95% of hearthstones Art is bad So I guess most of it since not only are there no amazing pieces that are just amazing they also don't have a beautiful ascetic.
I really like that piece, avacyn, and i love the unhinged basics. My favorite aesthetic(knew i was misspelling it just to lazy to google it):is from game called Terrene Oddyssey
...can I just come out and say as interesting as the Black Rock Mountain concepts are, the art is just atrocious?
Seriously, nearly every one. Grim Patron and Dark Iron Skulker look like almost-finished WoW models, Blackwing Technician looks like she's from a Hearthstone coloring book, it took me a good minute staring at Dragonkin Sorcerer to wonder what the hell I was looking at and another two minutes of wondering what kind of human being could believe that's a finished product, and Flamewaker... I don't even know whats up with Flamewaker. And Core Rager looks like vomited Cheetos.
No complaints because I'm sure they'll make the game more interesting regardless, but yeah, they're ugly.
agreed, Dragonkin Sorcerer is the worst. seems like the art is now an afterthought to the Hearthstone team.

Well most of the art has been taken from the WoW tcg, so I don't think that Team 5's focus on card art has been anything other than supporting the artists of Blizzard's less popular quite more expensive game.
Also, I think the problem some people are having with the expansion is the theme. Back in GvG we were getting a bunch of wacky robots and silly goblins, the overall attitude of the theme was just fun and the cards were very colorful in many varieties. But when you are inside of a volcano, only a few colors are really present, you never see any greens or purples or blues. So yea the art is kind of bland and simple from a color perspective but that's just kind of the theme that Hearthstone is going with with this next expansion

i dont really see the expac that way. BRM is probably my favourite zone from wow. it has some really cool art and lore. dragons, dark iron dwarves, elementals, lava fire, no reason why it should be so bland.
it is true they have always sourced art from community artists. it's just it doesn't look like they are trying at all to find appealing art for these new cards. it's like they are just happy to find a piece of art with the minimal amount of effort and just slot it in the card.

I doubt that Team 5 just google searches and picks the first image they see when it comes to card art. It could be possible that there isn't much to choose from when looking for artwork for certain cards of this theme. Or maybe there are lots of people who think the art looks good, and this is all a mater of opinion :P
If you do think that Hearthstone needs to step up it's game when it comes to the artwork of new cards, you could always submit your own creations to Team 5 for the next expansion. :D
Yeah I guess It's more like 90% are averageand 5% are bad. It's kind of like old magic Art before Mirrodin other tham there is no hilariously weird pieces like stasis. Aesthetic is really just opinion exsxlusively.
I think it's cool that they're letting different artists leave their distinct style on cards, much like M:TG did back in the day (back when I was playing anyway, not sure how things look like now). It got to the point where you could tell who did a new card without even looking, like Richard Kane Ferguson's work. But then you have crappy stuff like Giant Strength from the Legends set, and whoever the hell drew Stasis, wowww.
Having said that, I really think Lightwell is just lazy and uncool. I refuse to believe someone got paid for that.
Probably 50% of people will say King of Beasts. It's pretty bad. Besides that, i don't like the overuse of falling snow in the background and other art that mimics others closely. The best art is the ones that are completely unique like Haunted Creeper for example. Actually has stuff going on instead of flaming flashy crap.
Eye for an Eye would have to be my vote. Blessing of Might and Humility aren't my type either.... I just realized after all this time playing Hearthstone that Humility isn't two people huddling in the rain together... lol.
Echo of Medivh. Card is so ugly i refuse to use it. Looks like bad photoshop on top of MS Paint.

Imp Gang Boss have a really good image. half of the cards in the game have way worst pics than this one.
So you think old WoW models looks good? D:
Old wow models are insanelly terrible looking, and non art should look like that.

Yeah King of Beasts looking like the winner.

Ironbeak Owl
Reckless Rocketeer forever worst

Let's get salty!
Blessing of Might is freaking ugly. Before you ask why i think that, ask yourself, what is beauty? xd

King of Beasts; it does not look wild, it looks like he lives in silvermoon and he goes everyday to the barber for his hair.

I am pretty sure I have a drawing of theFire Elemental in my 7th grade history notebook.
I think King of Beasts is fine. A lot of the Druid cards I don't care for though, like Naturalize and Mark of Nature.

Overall though, I love Hearthstone's art.
Yeah new cards look like lower quality, nevermind.
Hearthpwn uses high-res PNG images, something looks off.
