It's like a worse Snapjaw, stats wise,- maybe much worse since you need 5 mana to get "value" for it. I do like having something to do with 1 mana. I think it could fit into an Inspire deck, but probably will be eclipsed by the wide array of good 4 drops out there.
This card will be very good in priest decks, especially against aggro meta. Other than that I think it won't see much use in other classes. Only maybe in druid, because of stickiness.

Ping mage builds will use it for sure. Echo Frost Mage has to ping quickly, so it makes for a nice option to put a bulky minion on board while also upping your ping count. Combo Ping Mage NEEDS to use this card for combo plays as well.
Not sure why people are saying this is a hunter card. Hunter decks (as they currently exist) don't want to be playing a 2/6 on turn 4. In fact, I am struggling to thing what class will use this. Maybe more controlly Paladin, Warrior or Warlock decks?

Pretty sure there was a reason they listed Drake, Poison blade, Maiden next to each other, seems like the core of an intricate and probably totally unplayable combo deck.

By how poison blade is worded, i'm guessing it is a Rogue card (Only class with a hero power that could replace the weapon) so yea, totally unplayable combo deck :P (Drake being a mage card).
It's kind of a niche card specifically for decks that rely on inspire effects and abusing hero powers. We will see if such decks are viable in the future.
This actually synergizes well with taunt givers. It's like a snapjaw turtle with a little bonus (and 1 less health).
If this is already on the board when Handlock plays Jaraxxus, they get an infernal that same turn. Handlock already plays taunt givers, but I doubt they'll find space for this with the new Frost Giant.
We should be thinking about how this fits into new decks though. I am imagining Watcher-type control decks becoming viable for more classes
Indeed, if you have this card in hand before you start your hero power spam, you can push 18 target damage instead of 10. If you can Thaurissan two Fallen Heros to 0 mana, that's 30 targeted damage from your hero power. #TheDream

Alot of people will be running this card early in the expansion. I will be breaking out the old reliable Cabal Shadow Priest when that happens.
All I can say is that Majordomo seems like a way more interesting card with this and the new mage dragon.
I think this will make a good priest card. You can fit both inner fire and shadowform shenanigans into a deck with this.

Really? I can do 24 damage with 10 mana....

Ping mage once I perfect it. :p
Hello people
Would the effect stack and make the hero power become 0 cost? Coz 2 of this and the new mage dragon basically breaks the game
No... the wording restricts this. It changes hero power to cost 1, not reduced by 1.

Decent minion for Inspire decks.
I think we can all agree: Inspired Mage is going to become a meta thing!
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
dont forget about Fallen Hero

Kind of itching to get this in a priest deck to test it out. Would fit so many priest builds too.
