A lot of win more cards are played though, as finishers. Unless you have BGH, what are you going to do with this? Direct damage won't do anything to a 9 health, it's going to trade with 2-3 minions at least, You've probably used removal on big legendaries. If not, well, their removal is probably going to cost around 6 mana anyway, so it's not a big tempo loss. Silence it? 6/6 is still solid.
I don't think it'll have widespread play because temple enforcer didn't (though if a mid range priest comes around, that card might come back). If legendaries weren't in the game, this would be very strong. But because there's sylvannas/cairne/black knight in the game, class cards like cabal/fire elemental/highmane, and then the good Doctor looming at 1 mana higher, yeah, there's no room for creatures like this, except in dragon decks that focus around that area. Druid/shaman maybe.
Not only do people think in a vacuum, they think, somehow at the same time, that only the current meta ever has and ever will exist. There's cards that have been played in the past that don't win you the game immediately, but win if you don't deal with it. Ysera was played in tons of decks before naxx, and she only won you the game if you couldn't deal with her. same with malygos miracle rogue decks. These would be seen as unplayable today, but only because the meta needs to slow down. Which I think blizzard is trying to do, along with trying to make new decks viable (which people also seem to ignore)
Good points, I hope you're right. I always played dragon decks in MTG, so I'm REALLY hoping blizzard don't shit the bed with this and dragon decks actually become a thing. Especially since I'm quite fond of Ysera and Malygos and wouldn't mind them coming back.
There's a reason that no creatures with 7 or more attack are played in ranked unless they have an immediate impact on the board. Or can be made incredibly cheap (giants) Even if this card was always a 9/9 for 6, people would pick Sky Golem or Sylvanas over it.
This card will not be seen 1 week after this wing is out and I will come back here and you will admit that you were wrong all along. Have fun running this guy into Annoy o trons and Sludge Belchers while the opponent beats your face in with Piloted Shredders.
Use it as a good set of midrange threats. After you bait out hard removal, you can either play these as 9/9s or play your other late game threats.
These guys sort of allow you to play with your opponent's health to play them as a 6/6 or a 9/9. To be honest, the 9/9 is going to be quite good in a lot of situations, because you just can't remove every threat that your opponent has with BGH.
If you play Dr. Boom, he gets BGH'd and the bombs help you clear the board, you then play these guys without fear.
I think it's time for you to admit you were wrong. Have not seen this once in constructed on my journey to rank 4.
Your original message said nothing about which play mode we will see it in. I have seen it in most of my arena runs. Constructed may be something else, but I am gonna be the little person here and say you were wrong, although you're intended message was clearly aimed at constructed play.

This card is garbage

I see the strategy behind this:

They also have the dragon tag, so there's that.

Used in 2.32% of decks. Oh boy, Almost as much as Stormwind Champion!
I would see this card being worth it in a deck that is aggressive early and gets opponent down to 15 or less life by turn 6.
A face hunter would be an obvious pick but:
That pretty much sums it up. Interesting card but someone needs to still "break" it.
