The neutrals have been almost entirely designed to benefit Druid and to a much much lesser extent Warrior. I have no idea why anyone is crying over what is, in essence, 1 of basically 6 ramp druid specific cards that are being released. Druid is gonna be the class to beat (with face hunter naturally)
The most interesting thing about this card is that they finally solved the Druid of the Claw / Ancient of Warwording problem. I'm expecting them to errata DotC to match this wording now.
doesn't sound that good... This is not a tech card, best thing it accomplishes is being a beast: as 5/2 dies to almost anything and will be rarely cast as such, but as 2/5 doesn't get rid of 3 health minions which are already around by turn 3 - it hasn't got taunt nor an immediate effect.
IMHO keeper of the grove is still much better even at 1 mana more. Underwhelmed as with GvG druid cards :-(

If beast druid will be a thing, this card is great. If it wont be a thing, then druid will keep playing Shade.

Even after it's played, it'll just get BGHed, though if they don't have the BGH, it'll wreck some serious havoc. Without more synergies, I don't see beast Druid ever being competitive.

This is very true. I wonder if beast Druid will ever hit a turning point where all of a sudden it's a thing. It would only take a few more spells/minions to make it happen. In the meantime though, Druid is just getting shafted with their class cards.
not surprising druids didnt get some extra juicy card. You want to keep the ramp, the draw and fon/savage? well, there is your price, getting blastmage level minions just isnt an option from a balance pov... same goes for other classes like rogues, warriors and mages getting cards for completely different decks than whats popular and strong...
I prefer the spider tank still, over its 2/5 form but this can turn into a 5/2 as well, so there is a flexibility there.
Now call me crazy but my guess is the 5/2 form will be played much more often than you might think. Not on curve but later on in the game. Maybe vs priests you will want to play this as a 5/2 on curve as well if there is nothing to contest it on board.
Comparing it to the new Blackwing Technician its obviously worse if you can manage to activate Technicians effect. But realistically you need to be running a dragon deck + have a dragon in hand by turn 3 which isnt the easiest thing in the world since there arent many dragons to choose from and mulligans can be quite tricky!!!
Lastly , the animal forms are both beasts so it might enable a beast druid with druid of the fang. Imo this SINGLE beast interaction isnt enought reason to cut staple cards and add beasts in your deck.
Hopefully im wrong and there will be new competitive druid deck/decks.

Seems kind of mediocre, at least compared to other BRM cards. Makes Druid of the Fang slightly more viable I guess...
Druid should probably get more cards that synergize with beasts instead of just... beasts.

When archetype appears - than we can talk about it. Now there is no new archetypes, and spider tank is better in current reality.
and i think that Spider tank is better independent of metagame. 3 attack is a lot more useful than 2. Ind it newer changes.
