Weapon cards have a very specific design, and even when weapons had previews during the GVG build-up they still followed that gray-card spiked-border design, this is almost certainly a spell, unless the team wants to be that sneaky about it, but I feel like the hype for an unknown mage weapon would get more excitement, and be worthwhile to them, if they were confident in the design of said weapon.

I doub't it will be a weapon, but remember that muster for battle gives you a 1/4 weapon (plus the three silver hand recruits) and is a spell.
Kind of hoping this is the firs of various buff spells that will come on this set (the valkyria twins kind of give a hint there will be new buff spells)

In all seriousness though, that would make Arcane Explosion and Cone of Cold absolute trash. Plus mage has a ton of damage dealing spells, thus it would be redundant.
Two manas, double the damage of the next damage spell.
Well, that is OP as hell when going face. At least, say that it is only in the same turn, because if not, one can play this at the end of the turn, then, 20 damage to the face with piroblast next turn :P. But even then, i dont like 18 damage from this spell and two fireballs in the same turn, we already have ice lance and frost bolt for that...
P.D: And imagine Emperor Thaurissan disscount for this card and Pyroblast the same turn. OMG. LOL
I know Mage already has enough hard removal, but the picture makes that flaming lance look like it means business. Hopefully not a carbon copy of Fireball.
Maybe it will be a risk/reward card where it gets buffed up by using Hero Power or for x minions on board/in hand with Inspire text.
I doubt we would see a spell with multiple triggers, but imagine the effect changes depending on how many times you use your Hero Power while holding it. Use HP once while holding it > gains +1 damage. Use HP twice while holding it > +1 damage and AOE. Of course this would require way too much space on the card.
Whether you heard abut it or not doesn't matter.

As long as this card doesn't make tempo mage more annoying and will be good for another archetype (except freeze mage maybe) i'll be fine with it.

Maybe it'll upgrade your hero power to 2dmg. 3 if casted twice like priest's.

3 mana, deal 3 damage to a minion, if that kills it, trigger all friendly inspire effects.
