In order to measure of strong a bad card is you need to think about them in the best case scenario and in the worst case scenario.
Let's say that you play Flame Imp in turn 1, then follow with Demonfuse in turn 2 and get a 6/5 out of it and your oponnent has to play with 3 mana something that can contest it, sadly spider tank and the like won't get even close and your oponent will probably have to use 2 cards to kill it. However a 2 for 2 trade and a mana crystal is not a trade you want from a tempo card (maybe for an aggro card). In top of that your oponent could always have a hard removal like Executeor Shadow Word: Death or silence to get a 2x1, this is a abd outcome.
Let's say that you coin Mistress of Pain in turn 1 and then play Demonfuse on turn 2, you get a 4/7 which is a pretty strong play, minions with 4 attack are really hard to remove and the 7 health makes sure you trade for a least 2 minions before it dies, sadly the healing effect from the mistress won't matter because using tap in turn 3 is kind of slow. Once again the outcome is bad
Finally I think this card is more suited to be played in lategame has a finisher, the idea is that you play a sticky demon on the board, then you play Emperor to get the discount and follow with buffing say demond with all the demon-buff spells to get a 15/15 body on the board and slam it on the enemy's face. While this is flashy and all, Dragonlock does this much better with Malygos.
The beauty is that it could get played at some sort of finisher in Demon using variants.
Yeah that additional +1 attack is going to do wonders as a finisher /sarcasm
Keep being sarcastic. The card is still playable. The drawback is just not that much appealing.
Well, It's not really burst, because no demons have charge. It's a great tempo card, but then we need a warlock tempo deck that goes into late game, which none do yet. Yeah, it's playable. It's cool.
Arcane Golem is never palyed too due to drawback right? Kappa
If there was a 3/1 for the exact same mana cost that could also be used as a spell I guarantee you actually wouldn't see it played.
Basically, imagine Wolfrider vs Arcane Golem, except Wolfrider instead says "summon a 3/1 with charge or deal 3 damage to an enemy minion." Would you still play Arcane Golem over Wolfrider?
Is it really a good finisher? Yeah, warlock really needed a 2 mana card to deal 3 damage, but that would be OP without a drawback, so they need a demon for it, and it cant be played in the early game. Still, excellent finisher.
warlock has tons of ways to finish without needs put Opponent gains wildgrowth in your deck. this card is worse then felgaurd and will never see play.
A conditional buff with the downside of giving your opponent a free Wild Growth--all for +1/1 over a typical buff spell....holy hot garbage, Batman!
And this is a common, too, which makes Warlock slightly worse in arena (knowing my luck I'll run into this trashpile no less than 20 times per draft). Could've at least made it an epic.
The card might end up viable if there going to Warlock cards which give a massive value if you buff your demons. Right now it has too many drawbacks: 1) Only castable on demons 2) Giving your opponent a mana crystal. With lacking one drawback it might have been medicore.
Also... WHERE IS PALADIN? Is he hiding because he has even worse cards, or is he holding all of the trump cards and are we going to need to praise him as our anti-aggro lord and savior?

Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
If you compare it to Rampage - same mana cost, rampage needs to have minion damaged but it can buff any minion, this one requires a demon but no other effects, warrior has a lot of ways to get own minions damaged and warlocks have a lot of demons, so why not leave this as +3/+3 for demons for 2 mana? Even if you add same ability as demonfire that it will buff or deal 3 damge people will still won't use this, since it's the same effect as felguard - you get yourself way behind on mana crystals for those cards to be effective
Why did people think that a high as f*ck satyr would bring a nice card for gaming, honestly? xD
In my opinion, even worse than the manager.

unplayable. giving your opponent wildgrowth will never be acceptable downside of a card.
how many cards will be playable from this expansion? 10-15? it seems pretty bad at the moment.
Its a common so the drawback is fine
still, below average card in the long term.
we have 0 clue about the unreleased cards so too early to sayy

+1+1. In exchange you lose the option to use it as a removal and you also give him a mana crystal. This is garbage.

I'm sure someday somebody will find a great way to get the best of this card.
Stop scream that every card is garbage. You might complain about them when they get released.
This guy gets it...
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.

I assume this is supposed to be a potential alternative to Power Overwhelming?
Sacrificial Pact can target Lord Jaraxxus...
Can Demonfuse target your own Lord Jaraxxus?!?!
