I got Trueheart from a pack and I was disappointed at first but now I really like it, especially in CW.
I crafted Varian Wrynn, expecting it to be the best card in the expansion. It is pretty good, but not as good as I expected. I'd even say that I'd rather cut out Varian than Trueheart.
I agree. I have Varian in my warrior deck and I honestly rarely play him. He sits in my hand because I'm winning on hero power and fatigue. I usually don't want to risk overextending a losing momentum. Justicar is really really good. I'm sorry I even doubted that card. It forces your opponent to do 4 damage to you every turn or else you start piling up armor. It lets you know that no matter what you will win the long game and gets crazy value in a long game.
Will Justicar be useful beyond just Warrior (control) /Priest (control) /Pally (midrange/flood)?
I don't see her application/usage in these classes: -in Warlock (no synergy with hand lock) -not in Rogue (you can only take so much face damage and it doesn't fit the tempo nature of the class) -maybe in Shaman (can see it being useful but I don't play this class) -maybe in Druid (pretty nice armor gain, and easier clear, don't play enough of class to comment) -Mage (probably not, maybe there's some Inspire synergy)
I believe the question rather is if he is useful at all. He just seems too slow to have an impact in the current meta. I believe I have seen him once in ranked so far... For warrior, I think he is just too expensive, as the armorgain/weapon removal phase should be overon turn 6, and you need to try to get back the board. He is simply too weak as a tempo play. Shieldmaiden is a 5-5 and is a great tempo play on turn 7 together with shield slam.
This card has been the MVP for many of my CW games. Allows me to just tap for armor then just pass the turn. Perfect for shield slam and just wins fatigue game often due to the immense amor you accumulate over just a couple of turns tapping. I thought before the TGT release that Varian will be crazy for CW, but after playing since the TGT release with both these cards I can say Justicar is going to be a staple in my CW deck and there just isn't space in my deck for Varian.
Will be missed as much as Reno and Thaurissan, the holy trinity of neutrals which will leave us in the rotation.
Saying it was 'only' broken at Control Warrior/Priest is such an understatement. It's like saying Reno was 'only' good at Renolock, or Thaurissan in Freeze/Malyrogue.
Justicar was strong in pre-Standard Mill Druid and eventually used in Spell-heavy Druid lists, ok in Inspire Shaman decks (which pretty much works as Totem/Midrange Shaman, with some control~ish tools). Thaurissan fits in any gimmick combo deck one could ever imagine.
They were all legendaries which fitted in a countless number of experimental decks, some even get acknowledged lately such as Reno Mage.
Im actually playing control warrior and want to start a mage deck, do you think guys i should craft this over Varian Wrynn?
I think it's strong in control(mostly warrior..don't know about priest). And maybe in paladin with intendant.
Worth DEing golden Prophet Velen to get this guy? I rarely play priest, and the new good priests are dragon ones anyway...

Well we can all agree that this card is way better than expected.
I got a warning for this post and all I wanted was to discuss the damn card since it's relevant with the rotations coming up.
I'm here to kick ass and play cards, and I'm all out of ass.

I can't wait for this to go out of standard, I hate this card so much, too much warrior mirrors decided by just who got this card first.
