Does anyone know what will happen in you use this card in the PvE fights of Naxx or BRM? How does it know what class the bosses are? Can it give you their unobtainable spell? Even if this is the case, it is the last card you unlock in the adventure so you can't use it beat any bosses you haven't already killed. There's still heroic, and the next adventure...
way too slow. I would much prefer Ysera for my 9 slot and don't see how this guy is any better at all, especially since he can get hit with BGH, Shadow Word: Death and Ysera cannot.
I think its too slow, so It will likely not see that much play. In a control meta, this might be good. However, there are a lot of useless class spells in the game, but It could pay off.
Finally, my @!$#ty shaman Totemic Call deck will triumph where people who play so-called "useful" cards fail!
THE LAST LAUGH IS MINE, PEASANTS
Sorry if you thought putting totemic mights in your deck would make the opponent more likely to get them from his nefarian... it gives a random spell from that class not your deck :( sry if I misunderstood
and thus the counter for mechmage was realized. have a flamestrike and a blizzard.
Sure, if you weren't dead already by the time you can play him, if he's your answer to Mech Mage.
I'm not really convinced.
His 8/8 body is nothing really to shout about, and the spells could end up being either a weak one, or something you cannot use (hello Shield Slam).
that is a good point, however this is from the perspective of a taunt druid main, so i will likely live long enough to see him used, and then use some free board-wipe, however usually by that point in the match they are running out of things to put on the board and run head first into an ancient of war.
so yeah hes not going to be game breaking or even meta shifting, but i see him being situationally useful.
It is worth remembering that everyone will be able to get Nefarian if they put enough gold into the scenario. It's not like a pack legendary, where maybe you get it, maybe you don't.
As others have mentioned, there are clearly going to be some times when he wins the game by pure dumb luck. More likely, though, is that he's going to end up in decks that already run spell damage or spell discounts. I'm guessing he'll show up in Mage, Priest, and Rogue more than anywhere else.
Meh... there is too much randomness in it; there are so many really really bad spells out there... it would be better if it were 2 class cards including minions and weapons, but so...
Against druid, draw Force Savage! Against paladin, draw equality consec! Against handlocks, draw sac-pact for Jaraxxus!
Well you could also draw innervate tree of life against druid, draw blessed champion holy wrath against pally, or sense demons against warlock. But I guess whatever happens, the fun is real.
Auto-include in dragon decks for fun and versatility for me.
8/8 body with a more random Thoughtsteal mixed in. Not bad and faster than most of the other 9 mana dragons (looking at you Ysera). Also, it's a dragon! Lets that dragon synergy kick in. I feel like this card's potential will be exposed more and more as the rest of the Blackrock cards are revealed.
If the meta is slower everyone will be running this! As powerful as Dr. Boom but 2 turns slower.

who would play a 9 drop in an aggro deck anyway
Nefarion is love, Nefarion is life.

let me change your mind...
If nefarion is played I will probably not even run Lord Jaraxxus in handlock.

Terrible against rogues if not in a weapon class...
Fits in well with the other 9 mana dragons though.
Put your faith in the light!

Id much rather play Rgnaros on turn 8 -9 times out of 10
I Have No Time for Games
If you come to a point where you can play this card and have another turn for Flamestrike then you have already won the game Mr rank 15 guy..
Warrior with Flamestrike?? Priest with Auchenai Soulpriest Healing Touch??? Druid with Muster for Battle!!
Some games will be so messed up!!
Finally, Blizzard is adding cards that let Totemic Might see some play! It's about time.

Not as bad as Rend Blackhand, but still not as good as Volcanic Drake or Hungry Dragon.
Total # of spells for each class (excluding Blackrock Mountain cards)
Druid: 23
Hunter: 19
Mage: 23
Paladin: 21
Priest: 20
Rogue: 19
Shaman: 18
Warlock: 17
Warrior: 17
The odds of pulling the spell you really want are pretty low and there are a lot of bad ones.
Not sure how you're contributing to this thread by dissing someone about in game ranks.
''Haters so fake, leave me alone
They ask for a steak, I feed em' bone, ahhhh "
Ha! This does not disappoint!
