but 1 Darnassus aspirant and 1 recombobulator.
You know recombobulator has a really good value in Druid :
Keeper of the grove, Ancient of Lore, BGH, Sometimes Kezan Mystic !
Trump said that it might be worth using 2 copies of this card in conjunction with Innervate and Wild Growth in order to ramp up more consistently.
What's your take on this?
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.

Turn 1, Zombie Chow, Turn 2 kill the 3/2 drop Darnassus Aspirant, Turn 3 4 drop or two drop + Wild Growth
Great card in my opinion.
No more Zombie Chow in Ramp Druid deck.
Best scenario vs aggro: Turn 2 Darnassus Aspirant Turn 3 Wild Growth + Hero Power or smth. else
