Anyone else realize that this gives priests a legitimate turn 5 OTK with double divine spirit into inner fire? Or that it also allows for more effective trading/healing due to being able to heal a minion for 2 with HP (4 with buffed hero power) or healing your face for 4 (6 with buffed hero power)? This card is *in theory* insane. If it survives for more than a turn it can cost you the game whether it be from the OTK or from effective trading due to healing... AND this is a HUGE counter for agro decks... Any deck can now out-sustain them just by using hero power... and control priest will be untouchable by anything that doesnt have a OTK. so IDK why people say this card is weak, especially when we still havent seen the rest of the cards, who knows what synergies await?
Could maybe fit into a new handlock style, depending on other synergies tba.
Garrison Commander, Maiden of the Lake, Tournament Medic, Justicar Trueheart, Frost Giant...
Not sure what you'd ditch besides Ancient Watchers, but it could work like current Handlock but with more longterm sustain, since you mitigate the damage from lifetap and can actually maybe heal and draw each turn.
If they add in some more synergy, it could be a thing.
Youd want to drop Mountain Giants if you want all that sustain, especially if you get the upgraded HP from justicar.
Garbage aggro will just ignore the card. Killing the card is giving 8 hp to the opponent. While not clearing takes 4 turns so there's no reason to kill it since it also has 1dmg.
As you already know this sucks against control. Sadly, consider the nightmare with grimpatron when it hits this 3 times.

See this is exactly why I don't like reviewing cards before the full set is released. When I see a card like this, it's obvious to me that it was meant to combo with something else that probably wasn't revealed yet. Oh how soon we forget, just a few days ago a lot of hero power cards were revealed and most people felt those cards were way too weak. Then shortly afterward, Justicar was announced which instantly made hero power cards look a lot more appetizing.
Now, I'm not saying for sure that a new card will directly synergize with Medic, but it seems silly to rate the card before knowing. Having said that, my kneejerk reaction is that I hate it specifically because it had 1dmg. I hate all expensive minions that deal 1dmg, UNLESS that minion is a card draw engine.
Not really, the opinion of top competitive players like trump and kolento remain unswayed after seeing Justicar. It's mostly the casuals that were enticed.

As it stands, this card is to Priest like Patron is to Warrior. This card benefits hugely from Priest's buffs and it lets the Priest heal himself while healing other minions.
I guess Paladin is a 2nd best; with their attack buffs. I'd say it might see play in Rouge but Rouge is bad for Inspire; even if she needs healing badly.
But this is a guy who shines with [attack] buffs. Velens; Inner Fire; Kings; Flametounge.
Those suggesting this should be a 3/8 are insane. 3/8 for 5 might be OP; let alone for 4. Yeti has 9 total stats and no text. This guy has 9 total stats and text. Also it trades with a lot of Hunter's 1HP cards easily while letting you heal up. It's an anti-Hunter card.

Finally, someone that's not here to post about their hard-on for what is literally the dumbest combo in the game: "Hey let's make a deck revolving around minions that sacrifice almost all their dmg potential for trading AND face for the slight possibility of it surviving a turn untouched (ignoring how easy it is to trade into) AND having another 3 cards in hand for 5 mana AND pray that they drop no taunt when they see this combo a mile away!"
But yes, Hunter (hopefully i should get in the habit of specifying Face-Hunter) is the one matchup with TONS of 1 HP minions that also focuses on the face, making this a perfect perfect SMOrc killer.
The good thing about this for Mage control is: if it gets killed by effigy it will guaranteed give you something with better stats. And if effigy gives u this off a piloted shredder I wouldn't complain either. Nice way to snowball heals, and u can use this plus a ping to remove pesky knife jugglers. Or this plus fallen hero to kill opponents shredder while still having 4 full health left after the trade.

EDIT: Just wanted to give some people an example of what I mean by OTK priest.

Then play it with a buffing class.
