Velen's Chosen + this = a 5/8 body with divine shield as early as turn 4. Even with a Power Word: Shield, it's a 3/6 body with a divine shield.
You're the second person to say Velen+This Card being godly as early as turn 4. Now, 3 mana legendary + 3 mana spell = How in the world are you playing that on Turn 4? Even with a coin?
Youd play Fjola on turn 3, then Velen's Chosenon turn 4.
Simple.
Thinking about it, you could coin Fjola on turn 2, then Velen on 3. Woww.
This card is insane. Why? Because as long as you can keep your opponents side of the board clear, they cannot remove it unless its by Flamestrike, Twisting Nether, Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of healing or Shadowflame. Single target spells directed to this in hopes of destroying it will simply pop a divine shield, that's all.
I have to assume you're joking.
People are overvaluing this card. It's playable in Priest and Paladin and nothing else really. Could be great for them, nice solid 3 drop if you coin it out or go into BoK. But it'll be high priority for removal too.
Definitely more ideal for Paladins and Priests, but still viable for Druids and Warriors. If this card sees a lot of play I may consider running Blood Knight
Actually it works well alongside Blood Knight, since you may get the value of +3/+3 and achieve the Divine Shield again.
I see that a lot of people are thinking that cards like Inner Rage and other damaging spells would work.
This card says "whenever...". In Hearthstone, "whenever" effects are immediate, before the effect of the spell itself is resolved. So in case of the Inner Rage, you cast it, Fjora gets Divine Shield, then the effect of the Inner Rage goes, and remove Divine Shield, so we end up with 5/4 Fjora without Divine Shield.

So how would you remove it? Just shadow bolt it eh? Good roll on Imp-losion? This card is great because the divine shield will trigger before the spell lands, meaning the divine shield will tank any damage. Destroy effects and AoE still gets to it, but who runs Deadly shot and who would flamestrike a 3drop? Warriors can handle it, and minions can handle it. Thats about it.
...A minion? I mean, you said "if you keep your opponents board clear" - well in that case you win the blimmin' game anyway. It's not a good defense of the card. Or you use two spells. Or you ping it down. Or you use a weapon.
How does she interact with Shadow Madness? If I steal her will she get divine shield?
I would imagine it wouldn't get the divine shield since she doesn't belong to you until the spell takes effect and is no longer targeted by you. If it said "after you cast a spell" then it would trigger like Wild Pyromancer.
Dark Cultist got power creeped hard for priests, damn.
..... I feel incredibly dumb right about now.
I have to assume you're joking.

How about Druids with Mark of the Wild? +2/+2 and Taunt with a Divine Shield. It's build your own +1/+1 Sunwalker.
Current Deck -http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/240420-army-paladin - Token Paladin
But then you'd have to run Mark Of The Wild, and nobody does. Priests and Paladins already run buff cards.
Unfortunately she will not get the buff.
Play this card + play a spell on it + play blood mage : one 3/4 and one 6/6 on the board.
I don't know in wich deck, but still possible to do.

3/4 without Divine Shield, you basically used Moonfire for nothing, read my post above this one.
Quiet correct.
Mrghl Mrghl!
could be good to run 2 Bloodknights again :D

You mean Blood Knight right ?
Nope. The effect of giving +3 to a minion from tinker's oil is not a direct spell cast on a minion.

Blizzard
Arcane Explosion
Trolololo :)

Love all the misinterpretations...
