This card is insane. It seems almost like old Nat Pagle, whoever draws it first has too much of a headstart.
So many OTK combos are possible:
Prophet Velen Mindblast priest
Malygos Rogue
Ancestral Call Maylgos Shaman
etc.
Since this game doesn,t have instants (or anything that can be played on opponents turn, or in response to playing cards )Hearthstone need strong cards that CAN turn things around, even when you are far behind.
no facehunter will not wreck you because at that point druid becomes the aggro. But I digress. This is really stupid. The card is a legendary meaning it's restricted to a support card like sylvannas. Just because Sylvannas exists a mindcontrol deck does not become a viable deck. One card will not make OTK decks viable especially because it's restricted to a one of. Sure you can play otk warrior. But if you don't draw him your deck doesn't preform any better.
Anything thats been nerfed is considered broken; thus is why it was nerfed to fix the game.
How is this not broken? Play Emperor with Prophet Velens chosen (the spell damage thing) in hand, 2 mindblasts, and 2 Holy smites. Thats 28 damage on turn 8.
Yeah this card enables a combo that requires you to have 6 very specific cards in hand at turn 10! Clearly broken.
Not only that, but the cards only gets reduced in price at the end of your turn so all those cards have to be in hand the round before you play them as the new card drawn when you start the hand does not get included.
ooo...no! Are you saying that control and combo is gone see more play? The horror. I guess it's over for those sweet sweet 6-7 agro deck turns. What a sad day for Hs.
I'm going to start a new petition. It's not actually a petition, I'm just going to call it "Emperor Thaurissan Appreciation Month", because god bless a card that makes entirely unused legendaries suddenly viable.
And seriously, shutup.
Not only has no one gotten to play this card, but the combos you're suggesting are insanely difficult to pull off regardless. Even with Emperor, a Priest would have to get a perfect card draw, and still wouldn't be able to play both Velen and two Mind Blasts until turn 9, assuming you even draw those four specific cards. Which is a ludicrous complaint.
I can't believe this is serious...he's not even in game yet.
Why don't we QQ about something that's actually relevant for now huh? And besides you'd have to be holding onto a lot of cards for him to make them into a otk hand.
If turn 6 you play him and in your hand you have malygos and a bunch of targetable spells in your hand, unless you had good draws, or were in a slow matchup I'm guessing your opponent would have better board control and life lead then you.
Honestly if I'm paying 6 mana for a 5/5 I probably want Sylvanas 9 times out of 10. Very often this guy will get killed right away by cheaper dudes/spells and provide next to no impact and maybe give you a combined total of 3-4 mana discount across the next several turns.
There's a reason Malygos OTK isn't a good deck, and it doesn't really have anything to do with the costs of the cards - more that it's basically impossible to get into the position you need to be to actually pull the combo off, because all of your combo cards are also your removal cards and you're cutting a lot of value minions and removal to cram them in. If you can get to 9 or 10 mana with a hand full of burn, your opponent is doing something wrong.
Ha, I've already seen what happens. As a druid, I was able to pull off dbl force and dbl savage with one innervate on turn fucking 8. Not to mention fucking oil rouges you idiots, already the most broken deck in the world. All they do is take van cleef out stick this bastard in and boom literally half their decks are free. Blizzard are a bunch of morons to let a card like this be made. Now, if this effect was a battle cry, hell yeah! this card would be awesome and still op as shit, but to happen every turn its too much. This card=the death of hearthstone, not scum hunter, not scum mage, this fucking CARD!
I'm hesitant to say it needs a nerf yet, but it does seem like it would be much more appropriate as a Battlecry text. The guy above mentions probably the worst part of this card: the fact that it happens every turn is too much.
Boom and now the Emperor: these cards are way too strong, way stronger than the Legendary cards that came before them.
It is already a Boom Legend in the sense that it requires no skill to get value. The moment you throw it on the board you get value, no if ands or buts about it, there is absolutely nothing the opponent can do. This is extremely non-interactive. It not like a Sylvanas where it actually requires skill, and planning to make use of the powerful effect. Nope. Just throw it on the board like an aggro player: don't think, just play. Terrible design.
If not removed the turn it's played, the text value goes up 100% and continues adding 100% text value every turn it isn't removed. "End of turn," text it has makes Nat Pagle sad. Sure seems like this card saying "end of turn" is more offensive than that same text on Nat Pagle. It really should be a Battlecry, or atleast "start of turn."
Printing skill reducing cards at high mana costs is bad design. High mana cards should not get GUARENTEED VALUE AND EXTREME VALUE IN THE SAME PACKAGE. This is somewhat ok for low cost aggro cards, these are the cards that are meant to be brainless, plop em down and keep your aggro rolling. But having these types of cards at the top end of the mana scale: TERRIBLE DESIGN. Bringing the style of aggro to the control end of the game is extremely offensive. More and more they are ruining control.
Can it even be called control with cards like these? Control is about planning and thinking, and making tough mid-late game decisions that give you slight advantages, or BLOW UP IN YOUR FACE IF YOU MESS UP. These cards are turning the control end of the game into more aggro. Don't think, don't plan, just play the cards that get instant value and have 0 counter. This is not how control end, high mana cost minions are meant to be.
When playing control, you are supposed to be heavily punished if you don't play the correct cards at the right times. Boom and Emperor go completely counter to this. If they play either of these cards they get the value right then and there. Enemy has no chance to prevent the mana reduction upon playing Emperor, and no chance to prevent their board getting cleard/instantly losing board control once Boom arrives.
I guess maybe some would tell me that "if you want a thinking game, go play Magic, this is Hearthstone, no brains required." But if that's the case that's pretty sad. One of the beauties of this game is the simplicity compared to magic, not needing mana cards streamlines it and greatly speeds the game up.
Face hunter exists for these type of players. They don't need to be able to play control. If they can't think / plan / use skill, then they shouldn't be playing control, don't print cards to allow the zerglings to get away with aggro style high end, high mana cost decks. It ruins control.
Stop printing brainless aggro cards, with mana cost and effects of high end control cards. Ruining the game.
t2 Wild Growth t3 Innervate Emperor the Russian t4 Nourish and my opponent gave up
I actually do not want this card to be nerfed because it is a midgame threat you need to deal with, you can not just toss a bigger creature on the board in response and sit back.

We need to nerf Troggzor first imo
its not even out yet. give it a rest.
Shamelessly reported this thread.
''Haters so fake, leave me alone
They ask for a steak, I feed em' bone, ahhhh "
no. just... no.
Regardless of if it needs a nerf (which is WAY too soon to say)...
Starting a petition to Blizzard on a third party web site... good luck with that!
I'm starting a petition to buff Emperoar Thaurisomething, as I think he's not strong enough. Who's in with me?

So you're concerned about making Malygos and Prophet Velen viable?

is this even serious? who the hell would make a petition to nerf card which we havent even played yet?
i rather play against OTK malygos every day rather than aggro madness
Time is money, friend.
I think this card will be very powerfull but calling for a nerf before we played this card is premature..
Who can take your trash out?
Stomp it down for you?
Shake the plastic bag
and do the twisty thingy, too?
